made a batch of biscuits and gravy and have bacon and scrambled eggs this morning and some Oj for those of you that stayed up late last night and need an extra eye opener this morning.

Can't wait for the sun to get up, gonna be a fairly warm and nice day. Thinking about heading oput to the market and seeing what folks got for sale today. I love flea markets. Hoping maybe I cna find a small wood stove cheap. Ya just never know.

Wind is supposed to be down today and so maybe I can try and get some sticks and leaves burned and all these hickory nut shells from the squirrels so I can quit roller skating on top of them.

Don't know why , but woke up thinking today was friday morning instead of saturday and just realized I missed P. Allen Smith. he comes on at 4:30 in the morning here, so gotta get up early if I want to watch it. Some days I wish I had cable.

If I not mistaken and remember right from somebody think tonight is when we turn the clocks. Make a little note if ya need to be somewhere important in the morning .

Time to get a litle somethign done. Will catch up with ya all for a late morning coffee break. Hope its a good day for everybody!

It did get cold here last night it’s a whopping 27 degrees here this morning, but it looks like a reasonable day ahead with sun and highs in the 50’s. I gotta get out there and finish hauling the garden stuff down to the shed when it warms up.

Morning guys and gals. We have very few Trick N Treaters last night...maybe around 30. Most were in groups. Hey, has anyone ever performed a trick instead of giving a treat? I thought of trying that but then I think the kiddies would cry.

When I was having a herniating disk I ended up with a crushed Siatic nerve. The disk was removed, but pain remains. I had an MRI a year ago and you could clearly see the nerve all inflamed and angry looking, even though it's been 10 years since the disk was removed. I've been thinking about getting the shots .... but always hear mixed reviews.

It always helps my sciatic nerve to get the shot! Relief even for a little while is great!

I have a bad back also, and I was not impressed with the shots, they hurt like you know what? and they did not work. But my Doc was a jerk too, so that did not help. I went for a second opinion, had back surgery, and still have pain. He has suggested that I have the pain pump put in, but still thinking about that? The pain still exist, because he told me, the nerves are like a rubber bands, when stretched out for so long, and will not retain the original shape. So the pain is something I deal with on a daily basis. Some good days, some not so good. Sometimes a heat pad feels good, other days an ice pack feels good. Just don't over do the lifting.

Hello Everyone and Thank you all for the warm welcome.

It is nearly 2 PM and I am only getting to my emails etc. I had to update my eBay store and this morning after the family farm breakfast (from McDonalds today- burp) we all went out in the trees and put big red bows on all the Christmas trees facing the roads. The big sign went up and the family of deer is up in the baby tree field. The advertising is all done and all we do now is wait until people start to come in to tag their trees. That is what I will be doing from this day on most every day. The Military families are great for tagging and then they come and cut it and party with us closer to Christmas. This is really one big party from Thanksgiving until Christmas. Fun but by the end of the day before Christmas when you are tired and ready to sit, someone comes in for a tree because their fake tree would not work. We end up going out in the field with flashlights to save some kids Christmas. It has warmed up today Thank God.

Tonight we go back to standard time also. I will be mixed up again for days. I hate when the times change.

This group is such fun. I must reschedule some time so I can be sure to read all the posts. I can not wait to get to know you all better.

I am sitting here with three brugs and itching to buy more but space is a problem. My greenhouse has red and yellow holly cuttings , eucalyptus babies in flats for next Spring, Christmas Cactus, Spider plants and Jasmine Sambac Maid of Orleans cuttings...I was completely sold out of the 3" pots a few weeks ago, Passion flowers, Bead Plants and bougainvillea.oh yes and a few straggly orchids. That is all in addition to my other species of stock jasmine plants that are not ready to cut yet. I am filled to the brim just now.

I still have eucalyptus to harvest and dry and bunch to sell at Christmas Time.In fact, I must go take what is cut out of the glycerine and bunch it and hang it today if I ever get away from this computer.

