Oh, No, Celeste! I'm feeling sick! What a terribly sad shock. I'm so, so sorry!! Do you have a way to find her other babies? Oh, this is terrible! I'm really sorry!
Sophie's Saga....The Journey Continues
That is terribly sad news Pixie. I hope her other babies are big enough to look after themselves on their own.
Such sad news!! Hugs
Thanks everyone! I located her 2 babies under a bird feeder two house's down from me. The neighbors are a wonderful elderly couple whom I know will take good care of them. She already told me she and DH enjoy watching them and they have been coming there for a while now. We gave her Bubbles bag of food as we always have 2...one for bubbles and one for Sophie. Both of her babies look like her...one has a pure white tail like Sophie!
They don't like to be picked up...Bubbles didn't mind but they do. These babies were born outside and have never been held by a human.
Thanks for letting us know that, Celeste. Let's all hope they will be ok. Sniff.
Awww...gonna miss Bubbles! :-((
So sorry Celeste. They touch our hearts and tickle our funny bones, seems not fair that they leave us too soon.
Bubbles was sooo beautiful---what a loss! Hopefully the elderly couple will care for the babies. We had woodchuck babies eating grass by the side of the road that leads to our road--I loved them, but my husband said, "Too much traffic for them." He was right--one was flattened in the road, but after that, we saw none. The rest of the family must have moved. I know woodchucks are a problem in the garden, but these babies were cute! We're so sorry, Pixie!
I'm happy to hear that Bubble's babies will be well looked-after. So nice!
Karen
so sorry to hear
very sad since we love bunnies
So sorry to hear about Bubbles, Celeste. She was a beautiful bunny. With some help in the form of extra food through the rest of the winter, the babies should be fine. They must be pretty big by now.
I wish I knew where 'our' bunny went. I think I mentioned earlier in the thread that we had one baby all by itself living under our bay window until I had my shrubs trimmed in the fall. I watched it grow all summer and we took turns startling each other in the garden LOL. (I think a fox or coyote got the rest of the family).
Sophie Bump!
Sorry..been sick Will try to get some up dated photos on by the end of the week!
to many cayotes around no bunnies for me saw one about a year ago and that was it lots of the rats with pretty tails lol squirrels and chipmunks gallore will have to live trap them and take them for a ride since I figure I will have over 24 this spring
I will not hurt them just find them better homes in the forest somewhere
No worries Pixie. Just get better soon. We can wait for more honey bunny pics.
DH & I went out and bought Sophie a new house....pictures soon!!!
Got a mortgage?!
In Houston?
Hee hee - good one, dnut!
lol, you guys are too funny! The cage I had bought her when we first found her was now to small. So we bought her a Hutch...in the spring she'll get the fenced in play area to go with it.

You made Brian laugh, but he'll pass on holding you. However...you can romp in the acreage anytime you want!! lol
I know - I'm just playing. Thanks!
Thanks Celeste - I may take you up on that offer! I'm sure Brian can hold me with no problem.
the weather is just beautifull from june to september you could always make the rounds of all the gardens 2.5 acres my way, you can come and play if you want
Im a real good baker mmmmm cookies, cakes, pies
Wow - sounds great. I'll work my way from Maine to Ontario! You guys with acreage are so blessed.
anytime victor you would love this place 80 foot trees for shade and a salt water pool if it gets to hot
in may there is the tulip festival 25 different locations with very large gardens with millions of tulip of every color just amazing will look to post some pics
If you come down here and work in my garden I will make you a pineapple upside down cake or a cranberry upside down cake.
Now this is getting too tempting! FL in the winter with homemade cake and Maine and ON in the summer with a salt water pool and Celeste's great baked goods. How do I slip out unnoticed?!
Don't forget...i'll let ya raid my garden. hee hee he
Wow - beautiful, Mona.
