a couple others from yesterday. There won't be any blooms from anything in my yard taken today... there's about a 1/2" of snow. :-(
slightly different angle on the hellebore up above.
Garden Photos of '09......#3
little cyclamen coum flower. poor thing has been trying to bloom for at least a month through snow and ice, it finally opened, and now it has snow all over it.
nice they wont grow in my area to cold
beautiful
You're right, Patti, that deer fencing is hard to see, which is a good thing.
Allison, you're right, your fencing isn't high enough to keep out deer. They can jump anything lower than 8', or so I've read.
Cousin nut, I read that hellebore seeds can take up to 18 months to germinate, as well. I just ordered some seed. I will have a long wait on them.
Mona, I love your bouganvilla. They were everywhere when I lived in Mesa, AZ. I sure would love to be able to grow them here. I loved them. I have a friend who grows those checkered lilies (fritillaria). I would love to get some myself.
Nice to see snowdrops, Victor. Mine are getting ready to bloom, too. Your squirrel is really cute.
Shelly, I was thinking waders would be a good thing. Great minds think alike!!!! Love your new pics of your new dark hellebore, Shelly.
Karen
im zone 5 out end of may in at the end september I think because of the stress of in and out they bloom like crazy for 8 months of the year.
how cool
after I realized you were posting ... I paused... sorry
you paused??? why? what were you going to post or say?? post away!!
they are all beautiful!!! that jade star is outstanding though
trying not to break up your photos... too late
I really love that one
ohhh... don't worry about that. i have a lot. enough that I'm not going to post them all tonight. Couple more now, the rest tomorrow night.
And thanks! I agree about the jade star. They were all sold by the time I got there. Although, long story short. I ran into someone folks that I know who are landscapers, later in the day, and saw the plant in the back of their truck. So, I can go visit!
man I am yawning my head off this morning... too much walking at the flower show yesterday mabye
ooooohhhh those are pretty... I really have to try them again
Oh wow. The flower show sounds good. So, you have some pictures to share then?? ☼
Those were really good! Thanks for sharing. Were you there just to see it all? or a judge or participant?
just to see it all... my first time going... glad we went
It looks as though it was one that was really well done. Thanks for taking the pics. I'm off to bed for a while!
sweet dreams!
still here
wow - I have stirrings in the garden, but no blooms. I've always tried and failed at cyclamen. I finally gave up on them. I did see trillium in one of the catalogues. I've been thinking of adding them - any thoughts?
