I run from paperwork!! I rather be off chasing windmills Maid M.
Thanks Cody. Anyone can do it, a matter of focusing!
It may just be a small celebration, but to Tristen, her mama gave her the BEST birthday party ever!
Tina, when we left this evening, there's still a little snow left on the roof!!
Lisa, on what date will you be leaving?
Back to my chores...
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞100
You are very welcome Jaye.
I guess everyone is hidding.
Jaye;
I am hoping either that thursday night or friday morning(may 21 or 22nd) and not sure if I'll leave that sunday or hang around for a long time..
....no one said I wasn't off chasing windmills while doing the paperwork--actually computer work.
Evening everyone. Had homemade soup tonight as it is miserable here. In the 30 and wind blown so it really is rough when you go outside.
Hello Tina from MB. Thanks for the wishes for Mom--she is on a roll today--says she is now going for 100 and I am not going to dispute her. She is a strong willed lady.
Tristen looks like she has had a wonderful birthday. Oh the joys of being 7.
Waving to Cody and all the others.
Evening everyone..
Just a quick check in as Im off to get to straightening some paperwork of my own out..
Tristen finally passed out about 20 minutes ago. Keeping them home from school tomorrow.. Its supposed to be 18 in the am and our transmission line blew of teh truck this afternoon. Max got it back on before his boss showed up but we didnt have but one quart of fluid so the truck isnt moving very well and I refuse to make the kids walk to school and Tony to wait at the bus tsop out in this cold icky stuff..
Huggs to all
Donna
Aw Jaye surely you're not bragging about snow are ya? I really would not last in the very cold weather that our northern sistah's are in. I would starve and freeze to death. Marion my Mom is the same she is 81 years young and can run circles around me.
Good night girls
Ok, went to the dr, sat in the waiting room 45 minutes, then another 30 in the room. Here's the scoop, my temperature is 98.6, my blood pressure is 120/80, my oxygen is 98%, my white blood cell count is on the number that is ideal for a 36 year old woman, he pushed on my gallbladder, no pain even though he was trying to tell me there was, he pushed on all of my guts, no pain even though he was trying to tell me there was, he told me he thinks it's either a virus, bacteria, or a simple case of the runs, which is what he decided to treat and prescribed Imodium because that's what people take who have this problem, even though I told him I have NEVER had this problem and it is definitely NOT normal. So I decided that I will take what he said, hopefully he's right since there is a ton of different viruses going around right now, and if I'm still having problems next week I'll go see the dr who did the appendectomy or a dr who specializes in gastritis or whatever it's called.
Now I have something else disturbing. We got a new neighbor in what should be a condemned trailer across the street. They've been there about a month now, well he decided he was going to come over and make friends with Dave this afternoon, waking him up of course. They guy first asked if Dave had seen anyone go into his property and slash one of his tires. Then went on to say that he saw Dave leave for work last night at 8:45 and was wondering if anyone was home (what is he doing looking over here, he's catti-cornered from us and we can barely see his trailer from our front yard.) He said he's a preacher at a church that a lot of Dave's relatives happen to go to, so Dave started naming all of these names and he didn't know anyone and changed his story to he works in Little Rock on Graveyard too, but wouldn't say where. He's going to have his daughter and her kids move in, it's a 1 bedroom singlewide with him and his wife. He said this trailer is his dream home even though it's full of mold and mildew. Dave told him that there is no crime down here and all of the women and 99.9% of the men have very sharp aim and aren't afraid to shoot, plus I work for the State Prosecutor LOL! Dave told him the only crime we have is from the people who live in that trailer he lives in, so his address is on the sheriff's records as a "trouble house." The couple has been there about a month, he's already had to have the ambulance out plus he called the cops about his slashed tire. Dave's afraid to leave me alone now since I don't really know how to shoot a gun, I have shot before but it's been a long time and in a shooting range with things over my ears. I guess I should go get a small gun but big enough to do some damage. I know a 9mm Glock is too heavy for me lol! Here we go again!
The last neighbors who lived there had 2 pit bulls, they let them run loose and they got into my next door neighbors dog pin two different times, the first time injured the beagle, the second time they killed the beagle and one of the yellow labs, the wife next door heard the second dog fight, went out with her gun, shot and killed one of the pits and injured the other one in the shoulder. The neighbors moved when they started going to court over the vet bills.
I'm sorry to hijack but I needed to vent.
Here's a picture of the trailer:
I'm not trying to stereotype or offend anyone. We live about 15 minutes from the nearest town. Why would some random person go way out in the sticks, pick this one house on a dead-end 1 lane road, walk up this long driveway and slash someones tire? I don't believe that's the reason he came over here.
Crissy, what you need is a good shotgun.....rack it and the sound should make them think...if not, it has a wide pattern and you don't have to have a good aim....
That's what we're here for Crissy... rant away.
Be careful... none of that story sounds kosher... I agree... why would they pick out the worse house on the block to vandalize... and why would that man come over and tell your hubby all about it, then tell him that he's been watching the goings on at your house... there's something really wrong with that picture...
