Great photos, everyone. This photo is sort of a change of pace. If you can't find a 'live' bird do the best you can.
Rather than tear down this old deteriorating tree someone turned the trunk into a work of art. It's located near the entrance to the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, MD.
Daily Pics No. 148
Thanks Pelle, I thought it might be a male as it was darker than Mrs. Eds!
Dave...thank you and yes I am very familiar with the Camdenton/Lake of the Ozarks area. It is beautiful there and we spend lots of time aimlessly driving around the area!
Linth...tell the truth...did you sneak up on that trunk to get that great shot? LOL!
Adel...so that's where all my Robin's are!!
Nanny...finally had a few Goldfinches at the feeders yesterday...here is a long shot I took just to ID!!
Nice everyone! Very windy here today, so I'm not going to go birding!
ha! That last one really shows what you mean by looking in all the nooks and crannies
or what the winds blow OUT! We heard a huge thump today and the basement window well cover went flying out of the yard. We lost power for 2 hours because a tree blew down on some lines somewhere.
Pelle: I laughed out loud at your ducking Red-Belly.
Dellrose: I gasped at your flying one. Wow! ..and then Dave's, too!
I've been lurking, but not posting. Been crazy busy and I'm waiting for a "new" bird. :)
The sparrows are just now starting to come back to the feeders, and I'm expecting the Goldfinches to return soon. Hope so anyway. I doubt I'll see a Junco til January.
Wonderful pics, all!
Deb
eeek those vultures are very alfred hitchcock!
Just lurking and checking out the great bird shots. I haven't been shooting any bird pics lately - doing lots of landscape work which include those bushes that's bird friendly.
