DAILY PICS VOL. 185
Thanks for starting the new thread Mrs Ed! Love the Goldfinch piggies. :-)
Nice pics bsharf!
BSharf, so glad you posted here, didn't mean to step on your toes!! Very nice! I have that same green feeder.
Thanks Pelle!
I knew I had Purple Finches here, but after an email from someone down the mountain about the Cassin's arriving, I thought I'b better check things out. I think this one is a Cassin's. NWF Guide shows the Purple with thicker bills and the red coloration going considerably farther down the front of the body.

I dunno, I think you might have the purple finch.
Purple for me too - it doesn't show the pale eye ring that Cassin's has
Resin
I can't believe how fast the last volume went. It was chock full of amazing photos and this one is off to a great start too.
Mrs Ed, I see the goldfinches have taken a liking to that new feeder. It'll be popular with Sisken as well, as Redpolls if they decide to show up for you. :)
Thanks for the new thread.
Cute expression on your Cardinal bsharf.
I love the purple finch, I will be glad to see them again.
Hairy Woodpecker all bent out of shape.
