Tante Jaye-ahhh-a list-I have several Nene, the one I am currently coveting and have been hinting at DH for is Dark Skies...And I have 3 Kitchen Fairies-Cherry Pie, Cotton Candy, & Roasting Chestnuts....as for outside fairies I have the Leaf one Betty gave me as part of my Cute Critter and the one I just got from Auntie M for the Xmas fairy swap and I think that is all other than some misc ones from like Joann's and stuff

WOW... so much talk about the Mem WE Party... YIPPIE... yep, the more the merrier... all sistahs are welcome... but not the Dallas Cheerleaders... nope.
If anyone is interested .... you'll fly into the DFW aka Dallas Fort Worth Airport... and if you want Motel info for the motel close to me... just dmail me for the info... I've already got 8 rooms set aside in my name... but, they'll be letting them go to anyone if they're not booked soon. It's a BIG weekend on the lake, so book early.

Well... MIKE is a truly extraordinary boy... he understands everything I say... and has only asked the English word for a few things... very polite... very mannerly... and very intelligent. He and Kristi have really hit it off... and spent most of the afternoon playing Guitar Hero on the Wii... and sitting side by side with their laptops on their knees, looking at each other's My Space... Now, they're playing chess... but, I'm wore out, and I know Mike is... so we're going to end this day soon... Kristi will just have to deal with that.

Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm alive and well... and very happy with our decision to host this young man... he's a doll.

Well went to wal mart and it was crazy as this one always is... I came home cooked and then have been playing with plants all day... I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel....LOL I have put allot aside for our dear Kim to take home with her...
I am now sitting down with a glass of nice whiskey next to me... Thank you Jaye for the shot glass.. The turtles are really swimming now...LOL Just to clarify the turtles are swimming not me... ^_^

Jaye, my second son Dave came over today and saw the turtle pillow you sent and he wanted to know where I got it and I told him YOU.. He then said to me... Mom this is the softest pillow I have ever felt, can I have this??? Told him to take a hike that he can rub the ribbon on his blanket all he wants at his age but this pillow is MINE...LOL Mind you he is 28 and since he was tiny he always starts at one end of a blanket that has silk borders on it and goes to the end of it... Even as an adult he does this...LOL BUT no one gets my pillow...He also loved the clock and said it was cool that it did not have just box turtles like we have a ton of here and that they were sea turtles.... I told you the clock was beautiful...

I live on a lake... I wouldn't bring the ATV... we don't live on any acreage. Just about an acre on lake front property.

So, now... LK... I just can't be taking off all the time to bail you out of jail... so, better take that lead out of your foot... both feet, at that.

Now, I'm going to try to get these two kids to go to bed now... cause I'm a pretty whooped Nana tonight.

Judy, last time I checked yeap you have to fly in a plane--well you could sprout some wings I guess. Hey these lovely little tablets I take when I fly leave you with no worries, no pain, no problems. Actually I only have them for anxiety attacks which though not as bad as they were, still pop up. Cathy, you don't fly either? Boy the roads are going to be full that weekend. Come from the north, south, east and west!!

Debra, I have my tree out but still packing my decorations. Decided to go through and dispose of some I don't use anymore and repack. Amazing how much space and how little I have to store now. Needed to be done years ago.

Well dear sistahs, I have to brag for just a minute as I am so proud of my daughter. She just received word this afternoon she has been awarded a scholarship to study advanced Spanish in Costa Rica this summer. Apparently there were only 2 granted this year and she managed to get one. Now I have to start another jar for Costa Rica. Anyone interested in going say in July? Need some company here. Insert huge head and and even bigger smile from this Mom. I know her Dad is smiling down at her too!!!

Well it is getting late so I might find some quilting books to read and call it a day.

Took SIL out to locate a house, then let him keep my car rather than having to take him to work at 4, pick him up at 11, and take him back to work in the morning…..I took moms car and dropped DH at work, Picked up head tube plates from the jewelers for a couple of our bikes and decided I had time to run up to JoAnn’s for a little before we needed to leave for moms MRI. Go in and get my number at the cutting counter, only 10 ahead of me, find the fabric I want and go get in line….then the phone rings….it is mom, they called and want her to come in for her MRI NOW….2 hours early!!! I sputtered all the way home….as if JoAnn’s isn’t enough of PITA to deal with…..Why do they make you get an appointment?!?!? I always thought it was so you could PLAN for other things you need to do before or after….not so you can drop everything and come in at a different time than your appointment!! Needless to say did not get to get anything at JoAnn’s.

