Yes, the men make brunch after spending all night up drinking homemade brandy and making a variety of sausages, smoked meats and pates. The women then have free time to spend until the next holiday doing important things like embroidering, trimming chives, and shopping for fresh bread. Life is good. They are not dependent on Costco.
New addition......
This bunny is SO cute. I had to stop the TV so I could pay all my attention to this thread. And share with the husband. I probably wouldn't be able to give it up, even for a granddaughter (good thing I don't have kids!).
I like boo too for some reason. Short and sweet!
Good luck with the bunny. And post lots of pix, esp with the DH. Can't get enough!
Hi Donnie! I haven't been tracking too many threads, but I've been around.
Hi Dave. Alumni member mitten-clad Dahlia here. Are you on meds like Victor? Just wonderin with the 'catfood' crack. I'm just tryin to stay in the loop as I enter the time of the cold and the dark ^_^
Bunny is doing much better....we think it's a girl and DH has taken to calling it "Sophie". We came very close to naming her 'Ayasha' which means 'little one' in Ojbwe (Chippewa) which is part of my ancestry. We decided on Sophie as we couldn't agree on how to say Ayasha, it came out different every time! lol
LOL pixie. Sophie is a great name.
I have a great aunt Sophie.
Just thought I'd mention it.
In case you wanted to know.
Ok I'm tired and need to go to sleep.
LOL jen. yupper been there/slept through that ^_^
And if it accidentally turns out is is male, you can say he is Sophocles! But I like Sophie. Sophia means knowledge, or logic, or something, I think.
dahlianut,
In my case it is the lack of medication that is the problem!
I think the final name should be 'Sophie's Choice'.
I got to giggling because Sophia Loren was one actress my Dad lusted after and she is a dark haired beauty. Our Sophie is very white, she is actually Albino as her eyes are red. Vietta, my DDMIL had one with red eyes that she called Ruby and house trained! It was a wonderful companion for her and really smart little thing!

Then you can her Al!
We thought about 'Ali' for a girl and 'Al' if it was a boy. Some reason Sophie kept coming to DH's head so that's her name.
Awww. She's so sweet! Sophie looks like she's taken to being right at home in her new digs. Congratulations on a spectacular rescue, Celeste. Those birds looked awfully hungry!
I found this link about a rabbit who saved it's mom and dad from a fire! http://thestarryeye.typepad.com/pets/2008/08/pet-rabbit-hops-to-the-rescue-and-saves-couple-from-house-fire.html Why do they call them "dumb bunnies"?
Sophie was my aunt & I loved her dearly! Good name!
Love the name, Celeste. Sweet Sophie! Glad to hear she is doing well. Bet she'll be so grateful to you for saving her that she'll house train for you in no time!!
That is one bunny I could love. Nice cat too! Mine loved nothing better than baby bunnies. Patti
robin rabbit--works for either gender
Cute. New camera?
What precious pics of bun-bun! I looked it up and the meaning of sophie/sophia is wisdom. She was indeed very wise to have picked the moment to appear just at the right time for you to rescue her.
No Victor , not yet...my reliable old Kodak easy Share Z40....point, shoot. Push a button to zoom, very simple. It has a few features I finally mastered, then they buy me a new one. lol
Sounds like life, Celeste!
awwww her eyes are all clear now and she looks bigger already. I wonder if she will be a big bunny or a little bunny?
tetleytuna, my DH lost his mother a few years ago, they used to have long talks. She wanted him to stay close to his brothers after she died.
He has tried to do this, with one brother it's hard, he lives farther away and doesn't have any of the same interest as DH. The other brother lives in the same town and has some of the same interest. DH & he have been hunting together alot this season and DH recently mentioned his Mother must be happy for this reason. Well this little bunny was not outside at 6am when I went out with the dogs. DH said this (about his Mom) around 8-8:30am when he got back from hunting with his brother. The bunny was spotted at 10am when we looked out the sliding doors. His Mother used to have a white bunny with red eyes named Ruby. Brian, my DH rescued that bunny from a cat and gave it to her. Coincidence?????
Oh, and Ruby was indeed litter box trained!
Then how about naming the bunny after Brian's Mom? Or Ruby?
Celeste - I do not believe there are coincidences, and this doesn't seem like one to me either. She gets cuter by the minute! Lucky Sophie!!
I can't call the bunny Ruby, that was the other ones name and calling her Vietta didn't feel right to him(DH). He said she looks like a Sophie!
So, Sophie it is and what a great name. Too cute. My DH said they had a bunny when he was growing up that stayed in the house, until he chewed through some wire. He responded to his name - Thumper. I love the picture of Brian and the furbabies.
Sophie gets cuter by the day---may have to talk my DS into getting one for the kids next year--the manure will be good for the gardens!
Oh, good point!!!
Tell him to be careful while shaving!
He doesn't shave during hunting season.....it's what keeps his face warm! lol
