LK, I heard the same thing on the news today. Liquidating. 30,000 employees without jobs. That's a lot of employees!

That will not help the economy, but the sales I bet will be great!

Afternoon Jaye…..hope all are well and warm back there. Will let you know as soon as the package arrives, can’t imagine it would be anything I would want to not keep for my ver own self!!!
Mom’s leg gave out on her last night…she was in pain all night and didn’t call me until after nine this morning! She didn’t want to bother me!!!! The only reason she did call is she got a doctors appt. and needed me to drive…..she is such a rock head!!!! At any rate, she is scheduled for an MRI on her knee at six tomorrow night…….

Still looking on the house situation….the one in their neighborhood rented out to the person in line ahead of them…..they decided the two bedroom over here really would not work, so they are still looking…

I think we have something lined up for someone to look at their car that will cost them very little so wish us luck in that department…..I know Sean would really like to have his car back!

yes Tante-6;) all varying shapes and sizes-perfect for all the sewing needs I think:)

I used to get my bras from Wally world, but found they were not too comfy and DID NOT last long-only about a month per bra-that is with rotating 4!! So I switched to Lane Bryant after trying one and have been faithful ever since-the most comfy bras, DH loves the cleavage and I get them at one of their semi annual sales (one right after Xmas and one in June) and pay about $15-17 each and only8 have to go to one sale a year!! I also LOVE their undies!!

I Have a beautiful large bag to put all my spin class stuff in, and another beautiful bag to put all my stuff stuff in!!!!! A great note pad to help with CRS......New Chopsticks, my old ones are in really bad shape....and a fantastic wallet with a calculator which I am always needing!!!! Bill says good, now throw away all my old ones!!!!!
Everything is fantastic and I love the bags soooo much and they are in my favorite color combinations too!

The bags are fantastic! And Sage will love the chocolate kisses.....she may have to share...............

Now Jaye I want you to know that most of the time I stay out of my shell... We are having problems with our server. One min we are on then off for a few hours... They say it is from the cold weather.. Well duh it does get cold in the winter...LOL
Jaye sent me my present for our New Year... My person could not send so Jaye did which was very nice of her... Thank you again... You know I did not expect you to do that but I am thankful you did.... In my time on Dave's in swaps I have done really great but I have also had 2 times where I have gotten nothing... That does not stop me from still swapping as I love to share and see if the people like what I send....
I know Kim is having a wonderful time... She is that type of person....
Ok going to make sure I can post this and if I don't see you again tonight I hope for tomorrow... Love to all my sistah's..

Wow what a day I am tired..I went into work and filled out a stack of paperwork for my medical leave then went to the drug store and got my meds..
I am looking forward to this month being over already..

didn't get to see doc. he got called out for emergency surgery. i will see him monday

Trisha.. I sure hope you're able to use them!! I had a lot of fun, first, drafting the patterns mentally, then cutting and sewing and of course the ehem.. occasional ripping.. Lolol!! If you think your Mum's stubborn, Kel couldn't understand why I don't draw out my ideas on paper, so there'll be no mistakes. Told him the material width is 44 inches.. so I'll go from there.. also, what made it easier was the fabrics were pre-quilted. I wanted to put pockets inside.. but thought I'd rather get you a new wallet, so you could transfer stuffs easily from one purse to another. Don't know what length spools you have.. took a guess you might need a spin bag :D Kel calls it a catch-all bag.

Cindy, I have 2 sistahs for the 2009 swap.

But I have so much fun shopping for 2.. and making for 1... and Susan.. I'll be making you something/s too :D Labor of love doesn't cost anything!! Just want my sistahs happy.

Oh my my Niece.. you are truly incredible!!!!!! I showed off your box to a church sister, and she can't believe that with all the gadgets I have for my quilting passion, the one I love the most is your box!! Love you sweetheart!

Lisa, I hope where you're staying has adequate heat. Keep warm, wear extra socks.. and keep your head covered. Don't want you to get a relapse.

Stacey, I put Qtips and bandaids in mine so I can keep them at my desk and no one knows! Just the right size!

Audrey, I don't know what they will find but this came on very suddenly and she hasn't done any lifting or anything to cause it. The pain is quite bad......she deals almost too well with pain, this is only one of three or four times I have ever seen my mother cry due to pain or injury....so if she is crying it is really bad. She has never had any problems like this before, in fact she is usually constantly on the go....she and Betty could be sisters in all they get done in a day. My grandmother always told my mom to just sit down for a minute because she (gran) was getting tired just watching mom!!! Sure hope they find out something and get her back in operation...she is not good at having to just sit around.

