tried to sleep in this morning a bit but only made it to 7am as that is when the dogs wanted out but may go back to bed in a bit to see if I can get rid of this headache LOL
need to get to work on some projects so the back room doesn't look such a mess so I'll be in and out

Laura, I love you. I could spend days listening to you tell about all of your interests. I have a book I'd love for you to read that my great uncle wrote on his ten year adventures around the world. Sage has a wonderful future with such intellitchural parents as you and Sean. You two will open up a world of information for her to absorb through the love of books. I'm with you on staying away from the corruption of TV. I don't watch it other than the occasional nature and history channels. Oh, well, yes, through in the ballgames too.

Donna, I'm happy to have your kids as my adopted grandkids too, along with Sage, Punk Boy and others..

Morning everyone..

Well I thought I was going to sleep in and go out in the yard to do some work but its raining cats and dogs out there. I suppose its a good thing I held off on he yard sale until next weekend. The kids want to go stay at my best friends house for the night so it looks like I will have the whole quiet house to myself this evening when Max goes back to work. I dont even remember him comming home this morning but hes out like a light now.

Wow Sean is tall huh? Its a great picture of the two of you and you SD Sage is so adorable. She looks really happy with that in her hand..

As for the marrige thing your right its just telling everyone else. We were going to have a wedding but the bickering and fighting started betwen eeryone and we couldnt ste a date that everyone was going to be able to make it so we gave up and went downtown. We too had the day and night alone butthat was it.. No honeymoon needed we couldnt afford it and we figure maybe on our 10 year we will do something big to make up for it. We have our differences but that is what makes it work with us. Im outgoing and like to keep busy and hes more quiet and laid back. He keeps my head level when I need it to be and I can say in 5 years we have had littl epetty arguments but no major problems. Life is simple when you love eachother its true and with him it feels like we can make it through anything..

Well I better get in the shower and get moving for the day. Will stop back by later today after I get everything situated. I think I will be crafting since its yucky outside. Besides I wont have anyone to talk to after I drop off the kids so I will need to keep myself busy until Max gets up..

Well, technically 5, but we haven't heard from the "Z" man lately.

We really have gotten a lot of rain the past two days. Our pond is full again. yipee!

I have to tell you girls... I got my candle order from Cindy. And, if you haven't already ordered some... you really should. THEY'RE wonderful. Smells like I've been cooking all day long in my house right now.

I know! I'm thrilled with mine.

For us, we were paying for our wedding...we lived in AZ, so decided to go to vegas, and set the date-when we came home that year in June, we told everyone when it was, got the invitations and sent them out-whoever came was whoever came...we couldn't afford a honeymoon either, so for our 1st anv. we went to Sedona, which was about a 1.5 hr drive and stayed for 4 days-wasn't too expensive-we went on one of those timeshare things (LOL) and payed for the other 2 days-got a couple free dinners and lunches too!!LOL And while the timeshare thing was 3 hrs of it we said what the heck if it pays for everything for 2 of those days!!

I ordered some from her, I am sending containers I made and such, so I will DEFINITLY be looking forward to them-BJ-did you ever get those darn smellies??

Deborah you did so well on your first sewing project. Are you sure you didn't sew in a past life? Soon you will be quilting with the rest of us. The only down side is you will always have the sewing machine out, the table piled high, and threads all over the rug, but it is worth it. Congrats, lady!

Talking about quilting...when do you sistahs think I should start the black and white quilt block swap? I had thought of early Dec. with blocks not due until late Jan., but I know how busy Christmas is. There are two other swaps in Jan. so maybe mid-Jan open with block not due until end of Feb.?
Give me a concensus, and tell me you pleasure.

Nope, never sown before on a machine. You've been to my house recently, Janice. LOL I've been on my hands and knees picking up thread off my dining room rug! I'm proud to be in such a wonderful group of sistah seamstresses!

I'm going with whatever you decide, Janice. Seems the b/w blocks wouldn't interfer with many other swaps seeing how we won't be crafting a project for yours.

The cat just loves it. She thought that cat hair was just the touch my victorian santa needed on his robe. She plays with the threads and bits of material and carrys them all over the house.
I keep saying that one day I will have a room just for sewing and crafting, but with two bedrooms one has to be office, library, sewing, junk and packages for whatever holiday room. There is just enough room for my chair and the dog.
Last night I had the office full, the victorian santa spread out over the dining room table and a quilt rack I was staining for DIL taking up most of the living room.
Nobody said life with you crafty ladies isn't fun!!!

I have the same problem with Jade-I had gottne some yarn to put on my wreath and the next day when I came home that little turd had it up the basement stairs, around the kitchen tabel, into the living room, around the couch and the rest was in a neat little pile right in front of the fireplace!!LOL Just left like a little pressie!!

Hi All,
Well looks like I missed allot while I was gone...All of you look like you had so much fun... I loved all the pictures... It is always so nice when we get to meet each other.. I have now met 5 people from Dave's garden.... I can't wait to meet more... ^_^
Well went to my plant show and had a blast... I am still tired and have to pot up allot of AV's... I am TIRED ... So this is short but I will be back a little later... I missed you all so much...
