Beck, no plants in the shed here, they would freeze to death, get’s too cold in the winter. The shed is stuffed with garden tool and pots. Lots and lots of pots, there are so many I refuse to count them. I live in the “land o rocks” so hard to dig anywhere that I put most of the annuals in pots and spread them around. Glad you got your lights; I’ve been to WM twice and forgot to look at them, oh well there is always next week.

Clemen, I had to bring you back, what would we do without our resident “good” witch. I see you were causing trouble again last night!!! Glad Drea got home okay and you did not have to wait up all night.

Good to hear it finally rained in southern CA, I here it never rains there, or was that just a song from the 60’s. Anjl sounds like you and Cissy got a flood, Pegi sorry your area did not fair so well.

Tammy glad you had a few minutes to pop in sorry I missed ya. I went in to watch a movie and of course the movie ended up watching me. Hope you get those burggies to root.

Karen did you decide on your weapon of choice, the garden hose sound tough. Oooooooooh need stay away from you tee hee. I’m still undecided on the ornament exchange, lots of appointment next week and so much that still needs doing outside before winter sets in. I don’t remember the deadline so I will wait and see if I can get something done in time.

Checking in while I’m typing away (love this DSL, I could not do that on dial up), I see Linda Kay has popped in for coffee. Sorry you had a bad night, hope you feel better today. I do have that receipt for the pumpkin bread somewhere, I’ll see if I can dig it up.

I need to perform some miracles this morning, have to be at the church by noon. Somehow I need to turn this wretched mess into a beautiful Nana for Aidan’s christening. (Sure do wish I could get my fairy godmother to stop in for a visit) It’s going to take a lot of fu fu to do that. I’ll get some pix to post of the little darling in his adorable garb, not promising any with Nana because she will not be shining today.

We had a lot of H&H’s MIA yesterday, hope all is well. Have a fantastic Sunday everyone.

Ah ha, DG is now on Eastern Time, I like that

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Morning Karen, I crossed with ya. I’m going to need the ship date before I can commit to the exchange.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Louisy Weesy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back hon, we've sure missed you! How've ya been? Sheesh I thought I slept until 6:00 only to remember it's 5:00....Donna pass me a black, and the pumpkin bread smells divine! The must ship by date will be November 24.

Clemen go to the dollar store and buy you a little cheapie tabletop tree and have a hottie ornament tree in your bathroom or something, ROTF! I know you said your tree was already full of ornaments so there is your solution!

buenas dias, me hermanans... good morning the Hottie Coffee smell woke me up!
*yawn* hey I signed up for the ornament swap.. ya fergot my name on there! sheesh..
mmm pumpkin bread.. Hi there Louise! GM Donna, hugs Karen... going up to get my robe its' cold down here!

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Morning! Thank you for the coffee and bread. A welcome snack this cold morning. Was too cold to get up and light the furnance and now I shivering here. Think it warmer outside than inside.

Realized when I got on computer that I forgot to set clock back too and man, I could have slept an hour longer, doubt I would have cuz I a morning riser and shiner, but would have been nice to know I could have done it. Now i'll either have to work an hour longer or get an extra hour of sleep and hope it wil be the sleep tonight.

Forgot who it is now, but that terrible that you had to lose your job cuz of the back pain. Could they not have found you something else to do or give ya at least shorter shifts.

Karen, still tryign to decide on this ornament thingy, not very creative like some of the folks here. What kind astuff did ya all get last year, to give me an idea of what it like, if ya don't mind.

Got lots to do today and gonan have to try very hard to try and stay off Dg today and get stuff done. I know I won't be able to stay off for long, but maybe I can just peak quick and escape without sitting down and drinking cup after cup of coffee. I doubt it, but gonna try any ways.

Hope everybody has a good day!!!!!!!

Hi Bonnie and Debra and all, have a great Sunday. Love, Clem

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Bonnie, I would be glad to spend a day with you making ornaments. what fun! a craft get together! I have tons of stuff here for making ornaments, sequins, beads, lace, styrofoam balls all sizes, pins, jewels, tiny flowers.. all the stuff my MOM used to use she gave me..

