snow stopped for now

38 now going up to 42... supposed to get some snow showers today

40 F., overcast with just a hint of blue sky in a small patch; about 6 inches of new, wet snow since yesterday afternoon; trees were laden early this a.m., but the snow on their branches is dissolving now

Overcast now that the rain and fog from early this am are gone. Light wind and 37 degrees. Got about an inch last night before the change over to rain. Drip drip drip and the melting is continuing, yeah.

Currently 43 and cloudy. Very foggy this morning.

This pretty much sums it up--a white yard again! But, when I opened the window to take the photo, several birds were singing--yea!

We got 4-6" and then some rain that knocked it down 3" . No sun - so its out there.

Yep I noticed this am it wasn't toasty warm but the air didn't have that cold biting edge to it, even with the breeze. If you closed your eyes and made the snow cover disappear, with the bird song and all it would seem a little like early spring. The air had that freshness to it. Probably just the increased humidity but whatever works is a good thing. No if the sun would show up it would be even better. Way up to 41º now.

We got a dusting yesterday afternoon that soon melted. Getting colder and windy now, was mild this AM.

Getting cold again tomorrow, so hope for more melting this afternoon.

it was beautiful this afternoon for a few hours... the sun was intense .. for the first time the heat was off in the car and my window open... now it's back to being cold and dreary out

well this morning found over 6 inches of snow and it is still there they say more tomorrow

18°, very windy, could only do 1 mile this morning instead of 2, wimpy.

its minus 18 Celcius this morning with the windchill man my fingers are num after being out for ten minutes to put the kids on the bus, I hate this arthritis in the hands and the cold make it hurt real bad man I want sunshine and heat lots of heat

'Snow showers' last night--woke up to a couple inches of new stuff on the ground.

OH man its snowing again and my babies need some sun or they will get to tall and spindly how it stops soon

Snow squalls last night left another inch or so---now it's very windy---doesn't feel like 20s --feels like zero.

that is because with the wind it is just that same kind of weather here

Well back to the cold biting temps again. A little dusting of snow over night but at least the sun is shining today. Temp is 23 and a little breeze just makes it seem colder. It is coming from the south west so that should help get us just above freezing this afternoon.

This weather is lasting tenaciously!

yuppers first big storm was the first week of november lol we do not usually have storms till almost xmas 15th or later and worse was that it has not stopped since, it just keep coming and coming we have had to thaws one late december and one last week that took care of about 4 to 5 feet of snow and still over 2 feet on the ground and drifts of 4 feet on my spring bulb garden I am afraid that by the time the snow is gone it will be so warm that they will not last more than a couple of days in bloom and all the flowers will be short and small since they will grow to quick for good blooms

the poor little birds are all puffed up sitting out there I think they are ready for warmer weather also

Well the sun has abandoned us now for the most part and been replaced with mostly cloudy skies. The wind has picked up considerably to 15-20mph which not only erases the measly one degree increase in temp since early this am but makes it feel much colder. Yuck :(
