I have sent Victor the following email. I have apologized to him, I simply don't know what else to say. If anyone has any suggestions please dmail me privately. I am so very upset Victor has left the forum over something I said. To me it seemed just a minor tiff, apparently not to Victor. Victor has always been my friend, and recently offered to proofread my website for me. I just don't understand and I'm at a loss. Thank you.

Polly it's not true that we wouldn't want you here, but it is true that we would all miss Victor.
Thanks Deb, but I would gladly stay off the forum if Victor would come back. Although I love you guys, and have always enjoyed this forum, it's been a huge part of Victors life. It's much more important to me he return. And I just don't know what more I can say to accomplish that. So I'm hoping for suggestions.

We can all try Dmailing him, asking him to please come back. I am not much of a poster but I will truely miss his knowledge of gardening, his sense of humor, his kindness at welcoming new DGers and his entertaining wit.

barb thx - i think - i had clicked unwatch becasue it was so long. i knew nothing of any of this - looks like it took a life of its own. guess the d-mail will not be read or responded too. really hope someone knows how to get in touch with him and gets him to come back.

I'm sorry - but what is that supposed to mean...I'm not understanding. Are you saying there is no posting in the NE Forum until the disagreement is resolved?
Polly, no one would ever want you to leave the forum, and I believe even Victor will eventually understand that your reaction was simply a misunderstanding that you explained and apologized for. There is nothing more you can do than that. We all love Victor and this forum would never be the same without him, but I guess we can only give him some time and distance. I, too, have emailed him and hope that he reconsiders. Like the rest of you, I have been physically sickened by his feeling he needed to leave the forum. I have not heard back from him. I agree that our contacting him and asking him to return is the way to go. It is also possible that more is going on in his world than this in order for him to be so upset. Keeping him in our thoughts and prayers may help too. Do not leave the forum, Polly, please. You are also loved!

I totally agree with Louise and also emailed him yesterday. Only he can do what is best for him at this time. Perhaps in the future he will return, until then all we can do really is wish him well.
I too agree , but in Victor's defense I know he never meant to dismiss either pirl or polly. If anything he was their Knight in shinning hour and came multiple times to the rescue when everyone else backed quietly away. I can understand why he is upset, However, in pirl and polly's defense I can also see where they might of felt like it was being brushed aside as non important. Everyone involved was wearing their 'sensitive feet' that day and toes were stepped on. The sad part is the culprit of all this evil is probably reveling in the crumbling of friendships. I've said my peace, now i'll go lick my wounds, eat my soup and wipe my runny nose.

yuppers hahahahahha I purchased it and when it arrived it had started growing to late to plant outside so I was informed to pot it well what they forgot to tell me was to pot it and put it in the garage to keep cold till the spring so I did as I was told and planted it lol and put it on the window sill it was doing great so no problem till it bloomed one saturday morning, we had to go out so when we came back it smelled like someone had died in the house like days before the smell when so bad we had to open all the windows it was december and cold hahahahha it is now found a nice spot out in the garden away from my door and window

Has anyone been able to find an address? even his real name and personal data isnt available that I could see when I wanted to send him a painting of the frozen lilypads.
He has kept it that way for a reason, unless some of his old friends with stronger ties has established a bond with him and they are in tough.I dont know.
He has always been open and shared anything he knew about gardening,cameras ,water features,etc, with the forum.
He is in controle of his most private life that way.
He will return if he wants ,and in his own good time.
I am sad about all of this as everyone is.
I know his real full name, address and cell # but he needs to come back on his own time. Lots of us have d-mailed and e-mailed him, he's very, very upset.....time is whats needed now.

We have had stupid problems before but no one disappeared. Certainly not Victor.
Feeligs get hurt. Sometimes unintentionally but sometimes not. It causes a ripple which leads to a hundred Dmails. Battle lines get formed and the hurts multiply.
