Al's thread, part 3, where the heck are you?

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Are we going to have to resort to putting Al's photo on the back of a milk carton ?

So glad you're back, Victor.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Victor, Have you Dmailed Al?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have been looking into the pellet stove they have them at canadian tire for 1400 dollars
do you think that is a good price

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

16 degrees out. 70 in. Price depends on the size. And I bought mine over three years ago so I don't know what they're going for now.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

how much was your??? if you dont mind my asking
and since it is only about an area of 500 square feet then all I need is a small one right

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think around $3200, but mine was the biggest they made at the time - 68,000 BTU.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

wow that is big, the ones I am looking at are good for like 1800 square feet at 1500 dollars but I think I need something smaller than that thanks for the info I will keep looking for a smaller one

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

My neighbor has a hair dryer that I swear is 68,000 BTU's...when she turns it on, the entire block goes dim...but her hair is stick straight when she's done.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I too have a neighbor who generates 68,000 BTU when she turns it on...

That's my problem with the bluetooth earpieces. No way to tell who the crazy ones are. ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very true!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Tell me about it!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nothing wrong with talking to yourself, I win my best arguments that way. :)

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Venu, I love the bluetooth line. it is so true!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Guess you really like it Dave.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

My mom cracks up, cuz when DH is in the basement, working on soemthing, she thinks he 's on the phone, but he's not. LOL
I talk to myself and other drivers when I'm in the car.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Me too. Always talk out loud.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hmmmmmm.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Me too. I have full conversations with myself. In fact, those are the times that I know I'm really happy, when I have a conversation with myself. I make me laugh.

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

So comforting to know that others, too, have in-depth discussions with their personal "me, myself & I"...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Or, 'my echo, my shadow and me.'

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

oh yea, them too!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

I was saying some pretty good words to the frozen tree limbs when they cracked and fell all over my house all last week....does that count? They were not words I really wanted published though.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good to see you back, Sharon!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Thanks Victor, it truly is good to be back.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Yay!!! Sharon. I've been wondering how you made out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Lots of tree damage?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Glad you are ok, Sharon. What a horrible time your state has had.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Thanks, missed you all too.

Lots of tree damage, lots. I was out of electricity for a little more than 9 days, some are still out. I have an insurance adjustor coming in tomorrow to check the roof.

Sounded like a war zone, but weird though it was, there was enough ice on the roof that the limbs and branches that hit it seemed to slide right off. Of course I thought it was all coming in on top of me. So don't know if there is damage there yet or not.

Looks pretty bad, and I don't want to look at my pictures again right now, but think all the Lincoln logs in the world piled right on top of each other in your yard. That's about what it looks like. Too big for me to handle, but maybe I will be able to get help tomorrow while it is warm.

I was lucky, though...cuz I am still all together in one piece....i think.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's the main thing, Sharon. Thank God you were not hurt. Insurance will handle the house stuff. That's why we have it.