JB don't you dare try to put it off on us that you are 80 years old! Honey you don't look a day over 65!!!!! I know people in their 50's that look older than you! You are just beautiful, and so is your family. All those pretty red matching coats! Oh I would love to be there and help you during this wonderful season, what a great joy it must give you. I have artificial now, but when I was growing up, every year after Thanksgiving dinner, my family would load up and go to our old homeplace land and cut down a cedar tree. Then that night we would decorate it. Such good memories, as I know you are making for your customers!

I would love to shop with you on Ebay sometime. DMail me please and let me know your username. I have a Eucalyptus tree in my backyard and it is the ugliest tree ever, LOL! It is probably 30 ft. tall, thin, and leans, and is "spindly", only sparse branches at the top, none you can reach. I planted it a few years ago, so it is young.

Busy day, work this weekend and catering sausage chili (18 qts) and three batches of jalepeno cornbread tonight. The last batch is in the oven now and the chili has been cooking all day, so my house smells good and its making me hungry....

In between working and cooking, Keith and I got outside and rearranged the "greenhouse". Now, ya'll know it's not a greenhouse just the garage, but that is what he is calling it now. He fixed up more shelves for me and really investigated what I brought home from the RU. He had looked at it, but not each and every plant. He cannot believe what all I got. And the brugs I cut last week had Nubbies! I am so excited! Also, they have lost leaves but so far they are holding onto the buds and they are still growing... hope I can get them to bloom.

What a great looking bunch, JBerger! I just can't believe you are 80 yearss old. You do more work in one day then I think I do in one week. I'm so surprised how many of us older gals and guys communicate by computer. I was scared to death of one a few years ago and now wonder how I got along without it. DG has got me back on the road to plants and crafts again and for that I am thankful I'm kept busy again.

My goodness... I go out for a lil while and I come back and see you all sitting around in the living room!!..lol... it's a nice feeling...

Mary... my herniated disks are the same ones that were herniated back in 76.. which I had surgery for... If the injections might help.. go for it. Anything is better than being in pain!!
Linda Kay... I am very surprised your Dr asked you about a pain pump for you.... Usually Dr reserve that procedure for terminal cancer patients, and people that have had multiple surgeries.. I think I would investigate your DR.!!!!... I am very hardheaded and do what I have to do.. regardless of the weight, or anything else... but like I said .. I have to do what I have to do..lol

Audrey... this series hasn't helped me a bit, but with Ike coming through and me having to cancel in order to go to the last RU.. the nusre said it was too far apart from each injections..but they have never helped more than 8 weeks, or so... and have never helped my sciatic nerves, so you are lucky!!

It was nice here today; it got a little warmer then was expected. I got some more of the disaster cleaned up, bit by bit but it’s looking better. It is amazing how much crap you can cram into an 8x10 shed. Time to do some inside yard work; I’ve been the undomesticated goddess today, leaving a mess in my wake all day long.

We got a little rain, but not enough to make the flowers happy. Started to sprinkle today, but just a few drops here and there. At least it stayed a little cool, have to go out and water my brugs since mother nature wouldn't do it for me.

well, I had to poor the water out of my brug pots! we really did get drowned today ! but I am loving it! everything will look so fresh and clean....once it ever stops! lol!

Hello.. everyone... just got back from town.. made the usual run at Walmart... and Lowes. Went to get the shop lights and plastic and were out of the lights. Got them at Walmart $3 cheaper...YAY..got a Mrs. Smith cherry pie.. sounded good, and she always makes it just the way I like it...lol.. quick and easy...
Donna.. did you get all the plants in your shed?? Lyle just told me the 5 day forecast had next week.. the lows.. get this... the LOW's in the 60's... no typo there..lol... Lyle thought I should go ahead and put the plants in our shed, and I told him I'd wait till Mon. or Tues. Glad I am waiting..lol.. might not have to put them in there just yet
