Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Got Cindy's goodie box all packed to the rim...

But here's a couple things I want to send to someone who will use them

I have a baby afghan that was started by my mom. Its granny squares in different phases of completion. Who crochets that could and would complete this and have a use for it? I do crochet, but I don't want to.

Also another granny afghan started with squares in various stages of completion. This one isn't using baby yarn.

I also have some antique crochet trims... I was with my mom when she acquired these from an estate sale of a dear friend of hers... I believe them to be real antiques.
looks like one was suppose to go around maybe a table cloth, about 3 1/2' long, and about 2 1/2" wide.
Another looks like it was suppose to go around the neck of a dress... it's about 4" wide.
Then there's 2 ecru colored (don't know if that's their original color) crochet doilies one is about 8" round, the other is about 7" round.

There may be more... I'm still rummaging through my shelves.

Havarti cheese? The absolute death of me!! Nothing better with slice apples--well any fruit I have tried so far. Ross and I used to eat it all the time--especially when we traveled. Keep cubes of it in a cooler with fruit slices. Help resist candy and stuff.

I'm looking still--what a challenge!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

BJ, I'll take the trims and doily if no one else wants them.
Maid M... that's a staple with pears too... :D

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

.....and cherries.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

GOOD... they'll be on their way to you tomorrow... Jaye.
But, you may need to wash them... I'm afraid to.

I only found 12 books so far... but I've cleared out almost a whole shelf of clutter here.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Never tried it with fresh cherries.. Kel love it melted on toast too.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks BJ, do you want an alarm clock??

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Ohhhh, hadn't thought about toast. That sounds good also. HUmmm going to the store soon --guess what I will have in the morning?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

YEP !!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

.....some crochet thread? LOL

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I've got to get me some of that cheese... never tried it... and I do love fruit and cheese...

Now, just to remember it when I go to the store...
I swear sometimes I think I have sometimers disease.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

OOOO... I have some of that too... can I send it to you Marion?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

ROFLOL don't we all?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Unless it is baby thread--I have oodles again. Always have an item I am crocheting on--can't stand to sit idle when I do watch television or a movie. At the moment have dolly throws in the works--small ones for 18" dolls. 3 guess who for.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL... hmmmm... I wonder...
Nope, it's not baby yarn... sorry.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Guess I better post here, before I loose the thread again. I could not figureout why there were none of you posting? So I went looking, and here you are.
Look at all the nice pressies being received! WOW. Nice job ladies. Love all the apple stuff. Very nice.
Cindy, love the peacock. Looks like you have been working real hard on them. Bj, did you get the alarm clock situation fixed?
I am off in about an hour, I will try to get to a computer up in Michigan, and try to keep up with you all.
Later
Linda Kay

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Linda Kay be safe. We are going to miss you for a few days. Get that computer working fast. BTW, did you get the address you wanted?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Have a safe trip and an enjoyable one, Linda Kay.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Be careful out there LK... we'll look forward to hearing from you when you return...

Didn't get another Alarm clock... but, Don looked at ours... I had it set wrong... we'll see if it goes off tomorrow morning.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, I still need the address for BarefootT. DO you have it?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

We'll pray for a safe trip for you LK!! We'll miss you..but have fun.. though it be a short trip.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I do have it but right now I can't put my finger on it. Will dmail to you ok?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Cherries....for those of us that suffer from arthritis 7 dried cherries everyday. I had been out for awhile, so went to Winco bought me pound of dried cherries. I have not been hurting as much. If you've ever seen The Doctors, Dr. Travis said cherrys or cherry juice is something EVERYBODY should drink. Now don't ask me the medical facts of why, because I have CRS!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LK, I didn't make that peacock it's the pictured in the book. I will post a pix when I finish it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, sorry, I thought you made it. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Marion, send me a d mail with the address when you find it please.
I will be careful, because I don't need any fall down accidents while up there. I will have fun seeing my family, but will be very anxious to get back here where it is nice and warm. It is supposed to be 76 for Monday and Tuesday next week!
Bye for now.
Linda

Hmm come to think of it.. whenever I drink cherry stems tea, I don't hurt that much. I drink it as a natural diuretics.. retain too much fluid on acct. of my meds.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Jaye, the cherry stem tea is it actual stems or bags???

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh are cherries a diuretic? I have been going to bathroom more than normal this past week. And twice at during the night.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Real dried stems, my sister sends them from France.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Well that's it then!! May be relieving some fluids off the joints too..

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Stacey, how'd things go at work today?

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Cindy-I want brushes the hair doesn't come out of-it seems ever set I try does that except a set I can't remember where I got them:( They are American Painter brand....I have even tried expensive ones....

BJ-oh my-what do I want...a lot of crafty stuff I use-I use almost anything-don't do beading, don't do sewing....seriously though-save some for the swap-then you can send your buddy a box of goodies!!

Raleigh, NC

Ah Hah! Made it back again - this thread fliesaway fast! read all this one, but my computer is messing up again and resolution is wrong, can't make out the photos.

It's fun to hear y'all chatting again - will look forward to getting to know Rosegirl - two houses ago, I had 44 rose bushes- still miss them.

This snow has damaged the shed roof - no telling what else as heavy huge ice sheets fall from the roof to plants below. The ice falling off the roof have rattled Hope all day long. She's on "high alert" for trouble, staying beside my chair, but barking a bunch. DH has a cold, from playing out in the snow, DD is in EXAM week. I'm proctoring one at her school tomorrow morning.

since I last posted, did take advantage of good weather and got another 29 irises in the ground. Read yet another Elizabeth George novel - she is so great. And have just about finished the bedspread afgan. will post a photo of it soon.

I never have enough safety pins - how do you have too many bj?

need to know more about these cherries - Mom has horrid time with hand pain... Jaye, any place here we could find that stem tea?
