Ice Storm Pictures

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone, im fine and thank you for thinking of us.
We lost power @ 7:45 on friday morning and got it back late this afternoon. We too, were told it would be 3-5 days before we got power back but they had it back on after only 33-35 hours. I'm extremely grateful!!

The ice was intense and brutal, I took pictures as it unfolded so you'll get an idea of what it was like in my area.
I can only pray are M.I.A. DG friends are fairing well.

This was Friday afternoon around 3 pm on my hackmatack

Oh my gosh Pixie! beautiful photos, but that's nasty ice. They say we might get something similar over the next few days. I hope not.

It stopped raining around 8 - 9pm and moon was so bright! I went out and took a night shot...just cause I could see so well!

Hopefully there weren't many car accidents and everyone has power (not likely, but we can hope)

Sunrise this morning was beautiful even though I knew that lots of damage was coming with that beauty. I enjoyed the beauty of it for those few moments and then I took a ride to survey the damage of my small town. I was also in search of a cup of coffee! lol

Lots of leaning or broken tree's. Please excuse the blurred spot on the right of the pictures. It seems I was just a clicking fool and didn't realize I had gotten a drop of snow/ice on it. DUH!
