Spooks and ghosts and weeping ladies...oh my! Pt 3

That is a scary dream, and I have to go to bed now! How detailed. I would have had a cow when I saw those two movies also. My Goodness!

Ok, the neatest thing happened this evening at WalMart. We go there about every once a week and there is this older looking gentleman who works in the evenings in the produce department. He has helped me a couple of times when I couldn't find bags for my veggies and stupid what-not like that. I haven't seen him in quite a while. This evening we went walking through and I saw his friendly smile and I smiled back, like I always do, but for some reason looked really hard at his name tag this time, his name is Odas. My grandfather's name was Odas spelled the same exact way, I have never seen Odas spelled this way in my life. I just wanted to hug the man but Dave was in a hurry so I walked away. Dave thought I was nuts letting that affect me the way it did and teased me about hitting on another man, but hey! Hopefully the next time I see him Dave won't have to go to work and won't be in such a hurry, or better yet won't even be with me.

ROFL, Crissy! I don't blame you a bit, though.

(Zone 7a)

Silly Dave doesn't know a good opportunity to make a new friend, does he? LOL

That is so neat! You should go back to meet him. I would be shocked to see anyone who had my GF's name. It was so unique.

Crissyr, did you tell him your gps name was the same as his. It would probably make his day. I do miss having older people in my life.

I have had something very interesting happen to me the last couple of nights. I was thinking about the idea of making yourself "dream" about something or someone so I started trying it again (I used to do this long ago). I had a friend who died about 12 years ago...I'll call him Bart. I pray for Bart all the time but only in a half hearted - hurried way. So, the last couple of days while I'm doing my mosaic in my bathroom (its really a tedious - boring job) I have really prayed for him AND talked to him a lot - in a way as if he is there beside me. Because I don't believe life never stops it is easy for me to feel that there are others around us all the time. Anyway, when I went to bed at night I'd lay there and think about him and really wish the best for him, etc.

Well, I had a dream about him two nights in a row now!! Thursday night we were dancing to "Singing in the Rain". I was teaching him how to kick his legs out like Gene Kelly did in the movie and we were laughing and having so much fun. I woke up with my legs really kicking around in the bed...lol! He seemed to be celebrating something - he was so happy. Last night I dreamed about him again but it wasn't very happy and I couldn't remember much when I woke except that I was glad I woke up.

I believe when we pray for those who have passed it helps them go further into peace...maybe just a crazy thought but that is what I believe. Maybe he was happy and dancing with me because I "connected" with him again and lifted some of the burden from his shoulders??? Hope so.

Dave is the original Chatty Cathy and will walk into a room and make tons of friends. He's so friendly he will befriend himself!

LOL Speaking of, last Friday (not last night but the Friday before) I met him in Hot Springs at our little hang out for dinner and it's right across the street from the horse race track. There's this jockey who comes in and we talk to him a while, you know. Well Friday we were walking out to our cars, he was coming in and we all stopped in the middle of the lot to shake hands, when Dave turned the other way the jockey planted one right on me! I thought it was cute, let it go and didn't say anything. Well, last night same thing, but we were already there and he came in, spotted us and walked over. Dave said hello and shook his hand, the jockey looked right at me, said, "Hi Babe" and planted one right on the smacker! Now I'm grounded!

Yes, my grandfather's name was identical to his "Odas"

When I said to make a new friend, Crissy, that isn't what I meant! LOL Poor Dave. he's so put upon... ☺

I'd say "Bart" knows you care, that's why he was so happy.

I think my mom's dog had a seizure. She said her husband was outside with him and he came in the house and said, "Connie, your dog is having a problem." So she went outside and he was laying down shaking all over, his eyes were half closed and watering but not rolled back in his head, and his heart rate was sky high. I told her to take him to the vet Monday and she's fighting me about it saying, "But it might not ever happen again, if that's what happened. He's only 5 years old," and every other reason in the book to not take him. He's a very in-bread 5 year old Beagle.

Crissy, It feels good to dream of someone who has passed on. I am sure Bart knows you are thinking about him.

Bummer on your Moms dog having the seizure. My little Picabo has had seizures all of her life. Our Vet says seizures are common in her breed (she is a Japanese Chin). She knows when she's going to have one and comes to me so I can hold her while she is having it.

Be careful around that Jockey. LOL

Chin's are adorable dogs. I'll bet she's a sweetie.

Crissy – your DH sounds like mine. He knows no strangers. Everyone talks to him and tells him the most personal information. He’ll tell me what someone said and I’ll put my hands over my ears “lalalalalalalala TMI”! He’s not a blabbermouth though. He’ll only tell me and I let it go straight through the other ear. I don’t wannna know some of this stuff LOL!

So you’ve got a jockey on the side LOL! That’s hysterical! How is Connie today?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I haven't talked to her yet today, I'm sure they're at breakfast right now. I'll probably talk to her around 1 or so. She said she was going to stay up all night to watch over Scout, I'm wondering how long she lasted lol!

Oh, I hate it that animals have seizures! I used to, but had surgery for it. I know how awful the poor things feel.

Kwan, care to start a new thread? I would, but with the dampness here, my dialup is giving me fits. When I can connect, I get slooow speeds (9.6 kbps now, LOL), and get disconnected frequently. Thanks!

Celia's a/k/a Kwanjins modem just went down. I'm trying to find out how long she'll be off DG.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

How about I start a new thread for her?

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Sounds good to me!

New spooky thread!
