It is that time of year to give thought to new feeders to attract new birds, or maybe replace a worn one. I noticed in the stores today they seem to have restocked their suppiles in anticapation of spring!
I hadn't really intended to buy a feeder today. But I came across the Squirrle Buster Mini while shopping, so I just couldn't resist it. Hope DH doesn't mind... LOL

Show Us Your Birdfeeders Vol. 11
Yay Nanny!
Luckily I don't have to worry about squirrels eating the bird feed. They haven't found my location yet. English sparrows are a worse problem by far. Can't get rid of them or deter them. Donna
A couple of days ago FedEx dropped off a two packages...Our dog "alerted" me with his explosive barking, actually he startled the begeebers outta me.
I assumed it was shoes we ordered for a Tai-Chi class and was happy to think we would have them before our first lesson.
I was totally surprised when the FedEx guy hauled out a one big box and one smaller box. My husband had secretly ordered a squirrel-proof birdfeeder pole, I thought ohhh my gosh, how sweet.
Still thinking the small box was our shoes, I brought it in the house and opened it, only to find another box inside labeled; "Cool Cat Feeder".
I thought Ohhh my gosh nooo, I hope it's not one of those "cat with an open mouth bird feeder", how am I going to act like I love one of those goofy things. I felt like an ungrateful snit even thinking like that way, but as crappy as it is, that's what I thought.
I despise hokey garden art... sorry to all you folks that love them, but that's just me.
With dread I opened the "Cool Cat" box to find my bestest obsession, a handcrafted Green Man bird feeder. There was my beloved Green Knight with his mouth open and his wicked tongue sticking out, in a split second the inside of my nose tingled and my eyes burned, big tears rolled down my cheeks and I hugged it.
Dove
Here is the new Green Man feeder.
aww, well I guess DH knows you well!
He's a good man *S*
Congratulations dovey! That was so nice of him!
ooops!!!!!!wrong thread.
ruh oh...the dreaded CRS strikes again...Watch Out Folks...It is known to be CONTAGIOUS!!!!!! LOL
LOL
ha!
The Crows have finally gotten started on their breakfast. The Blue Jays intimidate them, so they had to wait forever come down out of the trees. I had gone out at 6 am to clear off the feeders and an area on the ground for them. The Blue Jays beat them to the ground and stayed there until they were full, i guess. The 3 Crows were a lot more paitent than I thought they would/should be...They are so much bigger than the Jays and there are only 3 of each kind.
I've been told I have CRS, but I can't remember what that is.
LOL....Adel..you are too funny!! If it makes you feel any better I have the same disease!!
OMG Adel!! :0)
OK, I really have no idea what CRS is. Can someone fill me in?
And anyone else get unexpected guests at the feeders? I saw the cottontail rabbit look for food where I have put some seed on the ground for the ground birds, and then it went over to the bird feeder area. Then last night a deer was at the feeders. I expect voles/mice, squirrels, etc, but not deer and rabbits! Perhaps any food is good food in winter?
Take your pick . . .

Donna
Lovely pix Pelle, how do you get such a nice shot.
I find, no matter how vewy, vewy Elmer Fuddish quite I am, every time I get close enough and raise my camera the fly away.
Okay my turn for the CRS,lol. Thought we were in another thread. :-)
That's too funny about the Chickadee... it reminds me of a cat and how they ignore you.
So a reaaaallly good lens, a tripod, and patience, one outta three, I've got a ways to go *S*
That is a cool shot Pelle, it is so clear and sharp!
P.S. What is CRS? LOL!
LOL, Thanks Rose. I was answering the question in the right thread but for some reason thought dovey was referring to my Junco pics in the other thread.
Do I get partial credit? :-)))
