I know these are captives, but the enclosure was really cool and they were flying right above and around our heads.

European Starling dressed in winter gear.

I know they aren't very well liked but, look at the colors! and they were cracking me up with their hoots and whistles. So cute. we were feeding them peanuts in the parking lot where we ate our lunch.

Love the owl/747 pic Gary. My 2 hobbies together!
Sweet pic of the dee, CBL.
Still waiting to see a creeper.

Nice, shan
You know what is strange. I have tons of starlings all over the place now (in trees). I can hear all those whistles and stuff too, but they aren't coming to the feeders right now. Interesting. They are coming for water, but that's it!

Forgot to tell you all I loved the pictures. I've never heard of an Inca Tern-very interesting.

I love the noise of the Starlings and they don't ever bother my feeder.

Nanny, great photos, all of them.

I read that a hummingbird can stick its tongue out as long as its beak's length. I think this about proves that.

This bird looked like it was catching some rain on the tongue.

Tremendous shots everyone. It is a gray day here, so most of my pics are not that great. I did get a few shots of the Hummingbird.

Great pics, everyone. I think Mourning Doves may not be as colorful as some birds but I just love their coloring.
