I'm here.. not here.. trying to be here... glad to exist..
Lovely work Cindy! That's so meticulous to handle teeny weeny beads.. think my eyes will roll in the opposite directions after too long!
Phyllis, you will make those molds work... you know how your juices flow! Have some whole coconuts alongside the cake.. that will be a hoot..
LK.. don't you test your feet unnecessarily now!!! Observe the speed limit ;)
Have fun BJ. Kristi now has an incentive to do her chores, and that is Michael!! Lol!!!
Maid M., I thought I could get ALL the fabrics today, but so sorry.. I got so dizzy at the store, I managed to pick only 6 fat quarters :( So, that gives you all an idea how I feel today.
Awwww.. too much illness is going around. You fortify yourself with some of that soup too.
Kim, I'll call Tina in MB and let her know. Pretty sure she'll check in here. I enjoy talking to you last night.. or was it afternoon. You certainly sound so sweet, so upbeat.. so opposite to what I was feeling then!!
Am I reading that Susan tripped?? Are you okay??? No shell damage I hope?
Debra, I agree.. it must be the weight of all that quilting fabric on that poor table!!!!!!!!!! If you need a place for your sewing machine, you have my address;)
Niece, I'll go to that thread later. Hmmm wonder what the note is.. is it some pieces of fabric that caught your interest? Or you want me to sew something.. When it comes to you.. yep, we spoil you rotten!!!
All these talk of pot stickers are making me hungry. My favorite is to stuff them with shrimp or crabmeat and finely sliced cabbage. Don't have to stick to the norm, just like egg rolls.
Wasn't a nice shopping day.. you can say I was looking forward to going home, the minute we left the quilt store. But, Kel wanted to shop at the World Market and Pet Smart for his favorite kids. We had a bite at Logan's. Steamed veges, baked sweet potato, and 8 oz. Teriyaki sirloin. Only ate half of it, and gave the rest to Lola, who always ride with us.
Deborah and Cookie, I saw so many interesting baby fabrics!!! Oooh the possibilities. Then at the World Market, there were some baby robes made of terry cloth... with animal hoods! Almost grab them, until Kel said it will be more fun if I learnt to make them.. we'll see!!
Donna hope you have a super duper day today.
I want to see pictures of the birdbath LK. Did you make it with elephant ears, Phyllis? See, you are very resourceful.
Trisha, thank you for keeping me company last night. Could have played some games, but couldn't concentrate. My mind just want to veg...
Crissy have some bottles of Pedialyte handy. Hope you get over it soon. My cramps were bad too, but the stomach rumblings can heal a deaf person!!!
Cody, you need to be cooking rabbits, not chase after them!!!
Cookie, this is so true...
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you
have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life
will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on,
praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on
your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the
valley's end.
Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk
beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Puzzle for the day.. why do idiots multiply rapidly?
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞ 98
Crissyr, sorry you are feeling bad.I think it has to run it course. The reason why i was in the hospital was because i was dehydrated and my heart was beating fast because of the high fever. They only gave me stuff for my fever and the runs and the IV for beening dehydrated other then that it has to run its course.
Jaye LOL!!!!Rabbit YUCKKKKKK.
As Cajuns would say... "Lapin is good eatin' yeah!"
Puzzle for the day.. why do idiots multiply rapidly?
I give up, why?
Bj, you take care of my handemade birdbath, made by Phyllis! I will be there to pick it up personally. Phyllis, why won't you be at Bj's?
Ladies, have a great night,. get lots of rest!
Kathy, waiting for you to check in, and let us know how your doing?
LK
Yeah!!! Cajuns love to eat rabbit but i hate it.
Ok, I'm back. Bunch of hillbillies down there with a shotgun thinking they're cool. Looked kinda like the Beverly Hillbillies set up camp down there. Someone just needs to shoot back.
See, I don't have a fever or any of that, I don't feel sick at all, other than these lower abdominal pains. It's weird! Now I'm not even getting rid of it.
Dave said carbs would be good to "soak it up" lol! Give me an excuse to eat cake and cookies!
LOL Very good question Jaye...hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I wanted to bake a chocolate cake from scratch but Dave fell asleep on the couch. I've never made a cake from scratch before.
