I have had this dahlia for 10 years it just gives me more flowers every year the clump
is so big now it take two people to lift it into a box to store it I think I will devide it into four sections this spring make it easier to store

Pretty pinks you have there. Anything that needs digging and storing doesn't last long around here. I do admire people that can do it year after year. I like that DL too. Actually I never met a DL I didn't like. Usually go for solid colors but there are always exceptions, right.
It will be year three for this bright orange/red/purple streaked DL. Name is 'Sunset Pride',.

ok just got a call from a company that wholesales red delphiniums and they will be sold at home depot this spring but in small quantities lol that means high prices but hoping to find it lol and she will let me know in what location in my area so if worse comes to worse hoping to have seeds by the fall will hand pollinate and cover with fine net for a few days to make sure of what I will get

Roots & rhizomes catalog came today--more daylilies than usual. Went through looking for small dormant plants. No hosta, I will look for 2 or 3 small leaves ones also.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Thanks evie. It will look a little different this year. You know , move this, replace that, it's never done but that's the fun of gardening for me.
Mona I hope you can snag one of those red delphs this spring. Be sure to let us know about the seed too.
iris have you ordered from them before? How has their service and products been for you? They do not have very good reviews at GW. I do like to see new catalogs arrive even if I am not ordering anything else. I luuuuv to look at all those pretties. ✿

re the red delphinium will be available at home depot in the states that is the info grower told me and in canada it will be hit and miss not impressed but will not quit

I must get it lol hahhahah

The main trouble I've been told about R & R is that if they run short of plants, they will send a similiar plant, not what you ordered. I bought a dwarf aruncus from them which was fine--but they no longer carry it. Perhaps it wasn't a good seller.

I keep trying to get red ones but mine always come out checkerboards sigh.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

In 2008 they were pink, but maybe it was a different plant that came up from seed and perhaps the mother plant died back. I don't remember if they bloomed in 2007. I think they did and were pink, like last year.

Karen

Here are the pink ones.

Those are a pretty colour too. My favorite so far is the 'Chandelier' yellow. I have them in front of the cottonyaster hedge so they really show well. Drat I don't have a pic. Here's my fav PG delph last year. Blend of purple, aqua and deep blue Very bright.

Thanks pat. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Gorgeous shades, dnut. I like the pink lupines, Karen. Nice and straight. Often they do weird curvy things.

Mona, the Rainbow daylily looks very nice.

R&R puts out a nice looking catalog. I have only ordered from them once, and it was DL's. I was very disappointed, they were so small. Took them 3 years to bloom. Maybe they do better with other plants. Don't order DL's from them. This past fall I ordered DL's from Brown's Ferry Gardens, and they were good quality plants. Their prices are good, too.

I know what you mean, Victor, about the lupines doing weird, curvy things. Mine have done that, too, at times. Maybe that was why I didn't get pics of them in 2007. They probably weren't photogenic that year.
