We are still chatting on our 'How About March?' thread here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/896968/ but I wanted to be sure everyone knows about this since the date is set.

We'll be meeting on March 14 at our home Breezedale, which is in Bonsall - 10 miles inland from Oceanside - 10 a.m. to whenever. Easy access from either the 5 or 15 freeways and I will send detailed directions to attendees ahead of time.

When I was young that was my absolute favorite color. Mom would even ice my birthday cake that color of green! Still love it, but I tend to take on the color, so I can't wear it anymore. LOL!

I'm glad you liked the little green carnation. I was surprised it has first survived and second, that it started blooming again a few weeks ago. Your Mom was sweet to let you have green icing, what a great memory of your Mom, too!
My eyeballs are burnt out, not really, but they feel like they are going to fall out of my head. I just finished my voting for the photo contest. It's a marathon and so many good entries to choose from. Rest your eyes often, keep slices of fresh cucumber at hand for when they get swollen, and don't forget to vote.

*snif*....I just found out that I won't be able to attend this party.....WAAAAAA...

I just talked to Amy and her ship will be "at sea" on that date....they will be returning the next DAY!

Thanks for the wishes SW...but I won't get to see Amy...I had planned to stay with her when I got to San Diego...but her ship will be out to sea...and so I can't stay at her house....well...I guess I could...but it will be all closed up until the 15th...when her ship returns to port.

Okay, I won't besides it the perfect excuse to make lemon bars and not be tempted to eat them all.

I'm being very good about not eating sweets even though lemon bars are one of my favorite things, so if I don't eat any, there be some left for everyone else.......if I had one bite, I'd eat them all.......

Way too much competition, you'd have to steal them out of kanita's car before she brought them in. LOL!

It's getting close to the date and a few people haven't posted to the Food thread http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/916800/ with what they're bringing.

We could probably use another dessert - that's an easy one!

hiya guys,

I'll be coming, for sure. Pam will be in Mexico City looking at horses and I chose not to go this year in favor of this marvelous opportunity to see the J&K gardens in person. I don't know what I'll bring as I haven't been much of a gardener since the loss of balvenie, but I'll figure something fun out and it'll probably be sweet since it is spring after all.

Hope to see a bunch of you at KaperC's!