So, it sounds like your doctor wasn't really listening to you, huh? My doc did the same thing the first time I complained about my stomach problems... when I went back and told him it hadn't gone away, I made him pay attention to me... now he tells me "at least you're not a boring patient"... after running every test imaginable, trying every medicine for every conceivable illness... I finally (after 2 years) cured myself by drinking a liquid diet for 2 weeks (actually almost 4 weeks, but I was eating some soft foods for a while too). Haven't had the problem since, and it's been 2 months.
Crissy I would definitely recommend you contact the Sheriff and tell them what you have told us......this guy sounds like bad news.....
Hey Marion waving back at you.
Hey Trisha,how was your day?
Hi Cody! I had a really great day today!!!! I got to meet Rachael (rachierabbit) !! She is the first DG member I that I have gotten to meet in person.....she is so sweet and she, Laura and I had a wonderful visit!!!
How was your day??
I'm glad you had a great day.
My day was good.I took my son to get his hair cut.I'm just alittle down,he leaves tomorrow and goes and visits his daddy until Tuesday.
I am sorry you have to spend so much time away from from your little one. But it could be a lot worse hun.....my daughter and son-in-law have full custody of his daughter. The mother had a lot of drug and alcohol problems. She won't agree to have tests for drug and alcohol use so she only gets to see Sage for 2 hour court supervised visits one day per week. It is really sad. I wish she would grow up and show some responsibility because Sage would like to have more visits with her mom. But at least my Laura is a really good mom to Sage and loves her a lot.
He is only gone for 10 days out of a month.I get him for two days in between the 10 days.It just rips me up that he is gone so long at a time.He lives with me and goes and visits his dad.I do call and check on him every night when he is gone.I am lucky that i have him more then his daddy.I am blessed with that. It's just he is my only child and that is way it's hard on me.
I'm glad Laura loves and is good to her. That really helps to know she is very loved.

I know it has to be difficult for you but I am glad he gets to spend time with both of his parents. I just can't imagine a mother not doing everything possible to be with her child.....but Sage's mom has lots of problems, and under the circumstance it is for the best that they don't spend much time together. Sage had a lot of problems when she came to live with Laura and her dad....it has taken over two years to get her back to being a normal little girl...she is really a sweet little girl now. She had a very poor diet when she was with her mom and she had no discipline and no manners at all. It was really sad because she is a very sweet, very smart little girl and it will take many more years to work through a lot of her problems. But she is doing very well now.
Hello TheRoseGirl :)
Think of the positive...
You are blessed to have a child...I can't have any children :)
Well my son is used to it.This has been going on scents he was 3 months old.It is still hard on me to see my baby leave knowing i won't see him for five days.I am a very over protective mother.I just worry when he is gone.
Yes, it will take some time for Sage.No kid should be put through that.I'm glad she is doing very well now.
Well Trisha,i better go to bed.6:30 comes early and i'm not an early bird nor is my son.So we both will be cranky.LOL
Good night and sweet dreams.
Good night everyone!!!!!!!!!Stay warm
Hello Susan.sorry to hear that.At first i didn't think so either.I was married to my son dad for 7 years before i had him.We were going through the Big D at the time.Right when he left me is when i found out i was.
Good night everyone!!!!May God bless you all...........
Morning Sistahs !!!!
Weather man says that last night was our last really cold night for a while... we're suppose to have nights in the 50's and days in the 70's all the rest of the week... OH HAPPY DAY !!!! Now, I can really get excited about spring.
More coffee... then I have some housework to catch up on today... ugh... that just keeps getting in my way, ya know!!!
^_^
Morning Ladies
Have hot cocoa if anyone would like a cup with marshmellows..
Im running alittle behind today.. Woke up late but Max fixed the truck at 430 after he worked all night, so the kids didnt have to walk out in the cold this morning..good thing as late as I woke up they would have stayed home if we had to walk.
Good news is I tallked with my step daughters last night and their mother. The dates have been set for their visit finally we just have to get a vehcle that we can meet her half way in.. Told her we would rent one if we had to but we are hoping to find one with our taxes return.. Takes almost until May to get them back every year so that stinks but o well.. Looks like they will be here for at least 2 months.. hey already said they didnt want t o go home but we have to work on that with their mom. She was joking about it last night saying she didnt think I would wan them to stay.. I told her the can live her easil yand I would welcome them.. She informed me that they are getting her boyfriends 2 other children later this month or a permanent move so I dont know how she thinks he is goiing to deal with it all.
The girls were doing well. Said their bags are packed and they want to come now.. Is hard to tell them they cant when we know what is happening but I have to tryto stay being nice t otheir mother if we want to get anywhere.. Apparently Trina told her mom that I was her real mom and not her. Broke my heart and hers that her girls dislike her so much.. I cant imagine my kids not loving me the way they do..

Hey ladies;
BJ- When I called yesterday to reserve my room I ended up talking to the lady for about 30 minutes about life in texas and the weather..
Such a nice lady..
