the weather has been so messed up this winter it is awfull usually we get two or three weeks of -20 or so this year we have been in the deep freeze for six weeks and it is still going that is twice as long it has to break soon or im going to go bunkers
did that to my dog last night was talking to him and touched his nose I saw the ball of light he yelped loudly and would not come near me for the rest of the night hahahha
he s back beside me today good thing they have short memories

down here we rarely go down to freeze and if we do it is usually for a hour or two. This year we have had 10+ nights of 6 or more hours of hard freezes one right after another.

I missed a lot!
Phelps is suspended for 3 months from competing, lost a source of swimming income and, probably most of all, lost his contract with Kellogg. He accepted all and apologized when he could have fought all of this because it was based on a photo which he could have said was doctored (or that he was smoking tobacco)
Overall, I think he behaved pretty well after a stupid mistake.
If that much happened with every high school football star who got caught or had pictures on Facebook with them drinking or smoking pot, my job would be a lot easier.
the kid was 21 I dont see what the big deal is it happened over two years ago, its pot not murder lol the picture did not even look like him, I dont get why someone would even do this eccept from envy to ruin all his hard work I think it is disgusting that people have so little respect for all the hard work he put into having and now it is also him career that is affected, I guess the person that posted the picture didnt think about the fact that atletes do not make much money when they are training for years they push their bodies for a chance to win with no guarranties of the prize, contracts, or income what devotion to their craft
Young people do stupid things, & you have to watch your back not to let stupidity wreck a career especially as short a one as swimming or gymnastics. Someone can be ready to tear down sucessful people in any line of work. Other young people should be alert & see what happens when indulging in stupid behavior. Certainly there were other people at the party.
All those 'penalties' just happened - yesterday, after my post about the silence. The smoking happened three months ago, not two years ago. He really could not have fought it Dave. There were so many witnesses and he was at the school at the time. He appeared at the football game that weekend.
Again - I'm not for killing the guy! I believe in second chances - one. Famous people, especially athletes, have to realize their impact on kids. And what if this was some crappy swimmer on a college team? Would a simple apology suffice. I doubt it. I think he would be off the team. More to the point, what if it was an inner city kid caught doing it for the first time (and this was not the first time Phelps did it. Even he did not claim that.) Would he get a pass? Would the cops just tell him to go home and behave??? It's just all about equal treatment for everyone.
ah well bet he learned his lesson, he is on tv right now
The last thing I'll say on this is that just once I would love to see someone who is involved in some scandal, bad behavior, incident, etc., come clean and ask for forgiveness on his or her own! Not after being caught. Why do we never see that? When they apologize, are they truly sorry for what they did or just for getting caught?

hi everyone! finally a day that I have to do nothing but think of gardening... my vacation of sorts... ah, not that I have nothing else to do... but today all I can think about is gardening... I am surrounded by catalogues, tons of gardening magazines I have not read yet... ah... few more days I hope to start cleaning up... ah... so wonderful!!!!
about Phelps... so sad... specially because of the kids that admire him... at the same time its a good opportunity for all to see that he is not perfect... and that his still young and gulable(spelling!!) and peer pressure... I can just imagine... so much fame and money... bad choices... hope he learns...
