Great Bohemian Waxwing pic burn
love Mourning Doves nanny-- usually a lone one has shown up in our grapevines the last two years-hopefully this year too.
Its too early -- the birdies are still in bed--I can hear em in the evergreens waking up-it snowed here last night and very tranquil out when I put out
the hummer feeders. Will add extra food out in a moment and have morning coffee and see who is around.

Mount Pleasant Mills, PA(Zone 5a)

Great pictures. So nice to see a Bluebird, Nanny.

Dirt, I loved your pictures on the last thread.

Burn, thank you for remembering those of us on dial-up!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Nice start Burn! You have some very cool birds up there in all that snow!

Nanny, I'd take any pic of a bluebird!

Just an American Goldfinch. Don't worry the feeder wasn't completely empty and he was the only visitor.

Burn and nanny, wonderful photos!!

Elphaba, my goldfinch feeder is more than twice the size of yours and I can't keep it filled up either! You'd think these little guys would get fat!

Nice to see pictures of Bluebirds. None here yet.
It was 19 degrees and snowing hard this morning, still snowing about 2 inches so far, and windy. Here is a not very good picture of a pair of unhappy robins. Had to take it through the window. They are sitting in a Crabapple tree and if the weather were better they would be eating the little crabs

As usual the pics are great! I finally got a camera just in time to learn to use it on a trip to Costa Rica--just got back with over 1,800 pics. It is rather overwhelming but picked out 3 to post. Your photos now have my total admiration. What a challenge to get a bird close enough, in the right light, in focus and not covered by twigs , grass or shadows! Anyway here is one of my favorite birds from the mountains--Blueheaded Mot Mot.

There are not many Common Moorhens around right now so I guess this one joined the American Coots for safety.

The greatest birdwatching I have ever encountered is in Costa Rica!

Nice start on this thread...love seeing all the different birds and those birds from Costa Rica are gorgeous!

Here is a Fox Sparrow from the brush pile of course. I finally got a clear shot and the White-Crowned Sparrow decided to get into the act!

Beautiful birds Rockminer, wish I could take a trip there. Love their colors.
Lovely pics Frank, love the Black Vulture as well.
Rutholive, poor Robins coming up, to that gloomy weather, They would be facing the same thing here.
Duc I want to see one of those sparrow, Your came to the feeder?
Nanny, Canada, Geese!!! yep Spring is near. My hope is slowly becoming reality.
Thanks everyone.
I have a visitor to my yard this morning, he had his lunch and taking his own sweet time resting and looking around. The Doves have come back to the yard, even though he's still there. One even sat in the same tree as him. As you can see he's very visible to birds. Gloomy here as well.
