Phyllis, so sorry about Jasmine. I truly believe we'll see our furbabies in heaven again. Well, I couldn't sleep last night, must be anxieties, but each time I tried closing my eyes, I see Kumquat. When I finally managed to sleep, I dreamt he sauntered across the living room floor. I took it as a good omen, that his spirit's reassuring me he's happy.
Sis Kathy, do what Deborah suggests, tell them they're toying with their last lifeline. See whether they'd want to paddle up that creek without a boat!!!!!
Yep Niece, don't do anything that will only create unnecessary stress for you. You'll find something and in the meantime, I know you'll be playing with your crafts.
Thank you for your good thoughts. Doctor said my hemoglobin IC 3 moonth check is at 7.0. Which is GOOD!!!! It was at 9.5 :( I need to bring it down back to 6.5. But, monitoring your blood glucose and giving myself extra Humalog and Lantus mean added weight gain. So, I need to burn up calories. You know my hobbies are sedentary until spring comes.............

I just got off the phone with Mama Jaye,she told me to tell you all that she is going to take a nap.She will join us later.

It took me 1.5 hrs to make it to work, but I made it-boss isn't in yet, so of course I am a barell of nerves and want to upchuck:( sorry-TMI...

Dusty-she is heading through Cleavelenad that then to by Youngtown-hopefully she won't hit too much-I told her to call me when she gets there and pull off if she needs to!! It looks like she will just have to contend with snow til she just about gets there, then some icy conditions-tried to tell her to stay as long as she wants!!

I felt so bad-all this crap going on with me for the few short hrs I have Kim-I feel soooo bad...I hope she can forgive me:(

Yep you will, I've been there before. At first it's depressing because you know you won't have that paycheck, but then you'll feel better knowing that you won't have to put up with that c%#$ any more. Life is too short to have to deal with stuff like that. Have you thought of stay at home work like Medical billing or something like that?

Sitting here drinking my yucky coffee! I ran out of my french vanilla creamer, then used canned milk. So I ran out of that! Now I;m out of milk, too! Used powdered milk today. UGH!!
Ice and snow all over everything here. My Sweetie called, he's been out of power since yesterday, they wont get it fixed for at least 2 weeks. The bootheel of Mo. is completely out of power! I told him he could come stay with me, but the roads are to bad to get here. I'd rather have him cold, than cold and dead! Well, at least the phone still works!

Debra, my doctor gave me a box of NeilMed, to irrigate my sinuses. He has sinus issues too and believed strongly in it. So, I'll try it. It doesn't look like the contraption your DH has..nothing similar to a neti pot neither. Just a bottle with a tube and some packets of saline solution.
Well, gonna do a disappearing act. Gonna try to rest more. Cya'll later!

OH WOW!!! My bird house came in today! Its beautiful! It will never go outside. Its going on the top shelf of my livingroom plant stand with the two cute birds you sent, too. They were a suprise and are so cute. Will post pics soon.
Need a nap now. Took a couple of pain pills because my back is giving me fits today. I go in this Friday to see the neurosurgeon and the neurologist. They have to do something. I just can't stand all this constant pain.

COFFEE FILTERS

Coffee filters ..who knew! And you can buy 1,000 at the Dollar Tree for almost nothing.


1. Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave.
Coffee filters make excellent covers.



2. Clean windows and mirrors. Coffee filters are lint-free so they'll leave windows sparkling.


3. Protect China
. Separate your good dishes by putting a coffee filter between each dish.


4. Filter broken cork from wine. If you break the cork when opening a wine bo ttle, filter the wine through a coffee filter.


5. Protect a cast-iron skillet. Place a coffee filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and prevent rust.


6. Apply shoe polish. Ball up a lint-free coffee filter.


7. Recycle frying oil. After frying, strain oil through a sieve lined with a coffee filter.


8. Weigh chopped foods. Place chopped ingredients in a coffee filter on a kitchen scale.


9. Hold tacos. Coffee filters make convenient wrappers for messy foods.


10. Stop the soil from leaking out of a plant pot. Line a plant pot with a coffee filter to prevent
the soil from going through the drainage holes.


11. Prevent a Popsicle from dripping. Poke one or two holes as needed in a coffee filter.


12. Do you think we used expensive strips to wax eyebrows? Use strips of coffee filters.


13. Put a few in a plate and put your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc on them.
Soaks out all the grease.


14. Keep in the bathroom. They make great "razor nick fixers."

Everyone keeps talking about Super Bowl parties. I thought baseball season was over. I am just not much interested in sports, except the Olympics.

Phyllis so sorry about Jasmine...it is hard to lose our furbabies.

Joyce, my favorite thing at the Fishbowl is this little plate with a couple of good size pieces of smoked Pacifc Salmon, on a bed of lettuce and capers, with a small bowl of cream cheese, five or six Sesame Crackers and a half of an avocado with a side bowl of assorted olives like oil packed Calmata's (not your canned black and pimento stuffed grocery store variety). It is so good with a nice glass of Dark and Dry Apple or Pear Cider.....ummm ummm ummm!

Love the Candle.......but who doesn't love Cindy's wonderful candles!!!!!!!!

Deborah, you go girl.....if you got this far You Can Do It!!! Just make sure you TAKE ANY CIGS YA STILL HAVE AROUND AND FLUSH THEM!! You don't need them around any more!!! Hooooray!!! During the winter when the house is closed up I have an old Cast Iron Tea Kettle that keep filled with water, a spoon of whole cloves and a spoon oF cinnamon or a few cinnamon sticks.....I keep that on a low simmer. Works as a humidifier and the house always smells like cookies are baking!!

No problem Cody, I turned in early last night myself.

I, too, did a disappearing act for a nap. I had another one of my chills come on and just couldn't get warm--funny thing the house is not cold. Think it is the lack of sleep finally catching up to me. Feel great and ready to go.

Cindy, we mean it about your candles--they are absolutely delightful to smell!! Not over powering like some you can get. Just have to keep Kim away from it--beside liking lavender she likes cranberry.

Deborah, congrats on the no ciggies. That has got to be one of the hardest habits to stop. Find you some hard suckers, or small candies to suck on. It does help.

When I quit smoking I started sucking on cough drops. They also help curb appetite and there are only 15 calories in each drop. I buy Wal-Mart brand equate menthol flavor.

The bird house is from plantRN from the Christmas swap. I also got two really cute birds, suet, and some cookies my DH took.

Cathy, that is very pretty. Where are you going to place it. Outside in the garden, or keep it inside?

Oh, no. The bird house will stay inside on my brass plant stand.

Remember the dogs that were dumped, and I took in? And then fostered the mother dog till she had her puppies and they were old enough to give away? Well, I found new forever homes for the mommy and 5 of the puppies. I kept one pup. This is our little Pixie, and she is spoiled rotten.

AAAWWW she is cute!! Perfect lapdog ^_^

What a really cute birdhouse, Cathy... I'd keep it inside too... too pretty to go outdoors.

Well, Jaye... we'll see how much Mike thinks about having a thoughtful host mom after dinner... I made chili ... he might not like me anymore after that... He's told me several times that he doesn't like spicy food, and therefore he wouldn't like chili... I told him that all chili isn't hot with peppers... I don't think he believed me... so, we'll see what he thinks after dinner.
I have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on ready if he can't eat it.

I LOVE my "Cindy Candles".... I bought some to use for gifts, then got stingy and didn't give them to anyone... so... they're mine, ALL mine.
