Well Tina unless you have someone, BJ is the only one so far who has a significant other!! Foot loose here---not happy about it but that is what it is.

Gee twice?? How did it live the first time.. wait.. it has 9 lives!!!!! Lolol Tina!!!

I'm gonna head off to the comfy recliner... quilt's looking so inviting. Kel's fixing me a cuppa peach tea and JD bottle already laying in wait. Now how could I leave him for a month if I were to go on that cruise??? Hmm... what would the captain do to a stowaway?

Sounding better all the time!! Guess I had better go dig that Maxwell House coffee can out of the trash and make a "trip" jug out of it. Can't have it confused with the BJ jug now can I?

I think I am calling it a day also. Need to stretch this leg out as the knee is starting to say it has been bent a wee bit to much now.

I just woke up from sleeping and now I can't go back to sleep I started to think about Lisa
I rent a house my landlord has to have it inspected once a year by the city of waukegan code dept. Anyways I start to look things up here Lisa I don't no if this will be any help but this is a start http://www.waukeganweb.net/onlinehousingguide.html.
I also read that you may be able to get help from the Red Cross and Catholic Charities. I have no idea if this will help you but maybe its a start

Yes, churches, the Salvation Army, food banks, us here, a lot of times the red cross can steer you to the others, but with the people I work with I know that there is A LOT of help out there, just takes some looking to find it....

Morning my sweet sistahs. Marion, you were with Judy and me in spirit Friday. I hope you get a full knee recovery there sweetie. I know that pain in the knee very well. I get a trick knee and it slips out of place so easily. You take good care not to over do until your doctors can fix it.

Judy and family got to my house around 5pm on Friday. We had a wonderful visit. Judy and I sat up past midnight talking like we were long lost friends catching up on the years we've missed. We talk on the phone a good bit but the personal eye to eye was the best present we could ever give each other. And her family, Steve her dh and the two teenagers, Jacob and Brenie are so full of life! Jacob and Brenie are whiz kids with electronics and computers. I'm impressed and just realized how behind the times I am. Both teens had a blast driving my garden buggy. Cool Beans was their expression of having a ball!!!!!!!!!

Bj, do you remember us talking about your brick wall and the philadandrum running in the grout lines? I started mine after we talked about it. It does a pretty go job of growing inbetween the bricks as you can see in this picture.

Our DH's tried to out talk us. Judy and I sat in the sunroom while the menfolk sat in the den. Judy's husband has the hat on.

Ladies;
Sorry I haven't been online..This week has been very bad.Earlier this week I asked for prayers for my Aunt well she ended up passing away that night.So drove down to Indiana for the service..We had a small service on Christmas day.
I helped my cousin take care of all the arrangments and a few other things today before driving home..I finally pulled into my building about 10.30 tonight and then I saw the horror..There's been a fire in my building..The apartment below me caught fire from their christmas tree and spred to several other apartments including mine..I have lost everything I just bought--I didn't have renters insurance..
So I am camping out at a hotel until futher notice once again..

Sorry to put a dammper on the group..
I hope you all had a nice Christmas.

Jacob and Brenie. Two sweet kids. Julia had to work so she couldn't come. That just means I'll try to make a trip so I can meet her.

Rant Alert!!!
Ok This really sucks..I talked to the apartment management today and found a few this out..
1.Their insurance is none existist(THEY HAVE NONE!!!!!)Are they Crazy!!!!
2.They will not refund my deposit.
3.They give no help in looking for another apartment or will they let me have a vacant one(He said I was too much of a RISK!!!!)
4.I found out today their smoke dectors DIDN'T WORK!!!
5.They throught all my stuff in the garbage and when I asked why they said I had abandoned the apartment and it was all garbage.( I went dumpster Dive-YEK and was about to get a few things that I found )
So came back to my room and did some number crunching this is what I figured out.
1.I have enought money to pay for the room for a month(even with being off work for 2 weeks)
2.I can hit a used store and get a few pairs of jean and teeshirts to get me through for awhile.Undergarment will be bought new..
3.I have some money for food(will be living off tuna,P&J sandwiches,and cereal and milk)LOL
4.Then I am flat BROKE!!!

What a sad Christmas week Lisa has experienced. I'm so sorry to hear this happened. Goodwill will set you up complete with furniture and clothes, Lisa. Talk to the fire chief. He'll vouch for you and can help get you what you need.

This is the saddest thing I've heard of happening to one of our sistahs. I don't know Lisa but I'm in hopes she has family that can help her, mom dad, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles?

Staceypoo gave me so much goodies and one of the butterflies is on the lamp.

I can't remember all of what she said when she first joined us but I think she just got divoiced. And had just gotten apt. I do remember her saying that someone put a Christmas tree in her apt. so I think there is family and friends nearby.

The best thing we can do for Lisa is for all of us to Pray. The Lord knows her needs. All of us, please ask God to provide Lisa with her needs.
