I'm here!!!! I'll tell Laura!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'll borrow our sistahs' Santas for our pages' pictures. If any do mind, let me know please..
That's Audrey's and I wish mine's as pretty as hers.
Betty is a very patient teacher, which Audrey can testify to.. right?

Sistah Kathy, you must insert a ME DAY on your calendar, where you do totally nothing for one day!!! Goodness you got me and a few here looking hopeless :D

Sistah Deborah, you got me praying for your aunt as well.

Yep... got to wish BJ a Happy Birthday. Especially a pain free day on that day.... better yet, let that be history BEFORE your big day, BJ.

Judy, sounds your family capitalize on staying happy!!! Way to go, sistah!!
Been busy 'winter cleaning' and still got rooms to go.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I can't believe Trisha's her first!!! Stacey... where are you?? You've lost your place!

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Afternoon ladies..

Well I have 3 shops to go back to next week as possible stops and 1 scheduled to do win addition to my sisters shop. Im going to make phone calls tomorrow and see if I can catch some poeple who were not in today. Stopped in a nd visited with her at work and wished her a Happy B-day along with teasing her a bit about her age...lol Also got to gee my grandmother for a minute while visiting she came up for a visit at the shop..

Called the local church to ask about bread on Thursdays (since every little bit helps I figure) and was sent to the food bank (I went there once during summer before Max found work). They were so very sweet and sent us home with groceries for about a week and a half. They said they remembered Tony and asked how he was doing.

The great News is that I got scheduled in for the workshop on wednesday morning. They said they would give me a bunch of information on legal issues and possble a way for help but she was happy to hear that I am getting started on fixing it now instead of waiting until the papers are served.. Apparently alot of people wait and are forced out when it isnt necasarry simply because they are not willing to work on trying to keep their homes and they give up. I assured her I wasnt giving up and would be there with bells on.. They may not be able to help but its worth a shot and at least I will have a better understanding to where we stand and what our rights are. Im calling tomorrow as soon as the bank clears what we deposited today and having them take a large payment. Granted its only one of the two they want by the 3rd but its showing we are trying. Sorry started to vent there... Okay I will quit I promise..

Anywho.. Thank you so much for your compliments on my painting. I do it in little bits of time (a few weeks or months) and moreor less craft whenever I can in one way or another. If I get tired of doing something I switch to another project I have had in mind.. Keeps my time busy then I have gifts or items to sell. From graphite drawing to covering Bowling balls in pennies (my last crazy idea) I just like being creative..

BJ Happy Birthday from one scorpio to another!
Birthdays.. Funny you should mention them.. Mine is Wednesday and I think Im gonna have a mid afternoon crisis..lol
I dont have enough time for much other than that..

Need to catch up on what happened all day but need to get to Dinner and get Maxs lunch (midniht snack) ready for him before he goes to work..
Catch Up and Talk to you all later..

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Get teary eyed reading your posting Donna. Bless your heart.. and so proud of you for not giving up!! You try all avenues and even the food bank. We are all praying hard here that soon, things will look up for you.
Another Scorpio!! We'll be baking lots of cakes and master baker Kathy will be glad to do them!!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

.Donna one of my little books says "When the outlook isn't good, try the uplook"..........we are all looking up and keeping you all in our prayers!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Brought over from the last page.... sorry, Jaye.

WooHoo Donna... YOU GO GIRL... I knew you'd get some windows to paint...I've been pulling for you all day.

I love to see a woman taking matters in her own hands and just "git er done" like you're doing... Surely the bank will see that big payment as good faith that you're trying...

Happy Birthday !!!!... I'll say it again on Wednesday

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Afternoon BSF!!! Sounds like you all are so busy running around, doing chores and such. Whew! you make me tired just reading all you have done. Slow down, and take time to smell the roses please?
BJ, the Santas only take about a yard of material, plus what ever trim you want to add. They are very easy to do, just follow the steps Betty posted and it will be done in no time.
Time for me to take some more sinus pills. Guess it is that time of year, everyone here is sneezing, and sniffling! We have mountain cedar that is coming in with the north winds, and it wreaks havoc with everyone here!
Take care
LK

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

OH yeah, I almost forgot, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Trisha and Laura, for getting 2nd place in the photo contest. Way to go girls!!! Nice photos!

Mum and daughter.. you both need to start a greeting card company!!

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

I am going to post this one here and on SI since this one has been closed for a while. I always saya, save the best for last and that is exactly what Cindy did!
I love the litle pumpkin candle and the skull snowglobe.
The man in the middle is an extra special treat. My kitchen is all done in chef's and Cindy sent me a cheese shaker that had belonged to her aunt who passed away last year. I love him an he will have a place of honor on my self!
(Keep going and look at the bestest part! in the next post)

Happy Birthday, Donna! Mine's next Fri.! I hope to get to go to my girls' house for Thanksgiving, so I'll be with them then! Get to see my ggd! She's 5 mo. old!

