New addition......
I just adore the bunbuns. Where is the thread? I can't find it. Link please if it's not a bother.
Thanks dear Phoebes!
can't believe how big Sophie is... very cute
WOW! How big she got in just a year. Very pretty! I bet she's spoiled rotten:-)
I think she gets it from her Harvey her great-great-great-etc grandfather. She is still just the cutest though, isn't she?
I also have a rabbit that adopted me. I found him a year ago out on a wooded trail and it was pretty clear that he wasn't one of the typical local natives. He's litter trained and romps around our house like a puppy. Oh, and did I mention that my husband has also recently begun speaking to me again? I was enjoying the quiet but I don't think I'll push my luck by "rescuing" anyone else. ;-)
Ooooooo. He is soooooo cute!
OMG! He's beautiful! What's his name?
Gorgeous colors!
He is a cutie! Very pretty!

Adorable.
So he was just wandering? Please tell us how you came upon him--love a good bunny story! ^_^
Oh my what a pretty rabbit!! Someone lost a beautiful bunny , so glad it found you!!
Aren't they just an amazing pet?
Here is Smoky's life story: I was out jogging in the early morning and saw him standing by the wooded trail. He was clearly out of place there, so I stopped about 10 yards away and spoke to him for a while. Gradually, I moved closer and was able to pick him up. I was surprised, but he acted as if being scooped up by a human stranger was a typical part of his day. I was about 3 miles from home so I carried him about 1/4 mile to a friend's house whose rabbit I've cared for over vacations. Needless to say, they were rather shocked to see me in their doorway at 7am, soaked in sweat and cradling a big floppy-eared fur ball. The "dad" of the house drove me and bunny home, snickering the whole way about how it was well worth being dragged out of the house in his pajamas just to see the look on my husband's face when we showed up with the new "guest." (And he was right that my husband was 'surprised.')
We looked for Smoky's former owners by posting signs, and even placed an ad on CraigsList with Smoky's personal email address, but finally decided that he must have been an Easter present who didn't live up to the expectations of his owner (or more likely, his owner's parents). We looked for a new home for him. But truthfully, by the time we found a suitable family I was way too attached to give him up. Smoky is not exactly the ideal pet for super-fastidious types -- his appetite for antique art books and electrical cords has required some very creative pet-proofing. And he occasionally wanders off and plants himself in strange places (we've found him peering out of the log-holder in the fireplace, and sometimes peeking out of the window of the dryer). But he was easily litter trained and he's the perfect combination of sweet and adventuresome.
That's his life story as far as we know it -- full of carrots and mischief. But we do sometimes wonder about his mysterious past.
That's a great story. He sure has found a wonderful home with you!

Great Story! Thanks for sharing--it's easy to see how you could get attached. Find him some cheaper Art Books to chew on though...^_^
Funny, Columbus isn't much of a chewer for a rabbit. Never has been....
Columbus is such a great name. As for cheaper books, we did try throwing an old Stephen King novel in his cage, but he showed no interest. Apparently he's a snob when it comes to literature...
LOL! Put the expensive literature on the top shelf! :-)

Smoky is adorable! What a nice story! A good animal rescue really makes my day!! Thanks for telling us about Smoky and his great new home.
