Looks like he is having a ton of fun.
۞ Lingernot/Staynot Gladomeer ۞ #7
You're missing the little man huh, Pegi? He has that certain gnome charm that will leave a lasting impression on anyone he meets.
Pixie you have a gorgeous garden! It's no wonder so many gnomes chose to live with you..
You do right by not letting him sleep outside. So many of us getting the 'cruds'.. sure don't want him to resort to a pint!
The Rat Girls are waiting for him. They said he can sleep with them. They promise not to nibble on him.
What a wonder Lingernot is having Pixie and me too!
Yes, I miss the little guy, but I know he is having a great time. So many friendly gnomes to meet, I'm sure he will have great memories of his visits. Then he has so much more traveling to do and I'm sure he will enjoy that.
Oh what a relief to see Lingernot out and about. I have worried since he left here if the "no good gnome" that dropped in one night had left any bad effects on him. Guess not. What a relief. Tell him hello from his Auntie in the south.
When asked about the 'no good gnome', he says he would rather look to the future..... and regarding the Rat Girls, have you ever seen a gnome blush??? His little apple cheeks got rosy red!
I had to go and visit a friend today and the visit would have been a bit of a downer for Lingernot as the friend is ill and would not have shown him a good time. He chose to go out to the boat with my DH, Mike, and look around. He said it was his first time on a boat and he had no idea how big they were. Mike took his photo looking off the bow of the boat. He had many questions about the anchor, in particular the kind of metal it is made from. I guess they were 'man talking'.
Mike gave Lingernot an opportunity to ride around in Puddler, our little rowboat Mike built. This is more Lingernot's size, but still, he felt it was 'unstable'. The blue cushion is Mike's idea of a life preserver for gnomes.
More fun stuff planned as the days go by. I'll try not to wear him out too much.
Heavenscape, I hear you about his 'resorting to a pint'! Last year I had some trouble with the younger gnomes in the clan hitting the hops a little too hard. Our friends Hans and Franz were part of that crowd. I was disappointed to see that they were up to their tricksey ways trying to get Lingernot all wet.
Since he likes tropical plants, I'll have to see what I can find to amuse him.
Pixy.....You and Mike are showing him a fine time in the PNW!! Sorry about the sick friend, but Mike filled in very well for you. It is good for Lingernot to have a man on man conversation from time to time.
On the pond discussion before...guess I was thinking about TXMel, she had that system about the time she came to visit you.
I also have a very friendly tree with a lovely face that is so happy to see that he will be visiting us. Her little leaves are all shaking in anticipation or from the cold I am not sure which or maybe both. :)
shaking in anticipation....LOL
Looks like Lingernot is having a fantastic time up at Pixy's house. I told the gang yesterday that he will be visiting us next. We are trying to get the fall pruning done and the yard cleaned up before his arrival. Not an easy task when it has been raining. Sure hope the weather improves while he visits. Does he have rain gear?
BeaHive, he is a very understanding young man. He visited me right about our bout with Faye and he was most sympathic about the things needing to be done. He even offered to help by jumping on the debris pile so it wouldn't be so high!!
Good to know. Not sure if I can get all the work done before he gets here! I have a new rose bed to work on. Hope he likes digging holes and getting muddy. :)
Well he didn't dig any holes while he was here but after the 22" of rain--he did get a wee bit muddy. I cleaned him up so he was okay.
Wow, it looks like Lingernot is having a wonderful time in WA! His itinerary has him headed up and down the west coast for a bit…funny how that happened. He might indeed be in for a soggy time of it, as we’re finally getting rain here in CA too.
Love those pretty leaves! We've had a colorful fall...
Lingernot will be going to Silverton and be only a few miles of "home", LOL!
Wow... Lingernot will be headed down the California Coast here shortly.... looks like we will have to show him a good time in both Northern Cali (Sunny) and Sounthern Cali (me- lissa) I already have a request from my DH to bring him out to work with him one day to do a bit a telephone pole climbing!!
Wooohoooo Lingernot exercising his American rights!!
You go Pixie!!
I wish I could have traveled with Lingernot, he is having such a good time. Staying on the west coast for a while is a good thing. Just a little rain here and some sunshine now. Hope he isn't afraid of heights, climbing a telephone pole will be quite an adventure for him.
I am sure Lissa's DH will put a safety harness around Lingernot, or piggy back him.
Such high heights.. we'll be praying on the ground for sure, right Pegi?
Awwww..... safety first when climbing a tele pole.... believe me, I try not to think about how high those things are when Todd climbs them all day!! He will be very well taken care of, especially at such a high height, pinky promise ;o)
Can't get better than a pinky promise!!!!!
Pinky promise it is! Feel better already. Have fun Lingernot!!
Melissa I don't know about that climb. He might be afraid of heights like I am and barf all over your hubby. :)
Pinky promise... I promise to still pray for Lingernot's and your DH's safety, Lissa ^_^
LOL!! Oh geez, I hope he doesn't get sick up there!! And no worries ya'll Todd has been climbing telephone poles since he was 18 so just about 20 years now. I can have him stay home instead if anyone is worried he will be broken. I can just about gaurantee that won't happen, but JLMK if anyone is not okay with it...I'll understand :o)
Let him climb the pole with DH, I'm sure he will be safe and secure. I'll just watch from the ground, heights don't agree with me either. I think it will be one great expeience for Lingernot to share with all his future buddies in his travels.
Prayers work, Lissa. Lingernot will have all the fairies with him, and don't forget, his companion angel will be looking out for him too!
He must try new things.. and Todd's experience has calm me down some... plus the Bailey's :D
Go Lingernot!!! You can do it little guy ;-)
Yah!! Go Lingernot.. (hic)
Have fun little man! ^_^
The fairys will protect you for sure so: Go for it Lingernot!!!!
What say you Mama Beth?? Pretty please...
Go ahead and climb the pole! Mama used to be a skydiver so we are not afraid of heights in his clan!
The Matriach has spoken.. wow... sky diving!!
That's one sport I'd like to do before I leave this earth.
