(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

BJ-I was wondering too know if you needed to worry about your GD-who is GORGEOUS BTW!!! Bet the boys are ga ga over her!!! DH got guitar hero for Xmas from my mom (yes 35 and still wants games) and he plays it ALL THE TIME-I am about ready to throw the darn thing out!!LOL

Joyce-there may be a few tears, but this is a party, so I hope you are ready for the skinny dipping and shot games;)

Donna-I had a check ready and kept meaning to send it, then remembered that you need cash...so I am sending cash out for ink tomorrow in a card:)

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Oh Joyce I love peanut brittle, just the teeth dont. I have yet to learn to eat candy with the new teeth!!!!!!!!!! I loved everything in the box. Got one pot holder done 7 more to go and still not happy with the outcome, by the time I get them all done I might have it perfected.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I suck on stuff like that to make it last longer-no teeth issue, just like to savor:) Because my 1 front tooth is fake though it has been about 25 years since I have been able to bit into an apple.....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I have a "fake" front tooth too! still have the roots of the original but at the gumline it's a huge cap! Going to have it redone Feb 2nd, can't wait!

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Joyce...aka Cookie.. is always ready for shot games... LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Kim, how was your trip? Looks like you had a great time. Now how did we kow you would find some real flamingos in Mexico! We will be waiting for your trip deatil, and pictures.

Ladies, you all need to be careful with peanutbutter. It has been re-called again. Mostly the comercial peanut butter, but some of the Keebler and Austin brand crackers for sure. Another round of Salmanella has been going around, and it is making a lot of people sick. It has killed 4 so far.

LK

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cody, went to bed before you posted the beautiful pictures of your roses. They are so pretty, I really love the really dark one--forgot the name.

BJ, Wow! You have one very attractive granddaughter and yes, they look like they are having fun. You have a Wii? Kim wanted on for Christmas but I am still trying to locate one for her. They are really in high demand and not very many available at the moment. Best Buy advertised 12 in stock today but by the time I got dressed and drove across town--poof! Gone!

Lisa, the south where I am isn't really nice today. It is raining and not a very pretty day--unless you are a duck maybe.

May I supervise the shots game? Jaye and I will be the judges on that one if you don't mind. Tears, yeap, see them coming already. Hugs--one big continuous one going one. BJ, are you sure Don knows what he is getting into? LOL

Well need to go start my pot of stew. Chat later.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hiya Sistahs!!

What Kim did is illegal!!! How dare she shows herself in shorts and next to live flamingos!!
Welcome baaaaaaaaaaack Kim!!!!!!!! ((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) We've missed you!!! Will be right here till you return to tell us all about your trip. Susan have sure missed you.. she's been pacing the floor worried sick about you!

Where are the birdies Tina-Tia? Punk Boy will be the next Johnny Depp for sure! I LOVE cashew brittles. Next time you want to unload some, Joyce, you got my addy. (Got plenty of insulin ready for that :D)

Exploding ants!! Too funny!!! Don't know cream of wheat is fatal.
Me too got lots of ant hills around here, especially after a rain, Crissy. Will try that cream of wheat trick.

Lisa, how are you feeling today? I'm pretty sure you're ready to have your own place.

Cathy, PlantRN doesn't hang around here. Maybe you send her a snail mail? Hope nothing's wrong with her.

The only Christmas ornaments I had to put away, were only the two that Betty had made for me :D Debra, glad to see you're still keeping your sanity, remembering to bring down the tree!

Stacey, I was a bra freak until I have to use the front closure types. Those now come in plain black or white. No frills :(

Wow Cody!! You do love roses. I can imagine your greenhouse is perfumed by their scent. Do you have any old fashioned damask rose? Would sure love a cutting, if you could.

Trisha, where do you find the energy to run around like that? You'd do anything for your family..you're just amazing!

Michael is cute BJ, and your grandaughter is a beauty. You'd soon pick up German and be going around the house saying "ja" and "nein". By the time we get there.. we'll be listening to you speaking with a Texan/Austrian accent.. that will be a hoot.

LK, since the recall, I don't touch any peanut butter. That's my treat that I allow myself a tbsp. when I crave some sweets.
Guess I have to make my own peanut butter now.

Maid M. You're right about the WII. We were lucky to get one for Kel's ex-wife's daughter. When he went into Best Buy, there was one reserved WII that wasn't picked up. All we had to do was wait for another 3 hours. Maid M... Costa Rica for Kim?? Wow!!!!! Tell her "Congrats" please, and she must be brilliant to earn that scholarship. Will you be accompanying her, Maid M? That's one beautiful country I'd love to see too.
And yes, I'll gladly assist you in the judging too!

Kel made some vege stew.. time to chow down!

Stay warm my sistahs and nieces.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Hey hey I made it back before night time.. whoo hooo

Kim so glad to see you arrived home safely.. You look lik eyou were having a great time..

BJ it looks like your new housemate is settling in quite well and having a great time.

