Allison, you're addicted! That's a full-time job!
Hope all is well, Celeste. Have not seen you posting much.
Well....you know when you plan to fix the roof come spring.....then it leaks before spring gets here. The leaks are coming in the livingroom...where I painted the walls and put a new wood floor last May. YUP....and on my beautiful wooden self Brian made especially for my pixie's in my office....the rug in there was soaked also.
That was last Friday, Jan. 30,so on Sat. Jan. 31st I went up and chopped all the built up ice off the roof and most of the leaks stopped. Later on I went down to the basement to do a load of towels when my bloodhound nose picked up a "hot" scent. I followed my nose down through the rooms until I came to the furnace. The front of it was cherry red hot!! Yelled to Brian and he took over from there. We got it fixed temparily until the furnace guy could get here on Monday morning. He came, fixed it and has ordered $400 more worth parts for a later visit. OH joy!
This past Sat. Feb. 7 we had company over most of the day so I wasn't using the water much. After everyone left I went down again to do laundry. I start the machine and notice it's dribbling water, no pressure. 0/zip/nadda! Now there are 2 households on this
well...it's been that way forever and have never had a problem...not even in times of drought. We have also never blown a underground pipe before either, but we have now! Oh did I mention DH and I have the money saved to have our own well dug this summer too? We thought it time that each house have it's own.
Evidently 2009 is not or year for timing!! Oh, and have you ever tried to find someone to dig up a well in the middle of the winter with 4 feet on snow on the ground and on a Sunday to boot?
We have great friends and family is all I can say!!!!!
Oh no!!! So sorry, Celeste. Man, when it rains, it pours. Hope things start looking up real soon!
Thanks Victor me too! However the thought of this coming Sat. sends me into body quivers. lol
oh man, hope nothing else goes wrong.
Wow, Allison, what a lot of work. I wish I could order some cuttings, but I don't know where I'd put them all. It would be nice if they sold smaller quantities, though I'm sure they are catering to people who are in the business of selling plants. If I had a greenhouse I'd be doing that myself. I do sell plants, but I just don't have the room to do that amount of volume.
Celeste, sorry to hear about all those problems you have going on there. That's never good.
Karen
Sending good wishes your way, Celeste.
Whew! is all I can say Allison. I had some angelonia last summer and absolutely loved it. I'm trying it from seed.

onewish - do you sell your plants or is your property that large?
I should sell them... but I share these with family and friends
celeste sorry to hear about the leaks, well and furnace. talk about three strikes!
Placed my coleus co-op order last night. 15 varieties.
Yummy I'm bracing for the next snow period.
Keep going back to the long range forcast from Farmers but it was completely wrong.Guess you have to subscribe to get the truth
No - you have to stick your head outside to get the truth!
HA HA HA you always come to the point.
allison it looks like your back is going to be hurting/is hurting like yesterday - and i saw where you claim he would crush you if he stepped on you - here is what you have randy do for your back. you lay face down on the floor and have him apply pressure to your spine - your back should start popping you will feel a lot better
he might keep going LOL
