Lingernot/Staynot Gladomeer ۞in Iowa! (#10)
So then we visited with a roller pigeon... Lingernot kind of scared her. She is a bit timid.
Then on to check on the Muscovy ducks, but they kind of scared Lingernot...
So we finished up today with a visit to the silkie chickens, who are very soft and cuddly. Lingernot liked them, and they chatted for a good long while.
Our little guy is really getting a good education. It was very hot today, makes a person feel so sleepy. Just isn't the kind of weather we should be having the 2nd of Feb. It looked nice and cool where Lingernot is visiting, I think I would enjoy that then the dry heat. Looking forward to more adventures.
A gnome house! Smart Lingernot to find it! Do you think the sheeps were a tad rude dear Clarie? I thought they would be friendlier but then I guess that comes from sheepyness. Wonderful pic with the silkie. Ahem, er do you think perchance Lingernot will get a chance to visit my fav friends? QUACK! O sorry that just slipped out.
Good eye Lingernot, to spot that potential gnome house. Such lovely friends you're making. I think I liked the silkie chickens best. After the goats though.
Lingernot is having a wonderful time. Claire you have a roller pigeons? Those are so cool . Do people use cool anymore? I would love it there with all of the animals. What a fun place.
Yes, Makshi! Yes we have 4 roller pigeons! And i say "cool" all the time! But I'm almost 40 so I could be behind the times.

A Roller pigeon is a breed or variety of domesticated pigeon which has been bred for its ability to tumble or roll in the air.
Can it do cartwheels too?

They are very interesting pigeons. Yes, it looks like they are doing cartwheels.

Thank you makshi, I remember pigeons doing that. My brothers raised pigeons (many, many years ago) but I don't remember what kinds.
Now, evertime I see pigeons I'll look for roller blades. ROFL

Wow, a hobby farm. Guess who is an animal lover??? Lingernot has to be having the time of his little life seeing so many animals on one visit. He may feel sad to have to leave them.
He will probably get back to traveling on Monday. That way he can spend the weekend meeting the other critters. He's been resting and learning how to spin wool.
Well Claire, after reading this thread, I now know I have a really boring life!
Claire he needs to make us in cold a sweater.
I'm just catching up on Lingernot's latest adventures...whew, he's been busy! The goat pics are so funny! He looks like he's been pretty popular with all the critters.

Well Lingernot was pleased to see that the weather was nice and sunny today, and the temperatures was in the mid 40's, so we could go outside without coats on. Hooray!
First, Lingernot met Lilly the guard llama. She's a sweet girl, but very protective of her herd of goats!
Then he met Cabernet, who sniffed him all over!
And finally Rosco wanted to say Hi. Hazel was in the background - she wasn't so interested in being social.
Then he wanted a word with his friends, the chickens...
Today he talked to a buff orpington hen, who said she had left him a gift in the coop.
Before we went to the coop, we stopped to say hello to Willow, the miniature donkey, but she was busy eating, so she only said a quick hello.
Then we went to the coop, and Lingernot went adventuring into the nest boxes.