LK thanks for the heads up on the peanut butter. I didnt get any yet and I guess I will have to wait it out now...Thats bad for us we LOVE Peanutbutter..

Cody your roses are very pretty. I have 4 but they are all just leaves right now..

Stacey no problem. I havent worked on anything since my last ones that I posted but havent forgotten them either.. They are still setting ready and waiting for my next creative outburst.. lol

Marion did you all cool down over there? I was wandering how the other floridians faired our blast of cold...
O yes and do tell your daughter conrats! What a wonderful accomplishment.. My cousin just left from ohio to mexico setting up a church mission and is supposed to be gone a few years.. The entire family is so proud especially her dad ( m favorite uncle)...

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Been out trying to find a battery for mom's phone that is in her work room...

Thought I would pop in for a few minutes, need to get straightened up a bit......have a customer coming to pick up a bike this afternoon and have crafts sll over the LR/DR.....leather stuff on one table, santa stuff on another, 7 item project all over the dining table......shipping boxes ready to post........I will clear a path to the tea pot and one to bathroom...and they will just have to deal with it......they need to be out on the bike and not in my house anyhow!

Jaye, Vege Stew sounds good...I am going to put on a pot of split pea soup in the crock pot and throw some bread in the breadmaker then by the time Laura and I get back from sitting with Orion dinner will be ready......sis in law brought over a bottle of Merlot yesterday and I think there is enough left for dinner tonight....if not, may just have to pick up another.

Waving to all, will catch up later, if I don't get busy they will be here before I am ready for them.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Donna, yes we did cool down quite a bit. When I arrived back in Tally Friday about 5:30ish the temperature was already at 38 degrees. Warmer today but with rain, just the kind that makes you feel very cold all the way through. I have some damage to some of my plants but so far I can't complain. I was really worried about my huge Kimberly Fern that my Kim forgot to cover. So far tho, it looks okay. Time will tell.

Thanks for all the congrats for Kim--she still hasn't come down to earth. The plan is for me to join her at the end of the term accompanied by her brother and the oldest granddaughter. That too will have to be seen whether or not it works out.

I noticed Flamingo Kim and the live flamingos. What a picture.

Trisha, I always say if people are coming to see my house instead of me, they are in big trouble. Sewing/crafts takes precedence over everything. Well, except my GD's. how is Laura coming along with the house search?

Jaye, vege stew sounds very good. I did start with a small pot roast I had in the freezer but will load it down with veggies. Glad I had planned this for tonight as it is just what is needed in the weather. Usually rain doesn't bother me all that much but this is a dreary rain today. Anyone understand that?

Pangburn, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh well, the Christmas exchange was fun anyway. Will have to have DH make me a bird house or two. It was just strange that I haven't heard from her.
Cathy

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cathy, PlantRn works some really odd hours so it could be she is in one of those schedules right now. I vaguely remember her commenting a while back about the days on and off.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Tinky, check out this site!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Stacey, do you see how those are made? So simple...I must try it......

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you all... Kristi is a pretty young lady... but quite a handful, to say the least. She was diagnosed with ADHD when she was younger, and her mom had her convinced that she had to take the meds for the rest of her life... My son and DIL have now taken her completely off the meds, and she's learning to handle her emotions, anxieties, and thought processes in a more appropriate manner. If she were a girly girl, she'd be such a beauty queen... as it stands, she's more of a drama queen. She's into things like basketball, powerlifting, vollyball, and track. A real tomboy.

WELCOME HOME KIM!!!! Yep, we want details from your trip.

The Wii belongs to Kristi... it's what Don and I gave her for Christmas last year, and she just brought it over for her and Mike to have something to do... Don and I really don't have stuff for kids here... but I guess we better start thinking about getting things like that.
But, I showed Mike the piles of DVD movies behind the cabinet doors... and they went through them to find the ones they want to watch... so, they're now watching the 2nd one in the pile. Mike doesn't get to watch very many movies in English ... so he's really enjoying them.

Mike waited till Don was here today to present us with some treats his mom sent us from Vienna. LOTS of some of the best Chocolate ever made... of course... and a book of all the sights to see in Historic Vienna... and a tote back with designs on the front and back by the famous Vienna artist Gustav Klimt... what a sweet thing of his mom to do for us...

AWWW How sweet!! So how are you doing, BJ? No more quite evenings when Don is out of town working, are you gonna miss that? Ive been cleaning YUK. Deep cleaned my bathroom from ceiling to floor, every shelf door frame, window sill etc.. and took the Angel Trumpet out and gave it a trim and put it in the exercise/sitting room. Now I'm cleaning Mater bedroom and doing laundry...sure glad the bath tub is clean gonna be using it for sure .................^_^

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

OOO how cute I love the fairy houses! Those simply must go in my try it one day file..lol

My plants that I managed to get under cover did really well but my poor angels look like wet lettuce.. One had buds on it before the freeze.. Kills e to see them look the way they do.. Spent the day cleaning up and puppy proofing well kinda..lol I think I better move the dvd's up higher after oing more reading.. Apparently as puppies my little one is a devil..LOL

Trisha no worries.. If you were crafting when they showed up tehy would undertsand so what s the difference if its something you are working on.. I have one pile or clay, one pile for my 7 item swap, my drawing supplies in another and a bin full of stuff under the itchen table.. People come over and they know I love to craft and draw.. No biggie..