Jaye,Glad I had my wallet with me at the grocery store....ran down to pick up some things for mom, she gave me a check made out to Safeway.....well she usually puts everything on her credit card....almost never writes checks....since she hasn't written a check there in the last thirty days they can only take it if she is there and has I.D., doesn't matter that we have done most of our shopping there for the past 40 years!!!!! If she calls ahead and talks to a manager they MIGHT could make an exception...I am still spittin' and sputterin' like an alley cat! Since I wasn't shopping for myself I would usually just stick my I.D. in my pocket and go.....but this time had to take my new wallet with me.....if I hadn't it would have meant an extra trip home and back to the store again.

And I do dearly love the bags and will get much use out of them.....I was at moms when I opened the box and I told her what you said about regifting if I couldn't use them....she said she would be very happy for me to regift one to her!!! We both love black/red/floral combinations a lot!!

Jaye a little girl at my house tonight saw the Kisses and wanted to know if they were for her....when I told her you sent them to her she asked me to say Thank You.....she says it is really cool to get stuff from people you haven't even met!!! Well I am checking back in!! Meeting went very well, got a lot of areas covered and ready to go. If we are lucky our website will be active in about a week to 10 days. I'm counting.

We are definitely getting some cold weather here now. I don't think it got out of the 40 in either Gainesville or Tally. A little wind at time in Gainesville which made it really uncomfortable.

Yes, I did run late getting in--stayed at lunch with my friends longer than anticipated and stopped by a new quilt shop on my way home. Oh my at the goodies I found. Will post some pictures later==not tonight.

Trisha, hope you Mom gets some relief with the leg soon. Knees are bummers!!!! Audrey, haven't you ever had a MRI done on yours before? They aren't bad --just the being very still for about 2 hours that almost did me in. They gave me breaks eveyone and then but it still is a long time to be in one position. Of course, things could have changes as this was 5 years ago when mine was done.

Congrats on the new computer BJ. So you are tracking the plane with Micheal? Sounds like an interesting site to go to. Have to remember that one.

Waving to Linda Kay and Cindy. Phyllis have a fantastic time with your parents. Wish I could still go places and do things but until Mom is better recovered from the fall it is don't to be. Physical therapy is really making a difference but it is still slow.

Tante-I hope you like these ones-they will be brighter and like I said kind of a "zoo" theme, but I REALLY wanted to use Mauve for one, and a bright pink for one, but as I know you detest the color even if it went with a hippity hop, I picked other colors....

I am really glad you all liked the boxes, Audrey, I am still missing a pic of yours if you wouldn't mind posting one so I can save it-I have been trying to take pics of everything I craft and forgot with so many boxes...I am missing BJ's and Kathy's and Cindy's too....

Kathy-I am soooo glad that it sounds like the bipsy went well-I was worried sick over it!! I just love you so much and DO NOT want you in any pain.....and don't think with the hurricane there that you could take the proper time to heal either.

Soooooo, LK-did you get the purple stang??? I have to know as the jelousy is eating me alive!! I once had a purple Neon, the kind where at night it looked black and when it was cloudy looked almost navy blue-I desperately want to paint my Murano that color-right now the Pig (Murano is spanish for Pig pretty much) is black, but more white from all the winter driving!!LOL

I am sorry to hear about all the aches and pains, my only big pain is my allergies:( I hope that the weather starts to cooperate more so you can all start feeling better:)

Laura-as my mom always told me there is a reason you weren't meant to have that house....when we couldn't get the one we wanted in Fresno she said it and I didn't believe it-3 mos later DH lost his job and there was NO WAY we could've afforded the mortgage, then after we moved here, we found the PERFECT house so we thought and it had been on the market for like 6 mos, of course that same night another couple saw and liked it so we were in a bidding war in THIS HOUSING MARKET!! Ridiculous!! We didn't want to loose it, so we kept going higher, and at the end we just had to let it go as they wanted us to pay MORE than they were originally asking for it!! Then we found this house, which needs a little more work, but the owners were more willing to work on the #ers and almost $40,000 less for it-then less than a year later DH lost his job again:( So if we had the payments of the other one we probably would've lost that one too....so I guess my mom was right, and while at the time I was mad at her for the statement, she is wise and knew what she was talking about, so I guess what I am trying to say is:there was a reason you weren't meant to have those other houses-the right one is out there!!

Ya know I was thinking-if we had the time, you, me, mom, and Judy could rent a van for the trip to BJ's-only problem is time....but if we left Friday afternoon?? we would be there by like Sat am....4 shifts for driving?? About 18 hrs or so w/o stops for seeing the worlds largest ball of string.......so each driving for 5 hrs or 2 shifts of about 2.5 hrs each....
