Nice pictures Debra!

Does anybody know what the pink blooming plants are? I - MUST - HAVE - THESE!!!!

Thumbnail by robcorreia

The pink plant is Medinilla Magnifica; look them up, they are a bit tricky to keep but well worth it.

That is indeed a SEED (not seedpod) on the Queen Emma. They grow easily from seed but do take a while to get to blooming size.

Portland, TX(Zone 9a)

Ooh LaLa I love that pink plant too rob. Need to jot that name down so I don't forget it.

Red Oak, TX

Texasbigleaves, I took this picture yesterday for the variegated thread, it is supposed to be a variegated Ti plant . What do you think?

Roberta, they have a Medinilla miniata, similar to what you were looking for above.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

LOL,...thanks Patty..you did it again!! enabler you....:)

Portland, TX(Zone 9a)

You know you love it RJ. Besides X-mas is right around the corner and we must be good to ourselves and buy ourselves a present or two or three. . . . I'm going to send you the link to the ebay seller that I just bought a Zebrina from. Expect dmail in a second.

Rita, I have a goldendust acuba like you posted. It always gets white scale or some type of disease every year. Do you have any trouble with yours? What do you use on it as far as pesticide?

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

The only thing that is keeping me from buying all these plants is because I am having to haul of of them inside in the winter. Too much work and my whole body hurts!

Someday, I'm going to have a greenhouse like you...

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I do! Thanks Patty. Thanks for the link, because I do intend to collect one of those.

No kidding! I was walking around in a T shirt this morning oblivious to the fact our forecast had been dramatically revised, and when I noticed the "window fogging effect" I knew cold was on the way. I just implemented the quick move program, where certain plants come in and out of the house during temperature changes. And stuffed a few in the greenhouse. The poor door needs new hinges!

I love the Dombea or however it's spelled. It has such a wide range of tolerance for temperatures. It's as perky in August as it is in December.
