Deborah's recipes..
Pretzel Salad
2 c. pretzels, crushed (sift off any loose salt before crushing)

3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. and 1 Tbs. sugar, seperated
8 oz cream cheese
1 medium carton frozen whipped topping
2 (3 oz) packages strawberry gelatin
2 c. boiling water
2 (3 oz) frozen strawberries, undrained

Combine pretzels, margarine and 1 Tbs. sugar, pat into 9x13 pyrex dish. and Bake
8 minutes at 400*. Cool

Mix 1 cup sugar, cream cheese and frozen whipped topping. Spread over pretzel crust,

Mix gelatin and strawberries when mixture starts to set, pour over salad and refrigerate.

Cracklin Cornbread

I use Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Self Rising White Corn Meal Mix.
I use the Corn Bread recipe on the back of the bag. Use skinless cracklins. Use an Iron Skillet. Spray w/pam Preheat, oil in pan until a sprinkle of water makes a splatter & spit. Then pour the mixture in the cast iron skillet and cook 425* until brown. Let cool 5 or so mintues then turn over onto a serving dish.

If anyone wants the instructions on the back of the bag I'll be glad to type it out. I don't add the optional sugar. We don't like sweet cornbread at my house.

Did Janice get it all straightened out, and were there others that sent to the 'wrong' ones? Bummer, there goes trust in a swap.
We've been very fortunate that none here claim to be what they are not. I know I'm 5ft. 2 and a half, and weigh over 140 pounds, and I love you all!! :D

sis, i haven't named them yet. i have a hard time walking out to see them, so mike is moving them today to a pen in my back yard. will take pictures of them after they are moved, then i will name them. i had such a great time with the sisters. wih y'all could have been there

yea she is involved in 2 different swaps on quilts and kitchen towels and she posted it on one of them. ALL of the swaps that I am EXTREMELY late on will be in the mail TOMORROW, so sorry all for being soooooooooooooo late and hope the extra will make up for my tardiness.

I am so excited about that swap, mom and I got some fabric yesterday and just love it. We can not wait to do one. I also got my fabric for my fall quilt swap I was in and can not wait to get started on that one. Mom got hers done and the lady that is going to quilt it for her is coming by today to pick it up. She is charging, take the width by the height times 1 cent. Not bad at all.