I hosted a Craft Xmas make things night a few years back and had a comp conference room at the confort inn and I had a huge turn out all of us gabbing and making things.. we made oil bottles, ornaments, pins, bracelts, sachets, gosh alot! It was fun!
Got a huge roast in the crock pot with home grown tomatoes, parsely, chives, onions, and two kinds of peppers for seasoning.. adding baby new potatoe and carrots and squash cubes later..
DH made big breakfast rolls, and a batch of cookies from my frozen cookie dough already white choc macadamia nut.. will pass them around as soon as they cool!
DH is in a great mood this am.. we went to see Tropical Thunder last night it was a hoot.. then stopped off at my sons place on way home to visit him.. his place needs plants! :)
Guess I better git over there this spring and doll his place up! He brought my patio table down here and it looks like my backyard down here in the basement LOL
( edited because I can't seem to type as well as I think)

I'm having bad luck rooting some brugs! They're rotting in the water, sand I did it exactly like I did it before! One rotted all the way to the water, but below the waterline there's a limb coming out, so I'm gonna put it in dirt!

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Mornin H&H's!! Gorgeous day here... welll so far since I just got up.....
Donna... I won't need much coffee since I drink coffee flavored milk..lol.. OK.. are your plants in the basement..I get you H's mixed up...lol.. you won't have to worry, you'll be shining like a new bride... you are a beautiful girl!!
WEESSSSSEEEEE... bout time you got back to us.. you have NO idea how much you have been missed!!!
Bonnie.. glad to see you too... yep.. I was planning to make 12 too... but I went to Dollar Tree here, and only got 5 of what I want to make... oh me.. gotta find another Dollar Tree!! FAST..lol
Pegi... Ike popped off the top of one of my brugs.. I made 3 lil cuttings... so that was back when...??? Sept. 14th.. I think. 2 cuttings are full of roots and barely showing leaves.. 1.. the teeny tip... has roots and is starting leaves under the water. It was an experience with it not even being 2" long..lol... but it's doing better than the larger cuttings.. go figure.. I bet yours are fine!!
Cissy.. at least the witching hour is a good time to check in..lol... no one is posting about then..lol
Ella.. what did you find yesterday.. anything good??
Debra.. I'll be over for supper about 6:00...mmnn that sounds good!!
Clemmie... I'll have to mail you a bag of wet noodles.. then you'll have them on hand..lol.. she is smilling and having a good time..
Dana.. there is no one great fertilizer.. the best is a 20-20-20 balanced fertilizer.. then the rest is up to you.. and what you think is best for your plants. We are sooo different in the zones that what works for one H.. might not work as well for another H.. lots of trial and error, is what brings experience..listen at me... one of the "lone" brug owners with only my first blooms...lol...jmo
Karen... mornin girl...

TTYL... I am getting up and doing a lil goddessing..lol.. my bro... PROMISED he's coming to see Momma... we'll see.. but it still gives me a good excuse to do something..since I am missing church waiting on them...

Heber Springs, AR

where do u hotties find this 20-20-20 fertilizer. i can't find it here.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Mornin! Yumm coffee! Clemen you know you wanna do the ornament swap! I am doing it although I don't think I am making anything. I am gonna "find" some. I am using my inlaws wireless slow poke puter.

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

20-20-20 was available at Lowes the last time I was there. I'm still using the Miracle Grow with the lower middle number myself. I didn't take very good care of things this past summer. I meant to though ......

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Well I will not be making any ornaments EITHER! the store sounds good to me, lol!
Hi Mary

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

The store always sounds good to me Clemen ...... only for the unselfish reason of keeping our slow economy going. LOL Believe that, and I've got a bridge to sell you.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Takin a break from that goddessing,..hate that mess...lol

MG Bloom Booster is 20-20-20--- I think... The Shultz is 10-54-10.. that is the best.. I am out and can't find it around here.... I have also read that you can double up on your fertilizer to get the appropriate number.. just haven't tried that.. I ahve gave an extra helping of MG.. the regular, and it seemed to be ok... din't hurt any of the plants..hope this helps.. as I say... I can't get blooms..lol.. so I don't know what I am doing.. but I have read a lot, and listen to Bonnie, as much as my mind will let me..lol

Good Afternoon People!

I was up before my flock this morning because of the time change. I had the bills paid and some paperwork done before 9 a.m. I even made it to Mass today. Yahoo!

Karen, the instructions I have for the euc trees is that you should always take your cuttings from the top because they have a tendency to get top heavy if you cut off the bottom. Also, you should never transplant them once you put them in the ground.

Pegi, you are right about older people being afraid of the computer. I learned the hard way. I took a job at a Standardbred Horse Breeding Farm back in the 80's and I was the only woman on the farm. The boss decided he wanted me to set up a new record systerm and he wanted it on computer. I didn't even know what a computer looked like. I soon found out and that is when I learned how to use one. Before I left there every office and the lab had computerized programs. It was fun. I would never be able to survive without one now.