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

These were handmade; I can tell and they are wonderful. The Frankenstein is quite big as you can see and he has bolts in his kneck. He is like a floppy doll and will sit wherever you put him. I love him a lot and he must have taken you a long time to do, Cindy. The farmer is made from a brick! Can you believe it? He is painted and dressed and his hat sits right on top of his head. How you mailed without tons of postage I don't know but he is just darling and can go inside or out.

Cindy I love them, each and every one, and thank you so much. Things are extra special when someone has made them just for me!

Janice, that shaker ain't goin' nowhere, right?
Lovely, lovely gifts.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

cough.. cough.. sputter..
Niece, the Metro Santa needs more work.. any suggestions?

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Aren't they great? No one better bother my chef!!

Donna, glad to hear you are going to the workshop. Banks really like it when people try to keep their homes and when they try to catch up on the payments. Shows intent and they check those things out. Don't know who you have your mortgage with but hope it is somene who is working with the govenment right now to keep people in their homes. Some can be good to work with and others are out for themselves. Let's hope your's is one of the former.
Also glad to hear you are doing things to keep busy. Lots of people just sit back and cry "Oh, ME!" but you are doing things for family, friends and yourself as well as keeping the goal in mind.

Hey, Betty, went out today and bought more velvet for a second Santa. You hooked me with all yur details and pictures yesterday. I think the second should be lots better than the first.
That's what makes us woman great!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

maybe a belt??????

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Donna-keep an eye on the mail in a few days-something will be late;)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Late Afternoon,

I'm so glad Janice got her halloween gifts and Janice, I'm so very very sorry they are late.

I thank you all for your praise. I couldn't find Trisha and Laura's pix.

Things make get a bit shakey here and I probably won't be around much. I will check in every now and then.I really enjoy doing the swaps and chit chatten with everyone. But I've got to not get into anymore swaps awhile.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm asking for prayers for my aunt Lisa. She's less than a year younger than me and more like a sister. I've been staying at the hospital the past two days in the afternoon. She's been in ICU since Wednesday night.

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Hi Ladies,
I am dead from planting plant all day and then taken all the buds off.. Guess what? I forgot to take pictures of the plants I bought.... BUT I did take plants at the show of all there pretties... BUT they are not resized yet... So after work tomorrow I will do it...
My Dave's Garden subscription ends on Wed or Thursday and I may not get it right away... But have no fear I will be back if I don't get it before then... I just spent allot of money at the show and paid bills today sooooooo it may have to wait until pay day which is next Thrusday... We will see....
Ok this lady is off to bed...
Huggers,
Susan

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Deborah... you and your cousin are in my prayers... what is she in the ICU for? If you don't mind talking about it here. Doesn't matter... she's still in my prayers.

Cindy... I think we all get in that position sometimes. I am not joining any swaps right now either... cept just one now and then...

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

I don't think I can afford EVER to join any swaps any more, except FQ! The postage is just to high! As much as I love the swaps!
Deborah, thoughts and prayers for your loved one!

A guy is sitting at the bar just staring at his drink for half an hour when this big trouble-making biker steps next to him, grabs his drink, gulps it down in one swig and then turns to the guy with a menacing stare as if to say, 'What'cha gonna do about it?'

The poor little guy starts crying.

'Come on man I was just giving you a hard time,' the biker says. 'I didn't think you'd CRY.' 'I can't stand to see a man crying.'

'This is the worst day of my life,' says the little guy between sobs. 'I can't do anything right. I overslept and was late to an important meeting, so my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car was stolen and I don't have any insurance.. I left my wallet in the cab I took home. I found my wife in bed with the gardener and my dog bit me. So, I came to this bar trying to work up the courage to put an end to my life, and then you show up and drank the poison.'

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Mrs. Johnson decided to have her portrait painted by a famous artist. She told the artist, 'Paint me with diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, emerald bracelets and a ruby pendant.' 'But you are not wearing any of those things.' 'I know,' said Mrs. Johnson. 'My health is not good and my husband is having an affair with his secretary. When I die I want the woman to go nuts looking for the jewelry.'

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

(don't recall whether I had posted this..)
A man charges into a bank wearing a mask and wielding a handgun.

He shouts "This is a robbery- everyone get on the floor!", and proceeds to empty the cash drawers.

As he runs towards the door with the loot, a brave customer yanks off his mask. The robber immediately shoots the customer in the head and shouts "Did anybody else here see my face?".

The robber notices another customer peering from behind a counter and goes over and shoots him in the head also.

"Did anybody else see my face?" He shouts again, waving his gun around.

There is a silence for a few seconds before a male voice is heard from a distant corner. "I think my wife caught a glimpse..."

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I needed my tickle box turned over before I call it a night. That last guy must be a rolling pin victim at home. HAHA

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL... looks like all those poor men are victims.

Night folks... have a good night everyone.

I hope everyone sleeps well tonight and any bugs going around get gone.