LOL... Yep... she's a talker, alright... I just stopped by there to take a look at a room, and see how many they might have available for that weekend... ended up talking for about an hour... I think she was going to invite me to stay for dinner, but I made an excuse that I had to be somewhere... she's a hoot. I've played poker with her hubby before... he's a really nice guy, and also a REALLY good poker player... but I don't think he's the talker she is.
Wow LK no fair..
My angels look dead and my cuttings didnt fair to well either.. Cant wait to see pictrues of that flower until mine come back... What kind is it?
Thanks for the comment as well. Things will get better for the girls and we will do all we can to convince mom they would be beter off here but thats not going to be easy.. I just want her to give us one school year to prove that the girls can do better in the right environment... Not likely she will do it but its worth a shot to see if we can get her to agree to let us try it..
Good Morning!
I crashed early last night. Needed the sleep bad.. and I should have stayed in bed! It's in the teens this morning!
Sis Kathy, are you up??? How are you sistah?? Has the house calm down some?
Thanks for the hot cocoa Donna. I love Ghiradelli cocoa. Kids know when they're loved and it's easier still to know how they want to be treated when they have already been receiving better treatment from you.
Deborah!! Such a sweet face this morning! How's the sewing coming along?
Trisha, how wonderful you get to meet anotherDGer. Rachie and you seem to hit it off well! So, it's a bunny in that foil huh? If any of you hadn't seen the bunny, it's on the valentine swap thread. Trisha, again, you have oodles of talent when it comes to sculpting.
Phyllis, if you're reading this... hope today is an easy breezy day at work for you sistah!
Cody, when it gets too unbearable, you know where to hang around. Here.. we'll 'suffer' along with you until Alex returns. The good side is, you get to rest from all that running and telling him 'no' for a while :D
Cathy, hope the shot takes its' effect and you'll be pain free.
Susan.. how are your bruises? Is Kim taking good care of you?
Maid M, sending positive thoughts here to your Kim that the 'crud' has left her. Wish your mama a happy belated birthday for me please.
Debra, we learnt to wash, wash, wash our hands often since we had to take care of his brother and now his dad. Just my resistance is much lower, and I might do a Michael Jackson to fight those airborne germs
Send that positive warm air over here BJ :( I too am so ready for spring! This cold charged air is not good for my bones and psyche!!
LK, how lucky! Post pics of any blooming flowers you may have .. I'm tired of just green and brown around here. My camellias so far have stopped blooming.
Susan, welcome!! When you can't sleep, you know where to drop in!! There's always one or two sistahs that will be in the room ;)
A big wave to the rest of the sistahs I may have missed..
Morning Jaye...
Well just dropping out for a bit.. Need to get soem papers in order and its too cold to be outside....

Donna
MORNING!!!! It is another wonderful day and I am happy, happy, happpy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I plan to do some crafting today and I have a couple places to go:) Other than that, finish the laundry and do the dishes.....
Crissy-CREEPY!!!! That would weird me out big time!!
Morning Ms. Fairy Fingers.... it's a crafting day, huh? That would make anyone happy... LOL... Yea, I know why you're happy.... it's called FREEDOM. !!!
Funny, Don and I were just talking about how I can better work the housework into my crafting/gardening/swapping/parenting/chatting schedule this year... LOL... he suggested I hire a maid... I just laughed... yea, right...
If you aren't going to hire one, you can send them over here-since my crafting/gardening/swapping/working/chatting schedule doesn't allow much room for housework-I wouldn't kick em to the curb;)
That is all I have blooming right now, and as they start to open, I will post them here. The only one with buds right now with a name is the pink insignis, I got from JanLynn, last summer. She got me hooked on them. Most of my others are NOIDS, (no names) but I don't care if they are named or not. I just love the colors and the smell is to die for! I got a few named ones from other DG'ers and as they start to grow, once I place them in the ground, I will keep you all posted as well.
I forgot to say a BIG HELLO to SusanLouise!!!!!! I read your likes and dislikes too-what I did was looked through everyone else's and looked at what they had and then added to mine...but it does help to get to know each other better and also helps with swaps. Are you going to do swaps too, or do you mainly just like the plant stuff and the chatting here on DG??
Morning...Welcome 2009 package is now on USA soil...can only hope tomorrow or Monday someone will be opening their swap...
Woohoo.. love your new moniker Betty!! So crisp and efficient! Can't wait to see what your sistah got! BTW, take care of your health..please...
BJ, tell Don somehow I can't see housework as part of our creative process!!!
Hey niece! What are you up to... i mean... what project!
LK, I had promised myself this year, no more online purchases for any plants.. looks like I've broken that already. Decided to get more camellias :D
Good Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MORNING Rose Girl !!!
Jaye... I'm going to have to get some "creative juices" flowing to figure out how to get it all in in the schedule... because I really can't decide which one I'd like to drop to accommodate the rest...
I told him I agreed to be a housewife... and didn't know that included being a house keeper too... gonna have to come up with a different angle on that, cause he didn't appreciate it much.