My sis in law is over from the other side of the mountains…..didn’t make it for Christmas….that is wine country and included in the Christmas basket is a beautiful bottle of Merlot……mom bought Pizza for dinner tonight…guess what I am going to have with mine?!? And if DH doesn’t show up home soon, he isn’t getting any!!!!……or any of the chocolate covered dried cherries for dessert….they are yuuuuuuuuummmyyyyy!!

Still an inversion so no fire tonight, again….they say the rain is coming back soon….just our Normal rain….so that should clear the air and get us back to nice cozy fires!! Guess I will call it a night, take a nice glass of wine and climb under my nice warm electric lap robe……..Night everyone…..

Morning all!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG been so so busy around here. Got a package in the mail and Punk boy wanted his picture taken with the pretty little birdies. Thank you so much Joyce, yes I wish you could have delivered it in person there would have been some bear huggin going on. Mom stole the peanut brittle, which is ok I cant eat it and PB does not like nuts. The chex mix is yummy. I am going to wear my t-shirt today to moms.

I will get the rest set up today and post a picture.

I am having issues with some potholders I am having to make. I have riped the binding out 3 times already. And I wanted to have one of the baby quilts started so I can show my daughter but nope, Punk boy thinks he is 1st and for most.

Here is another pic he wanted me to read him the book. I started and he was like that is not a book for me. Neat little tricks in there with stuff one would have laying around the house. One to get rid of ant is pour a little bit of cream of wheat in their hole and they each one will eat it and then drink water and POOF. That is one I will use, I am having horrible issues with ants.

Been busy with grandma.. We finally have convinced her that she needs to be taken care of alittle better than she has.. She is selling her car so she can attempt to get into an assisted living home. We also went through her insurance and she will be seen 3 times a week by a physical therapist in her current apartment to try to help her re-build her strength and she is actually using her walker (finally). So thing are getting better..

On the home front Max finally has a day off and doesnt have to be back in until Monday night and he was off last night!
H got home right after the kids left to go stay with a friend yesterday afternoon and we spent the day just running around window shopping and pricing items for the puppy. Then we spent the evening relaxing watching movies curled up on the couch together.. Nice to take a break even if it is only for one night...lol

Bj, looks like they are having a great time. Tell him we said howdy!
Punk boy looks like he is enjoying that book. Give him hugs from all his grandmas. Sorry to hear your having problems with the potholder bindings.

BJ give the kid some Clearasil, I still have to use it and it works. Where is he from again?

Tia my house was built on a huge Fire Ant nest, we have ants everywhere out here and we can't control them all, just too many. What I do is pour some bleach into the nest if it gets too close to the house, we don't usually mess with them if they're out in the middle of the yard or further out, we just mow over them. I don't know if it kills that queen or if she just moves but it keeps them away.

I wanted to say what a cute picture of Punk Boy!! He's way to cute!

Mike is from Austria. Long way from home. But Bj and Don will do a great job keeping him busy.

Tina, glad it arrived and you liked it. The brittle is cashew brittle, sorry you don't like it, but I bet your Mom will! I had a little car to send to punk boy, but it didn't make it in the box. :o( Anyway...welcome 2009 Sistah! I hope you're planning on being at BJs and we can exchange our bear hugs there. When I saw that shirt I thought TINA absolutely HAS to have that! Hope it fits.

I slept in till 9:3 today. I can't tell you the last time that happened. It is in the 20s so not nearly as cold as it has been here. Thank you God! I filled the feeders yesterday and they are already half empty. Those little guys are HUNGRY! I bet there are at least 30 out there, maybe a lot more than that. They are mostly finch with the occasional chicadee, tufted titmouse, woodpecker and lots of doves. I love to watch them.

I'm so looking forward to the trip to BJs house (on Memorial Day weekend for whoever that was that asked) can't wait to meet you all. Last year I was lucky enough to get to go to Sis Kathy's in Alabama and meet Kathy, Deborah, BJ and Audrey. What a fun weekend that was! Lots of laughs and hugs and a few tears too! That is why I want to go to BJs so bad. We will have a wonderful gabfest!