I was wondering if someone could answer that for me.
Crissy is not the only one dealing with idiots. On the road today, we had a close call cause an idiot decide to do a lane change with no warnings.. !!
Lol Cody.. you must try it before you decide it's YUCK!!! LOLOL!!
LOL!!!NO WAY NO HOW....THAT I WILL EAT A RABBIT.
Crissyr,if you are having bad pain you may need to go and get it check out.
Jaye, i have ate Frog legs before. You would think you was eating fried chicken.
Yah.. I got a story to tell about those frog legs.
Back home in Singapore, the frog legs were very small. Here you got those bull frogs!!
First time I ordered frog legs at a restaurant in Lafayette, I wanted a dozen! Ex told me try out 2 first, and if those weren't enough I could order more. When the waiter brought out the plate, I literally jumped!!!
They were not frog legs that I was used to, they were more like chicken drumsticks!!! Since then, I never touched any USA frog legs!
LOL!!!!!That was funny.
Okay, I won't make you eat rabbit, if you won't force frog legs on me ;)
I'M ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING .
OK DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad I made a niece laugh today!!
THAT WAS A GOOD ONE TOO.
Sorry to say it child but Yep, wabbits, them's good eatin'....
As to the idiots, they're too idiotic to know any better, or as Gran used to say, Don't have the sense God gave a Dead Goose!
Crissy, this one is from 1920
Chocolate Cake
2 eggs 1/2 Cup milk
1/2 Cup butter 2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cups flour 2 ounces grated chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla
Separate eggs, beat whites until stiff and dry. Beat yolks until thick.
Cream butter and slowly add sugar and beaten egg yolks. Stir in milk.
Combine flour and baking powder. Stir into wet ingredients. Stir in egg whites, chocolate and vanilla. Pour into buttered, floured baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and frost with your favorite frosting.
Trisha, my Mom used to make pound cake with the old time recipe, handed down by granma. A pound of butter, a pound of flour, a pound of sugar, and she'd even weigh the eggs... yep a pound too!! Except for the vanilla, salt and baking powder. It was so dense but delicious.
Jaye,i enjoyed our little talk, thanks for the laugh.I will talk to you tomorrow.Good night and bundle up and stay warm.
Good night everyone!!!!!!off to spend time with the family.
Good thing to do there Cody. See you tomorrow sweetie.
Dog show's on... love to get one of those French Bulldogs!
I'm with you Jaye, aren't they the cutest little things.......
Well I am off to Church so if anyone is around later I'll talk to you then....otherwise have a good night one and all....
I think my mom's dog had a seizure. She said her husband was outside with him and he came in the house and said, "Connie, your dog is having a problem." So she went outside and he was laying down shaking all over, his eyes were half closed and watering but not rolled back in his head, and his heart rate was sky high. I told her to take him to the vet Monday and she's fighting me about it saying, "But it might not ever happen again, if that's what happened. He's only 5 years old," and every other reason in the book to not take him. He's a very in-bread 5 year old Beagle.
Becareful Crissy. You never know about idiots. (Oh, I guess it's too late since it's late. Hope everything was OK.)
Joyce, that baby is such a doll. He is sooo cute. Oh, how I would love to have another. (NOT). I know that they grow up! lol.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Cathy, Happy Birthday to you..........
Jaye, hope you get some rest. I require a minimum of 8 hours or I'm a mess. Hubby says I sleep my life away, but I wouldn't enjoy life without the rest. Hope you feel better.
Also, Jaye, you will be receiving some scrapping supplies. I mailed them out on Friday and sent via Parcel Post. It will take about a week for it to arrive. After I sent it, I found items that I meant to include but missed them. Maybe next time I'm thinning my supply I'll send them your way. Enjoy.
Fairy, When I read that you were resigning from your job, I choked. I wouldn't be able to push the send button. I would love to quit but I have to work. Too many bills and too lazy (chicken) to look for another job. Take care.
Cindy, I love the Peacock. How darling is that. I don't have any beads laying around or I would send them your way.
Susan, Flying is best left to pilots. lol. Keep your feet on the ground. Take care and hope all is well.
