Arghh...only got one in two days...well, guess it will be one of those close call games for me....I need yall to pray for my son, he is 18 knows everything and has just left the nest to move to Kentucky with his girlfriend....I am so sad and yet happy and yet....miserable....don't they call that the "Empty Nest syndrome"?... I miss him, yet am grateful to have some peace and quiet...no more heavy metal booming drums and guitars....he plays them both till my nerves are frazzled..lol take care and God bless!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Stovall--It will take a bit--but you will fill the empty spaces with good things!

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

Laura it will take a bit-- you will NEVER cease to worry, but you will LOVE it and about the time you figure it is really great-- if he acts like mine did-- he'll move back home;)

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Just think after about three months your ears will stop ringing and by then you will be a little use to him being gone or he will be back. :)

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Laura,
It will be fine... Give yourself some time and it will ease... My son left 6 months ago now and when I get the quiet it is great but I am now telling them to stay home more so I can have some piece... I found flowers to help me....
Hugs,
Susan

Nahunta, GA

Thanks all! I love the peace and quiet and waking up without seeing him sprawled on my couch till noon or so....but then the guilt comes. We kinda argued a bit before he left, and I had him enrolled in college..then he pops up with this moving in with his girlfriend business, so I got mad one day and went an bought his ticket and shipped him out the next day. I figured the money would come back to me in 2 weeks of not having to feed him and supply power to his little "house" next door....I guess all moms feel what I am at one point. I have made it clear, if it does not work out with his girlfriend he is gonna go live with his eldest step brother, as I have had enough. I do worry...but hey he is a big boy now so it is time to let go and let God. I have found my plants much more enjoyable and have gotten twice the work done now that I have peace and quiet......Thanks again....

Gran...I have on my bingo hat and am trying to send you some telepathic messages.....ok....be real still....concentrate....ok, now you know what I need...lol...yall take care!!

Snow storm Wednesday--this is the longest, coldest winter I can remember since 1995. I'm supposed to work Wed., but I'm NOT driving 120 mi. in a snowstorm for test candidates who probably won't show up! Only 1 out of 4 showed up today, have only 1 scheduled for Thursday, and I have no roster for Friday at this point, so more than likely, Friday will be canceled. I think I have a headache--duh! Anyone got any polkadotty blooms?

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7a)

We are predicted to get 6-8 in. of snow before tomorrow morning, so we may get 3-4!!! I'm a no bloomer!! But I'm 40 and have 2 step kids, girl, 21 and boy 18. And I'm the baby of 4, my sisters and bro are 18. 16 and 14 years older than me, by the time I was old enough to get into there stuff they were gone!! But, I was an aunt at 5, then she made me a great aunt at 25!!! I have the best of worlds with my siblings and their kids.