You are all very sweet about how I do not look like 80 years old. I work very hard for someone my age, but I have always worked long hours.I was raised in a small country town. I was taught from a child, that no matter how much money you have, you work hard and as long as you can. I do not smoke (gave that up when I was with the American Cancer Society), I drink wine and/or gin daily but only after 4 P.M. My limit is 2 drinks. I eat healthy but cheat with pizza and french fries at least once a week. I really think my sense of humor keeps me young. I love to have fun and laugh. I go to bed when it gets dark and get up at dawn. Bird and Horse Breeding more or less got me into that habit. I also take vitamins and minerals and fiber and see a chiropractor once a month to keep my sciatic nerve in place and my neck straight. Isn't that wild?

I fell over the wagon handle and into the greenhouse back in June and just finished Physical Therapy on my right arm. I never went to the doctor until August, when I found I could not lift my right arm and it was not getting any better. I went for x-rays, nothing was broken but there was some damage and I would need an MRI to see what it really is. I told them to forget it. NO MRI for me..I am clostrophobic (is that how you spell that?) So, I went directly to PT. I don't do doctors well at all and never will.

Clemen, I love the picture. Is that the daughter you worry about? She looks like she has a good head on her shoulders and she seems to enjoy healthy sports. Worrying about kids is one thing you never outgrow. I still worry about mine and my baby is 51 year old.

I have been informed we need 24 more bows for the trees. I knew that would happen.
So, I must go and make bows now. You all have a great day and be good to yourselves
Thank you all again for the nice comments. Hugs. JB.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

I forgot to tell you. The lady who gave me the NOID brug told me to feed it with Tomato Fertilizer, so that is what I use and boy it loves it. I have no clue what the numbers are on it but it comes in a big bag and is easy to apply. Now I am going for sure. Bye.

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi Hotties,

Finally have some time to relax. Also have the Upper respiratory crud. I did get two desert rose and five MG seeds planted this am though.

I have enjoyed everyone's pics. Welcome to the new Hotties. This forum is informative and fun. Can't beat that. I pray that those of you who are hurting or sick will get better real soon.

I have three pics I'd like to share with everyone. They are the views I so enjoy from my house. Our Fall colors aren't as vivid as New England's but they are pretty just the same. We aren't at our peak yet so they will intensify just a little more.

The first pic is looking outside my sunroom. My cherub pink brug is in the foreground in a pot. Now I have dial up so it will be awhile in between pics. Bear with me and I hope you enjoy them.

Hi Jb, Anjil, Beck, Donna, Jeanne, Clemmen, everyone..came in for a break.. got the cannas, caladium and dahlia bulbls up and in bags for the garage, also brought in my tow beautiful roses in their pots as I want them down here with me, since they are fully loaded with blooms again..the BBQ was great DH did a bang up job, the DD's set the table and had everything ready to go so I could keep working up til lunch.. they are both chillin beofre they leave me we are going to DG and Dollar store for stuff???
DS is in KC again for the chiefs game will he ever learn?? LOL.. missed him at meal time.. *sniff*
Anywayz, brough in all the plumbago alba and imperial blue since I lost them last year not taking chances as well as the cestrum elegans and the cestrum nocturn, and potted up four small pots of MG vines and Ground glorys.. got all the different marigold flowers into bags ripening ( wow! sorted!) the begoinias in the pots are in now.. *sigh* I am tired and not finished out back yet... someone better have me on that ornament list or I am gonna pitch a fit! o'v'o Debra

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh Debra, I am pooped just reading all you've done. You go girl.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

I am supposed to be working, but couldn;'t resist, popping in for a quickie break. If I stay more than five minutes, somebody boot me back out. LOL

Texas grower, what a lovely view. Wanna trade. Got lots of weeds here and you can't look out the front hardly anymore cuz the neighbor built him a winter shelter for hisplants and the sun hits and angles off of it and blinds you when you try and look out the door.

I love fall when it not to hot and not to cold out, love to just sit and listen to the birds and critters scurryign aroudn getting themselves and their homes ready for winter.

Joeswife, do the butterflies flock to the white plumbago the same like they do for the blue? Seems like a gardenrs work is never done huh. You got alot accomplished to day lots more than me so far.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, send her a d mail, so she knows you want on the ornament swap
