Nice Red-winged and Mocking bird, Rose.
Angele, love Pete.
Pretty female Cardinal, Luvs

I have two of these Rock Pigeons, that come to my yard. About 5 yrs ago I had hundreds of them. they would empty a feeder in no time. I'm glad I only got these two, but do wonder what happen to all of the others.

Burn..those Pigeons are really beautiful! I've only seen one in the yard and I'm kind of glad as the little ones are eating me out of house and home.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Thanks Rose, these will, eat you out of house and home for sure, and they are not fussy eaters either, anything goes.;)

That pair of pigeons both look quite similar to the genuine wild-type Rock Pigeon, not like the usual mess of stuff you get in city flocks!

Burn, I see Rock Pigeons (is that the same as a Rock Dove?) in town a lot but I have never seen one at my home. I hear of feeders being taken over by them. I wonder if it is because I don't have platform feeders or maybe the White-winged Doves or another bird chases them off. I do throw handfuls of seed on the ground for ground feeding birds like the quail. Better knock on my wooden head or my yard will probably be full of them tomorrow!

I used preview but I still cross-posted with resin, sorry!

Yes, same.

Resin

Thanks, Resin. Off to do some research. Curious mind.

Angele, Doves mingles with Pigeons here, they eat with them on the ground. They can be very messy birds, when they come in groups. Windshields , house siding, deck, you name it gets the white dumping.
Resin we have the darker ones as well, they seem a bit smaller then these ones. They stay near old buildings and bridges. People have put up fake Owls on top of buildings to discourage them, but it doesn't work.

Nanny, here's a crow for you.