There's so much more I want to add but future DIL is here wanting to look at wedding tiara's. With that, I just wanted to check in and tell everyone that I'm doing OK and wish everyone a happy and joyous weekend.
See ya.

I"M HOME...
Was so glad that Phyllis was home today... I needed a sistah hug... and she's a really good hugger.
LK... I have your birdbath because I am hoping to meet you in San Antonio the week of March 16th, and I'll bring it with me then... it's spring break, and hopefully you'll pass Cedric and Bailey off to me at the same time. I hear the Alamo is kind of nice that time of year. *toothy grin*
Was a long day on the farm... and she had me helping with the orientation... they broke up the kids in small groups of 3-4 students each and 5 volunteers each talked to them about a different subject, then the kids rotated among each of the volunteers. My subject was to compare the community they live in here with their host family, and their community back home. Their answers were very interesting... Everyone here has a car, and in their country everyone relies on public transportation. We have shopping malls, lots of entertainment places, and too many fast food restaurants. Americans eat more junk, and not enough fruit. Students have a bad attitude about school, and have little respect for the teachers. Teachers are more like friends than instructors. In their country (namely Singapore, Thailand, Germany, Austria, China, Chili, Brazil were represented today) schools are more of a serious place... not a social club. Pretty much all of them agreed on that.
Made for a very eye opening experience for me.
Mike and I are both wore out now... and I hear he has turned the big tv on, and is probably settling down in a recliner... I think I'll go join him.
Thank you all for the Birthday wishes, but I am not 60. Today is the 30th anniversary of my 30th birthday. I don't feel so old saying it that way. LOL
The Stallions were great. Second time I have seen them. Got some really great pics! Will post some soon.
Night All,
Cathy
Hey Cathy, how is your back doing? How did you get the Dr, to give you Demerol. Please take care. Sorry to hear your fudge got ruined. That is a lot of work to go down the drain!."If at first you don't" .... Ok, I know you know the rest!
Good night everyone.
Fresh coffee, and french toast in the morning.

LOL That's the way my mom put it when she turned 60! She had a problem with their usual restaurants, when she turned 55 they raised their senior discount ages to 60 years old. When she turned 60, last August, they raised the ages to 65 years old. She said, "Now I'll never be able to get a senior discount because I'll never be 65, I'm going backwards."
Everyone has been really busy here today. Crissyr , do hope you are feeling better now.
Cathy, 60 isn't so bad--just think of yourself like fine wine--improves with age!!
So Cody, no rabbit being served at your house? LOL I love frog legs but then I grew up having the "chicken thigh" kind so not so shocking! I can't remember the last time I had some either.
All the talk of food has made me hungry again. Going to be good and not eat!! No I want!!
Susan please take care, tripping is not a good thing when you are wearing a shell. Might crack it!
Jaye, don't worry about the fabric but yes, you must have felt really bad. You are more important than any fabric.
BJ, it is shocking when you start seeing the differences, isn't it? I don't believe students here could stand up under academic schedules like other countries have. Truly is sad.
I am staying as far away from Kim as possible--well not hard as she has been in bed all day. No voice now and still running a fever. Working Monday is beginning to look shaky for her. Then again she might surprise me. The schools are full of the "crud"as they call it so I am not surprised she finally came down with it.
Good night all, stay warm and be safe.
Hey Marion,we have lot of rabbits, but NO we don't cook rabbit.
Marion,i hope your Kim gets well soon.

Lisa2-you haven't been on here that long, but if had been on here from a long time ago, you would know all the reasons I have, I would rather live in a cardboard box than stay there....and that is pretty bad...

Morning All,
Hope everyone has a good day today.
An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard.
I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.
He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head;
he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the
hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep.
An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.
The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour.
This continued off and on for several weeks.
Curious I pinned a note to his collar: 'I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is
and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.'
The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar:
'He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 - he's trying to catch up on his sleep.
Can I come with him tomorrow?'
Morning everyone.
Cindy, thanks for the funny dog story. That was cute.
Stacey, how you doing today?
Kathy, love the different chicken eggs. How many new babies do you have?