BJ what a nice surprise.. It sounds like Mike is settled.. I love watching DVD's so I can understand his excitement let alone that he gets to watch them in english.

Well I gotta head of to check in on Grandma so I will try to check in later this evening..

Huggs

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yay! A woman who likes a real bar and a real football game! I knew some of you would be around here somewhere lol! How many of you ladies like this type of entertainment, and who likes nascar and nhra?

I'm going to try that Cream of Wheat trick too, I have it written down.

I've been making labels for the plants in the bed, ya'll haven't seen what I have, have you?

This is the front of my house, I'm standing in the driveway which is at the East end of my property. My property goes to the fence and pompous grass, the Magnolia is mine. I'm building a bed against the fence, it just needs something. This is the first bed I have ever built.

Crissy, you have a wonderful yard. and sooo much room for flowers!!! Keep us posted, with what you plant this year.

LK

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

How thoughtful of Michael's mama, BJ. you'll love those Suchards. Mike will certainly pick up American English real fast just watching tv too. As for slangs.. he'll be popular when he gets home talking 'redneck'!! Now you and Don can sure look forward to a holiday in historical Vienna. You both got 'family' there!!
Hi Cindy. Though we're forced indoors, not feeling up to cleaning. So I just veg.. read.. and sigh over more fabrics online!
Donna, you make me feel so good saying crafters shouldn't worry about how their homes look. Now I'll have to make a sign to put outside " Crafter's Home. Clutter is Necessary for Masterpieces."

Crissy... what does this tells you? "GEAUX TIGERS"

This is where I am building the bed. I planted a bunch of stuff I got from a fall RU and some bulbs I bought from a co-workers child.

Here's my backyard standing at the top of the property line. Not a lot I can do here until we get some trees removed.

Oh LSU LOL! About 5 years ago when I still lived in CA I met these two dudes from Baton Rouge there on business, they were so cool, one of them hated CA, just as I did and I was born and raised there lol, so he went back home, the other met a girl, got married, and moved there. In fact we got married a month apart and he made his final move to Modesto, CA and I moved back here with Dave at about the same time. And our birthdays were on the same day!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh my do you ever have a lovely yard to work with crissyr!!! Sun places--I envy you!! Keep us updated with pictures as you progress.

Used to watch football all the time and loved it but that is one of the things I don't do much now since I lost my hubby. Sort of a thing we did together. Still enjoy football just not to the extent I did before.

BJ, oh those chocolates are to die for. When we were in Austria I really loaded up on them. Nothing quite like them. I bet Michael is having a ball with all the DVD's--not to mention your granddaughter being there.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

NASCAR fan here!!! ~~~~~~~Jimmie Johnson fan ^_^ 28 days until Daytona!!!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Ah, Cindy, dear sweet sistah, when you finish deep cleaning will you come do mine?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL, i would if I could ya know but you live too far away, lol. Next is the kitchen then it's going to get painted but that is a few weeks from now.....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Michael is definitely going to have a southern drawl when he goes home. I'm glad he's having a good time.

You can come do mine too Cindy lol I'll give you room and board and pay for your gas and food lol!

I want to put beds under the trees in the front but not quite sure what I want to do yet. I have to be careful cause it messes up Dave's mowing pattern and we don't want to do that. He had a fit over the storm shelter, but then again I did too because I was sick with the stomach flu when they came to put it in and they put it in the wrong spot!

Thumbnail by crissyr
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Storm shelter? Tell us more about it Crissy. We might have to do one here, for the first time, we had bad tornado warnings. Luckily we escaped that.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Oh I've done that drive 5 times, and I'm hoping I don't ever have to make it again, at least not on I40, I'd take I80 next time LOL!

Shoot, I'm looking for a picture of my driveway cause I want to line that too but I can't find one. I know I have several!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Everyone around here laughed at me, but we had 3 tornadoes go directly over the house last April, I think, we had lots of tornadoes every week for about 3 months straight and I said I will never sleep all night in an unsafe laundry room again. We had them training over us and had 3 warnings in 3 hours time, one hit just 3 miles east of here, every day I have to drive through the hit area to get to work. I got a fiberglass shelter, it's extremely hard finding someone who does cement around here for some reason, then they want to sell you a $16,000 bomb shelter lol! Here's a picture of it before it went in the ground.

Thumbnail by crissyr
Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Here's the inside. It holds 12 people. When Ike came over we had to go down into it, my next door neighbors joined us, well, she did anyway, the two guys stood on the back porch watching for it LOL like they could see it coming at us from a distance, we have no view down here lol!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL I forgot the picture

Thumbnail by crissyr
(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

What if somthing lands on the door how are you going to get out?
