Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today #71 visit with friends...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well morning all, looks as though I'm not the only one up...Bev Poweder still has the kitten in him..my Missy plays as well but Riley, she just wants to 'be'..lol..

Carol, what a beautiful sunset..will add a note, great idea...have several things passed down, none of which are of any value except for me..my grandfathers well used fork (almost like needles-he had it when he was a child), my grandmother who passed on just months before my birth (in her early 30's) tree ornaments..soooo delicate...her watch engraved with Bessie Mary which I just had to have all my I.D. changed to..all keepsakes for me..perhaps Kyle, he seems sentimental..but really they are just things...what is the weather like this morning Carol, seems mild, haven't been out but must do..snow blower still in car as are 20 bases for Victorian Santa's...if it's mild I should go get the ice off a few steps that I couldn't clear last night...but storms are on their way..at least for here...

Vicki looking forward to when you have time to visit some..we do miss you...bet work is crazy for you at this time of year..your brain won't stop? same here! so many things I want to do on my week off, trying to figure if I'll be here for Christmas or going south to Florida...mixed feelings about both...so brain just thinks, creates so up and at it but will tell you by 6 tonight most likely it will be bed time..maybe not..don't have to drive to the city..staying in jammies..well not tomorrow at the Christmas party I'm having here with friends..but, they know me and would get a kick out of it..lol

Bettyu-when you put glitter on something and no matter how much you shake or brush it, everytime you move it glitter still falls off-hence "glitter dandruff"

Does that make sense??

Laura down under-sorry to hear about your sis-Betty is right-she just needs to know you are there when she is ready to talk

Laura in WA-I was a barbie and cabbage patch freak as a kid-still have it all and saving it for if we ever have kids....

Liz, if you are that 'Jealous' of me and the snow, come help me shovel...not so much fun..lol

Can't imagine having rats..know when I'm at moms with all the orange trees there are some but haven't seen any inside..you'd hear me if you did...guess that is why I have 2 hunter kitties...no mice...

Cousin saw me on msn so he called, not the greatest of typist so gabbed for 1/2 hr instead...he lives in Windsor only miles from the USA Detroit border..remember I stayed with him on my trip to Chicago..anyway gave him all the soap about mom, sister Sharon, brother Bernie..all being ill..me and Mike, we were the ones most ill when young and now are healthy or healthier...

Says if I go to Florida to drop in and spend the night..might do but enjoy going Buffalo way..we'll see..doubt I'll be travelling unless I take off myself..

Stacey, knew you'd be up early..

Depends on what I'm doing..sometimes i.e. like the santa's..I'll use the glue gun with drips on staff, greenery and drop the glitter into it..when it's an outdoor piece I sometimes purchase and use adhesive, light mist spray and add sparkles, takes awhile to dry though..then my best is take podgy and wish a brush put a light coat where I want it and sprinkle ..also sometimes when I spray with varathane/urathane I'll add them and 90% will stay..

Hope I answered your question..many options..what are you putting it on?

I already put it on the candle holders trisha is getting-I used aleenes and I get the few fall off everytime I move it-I have banged, dusted, wiped, everything I can think of to get the extras off and they still fall a few at a time everytime I move it-you think varnish or podge will seal it so no more fall off??

Victoria Harbour, ON

might help..but from past experience regardless of what you do you still have a few that fall off..dandruff dust as you call it..loved your pieces..you are way too critical of your work Stacey..be proud of your accomplishments...

Hi, guys. Did anyone see Australia yet? We were going to see it on Thursday, but decided the opening day would be too crowded. Let me know if you liked it, if you did see it. I think it will be a great movie and I saw Oprah talking it up too. She once said, that she could not really rave about a movie that she did not really like, she said she will say stuff like, Oh you were so cute in that movie...but not say it is a must see like she did about this one.

She said, The Bridges of Madison County was a must read and see movie and it was.

I had an alright Thanksgiving, but it is not the same this year not cooking myself and having family there.

Betty like you said, It is not the same.

Gosh guys this global warming is ridiculous because it was like 89 today or something. Our plants are not even dormant except the elms and our trees all have leaves on them and roses blooming. It is so odd. Usually here the day that all leaves are gone is Thanksgiving.

I hear you all are having rain and snow and ice back east, which everyone is east of me. lol
