Chantell, my Charlie is blooming but the blooms are almost orange.. I'm thinking it has to do with the cooler weather.. but my oh my the scent down there by the garage door, wish I could move my bed down there! (that's a BIG TEEHEE).. AnjL and Karen still in my thoughts today... and for some reason Joyce, Joyce ya getting the rest hauled in?? Love that Plumie up there too, look at the buds!! Nice

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Ok I just got my thrill for the year, was out in the front yard working and got a "Hey Baby!" complete with guy hanging out the window as they drove by, ROTF! Remember, I live right on a 4 lane highway, hahaha! For some reason it brightened my day a little, been awhile since I got one of those...

Did we ever discover whether or not Dats come back from the ground in 8a every year or do you have to overwinter in pots or start from seeds each year? If so, I'm going to pot mine up and overwinter...I have Double purples too.

Got most of the unmentionable dirty word done and the bills paid, insert another dirty word here, LOL! No word from Lily yet. I told Bonnie last night my other two dogs didn't seem to be mourning or notice her gone but that has changed today. They are whining and looking for her everywhere and dragging her "baby" around, her toy that they never played with....sigh.......

Do any of you hotties have Ginger in the ground in area 8a or near? Do you cut them back, dig them up or what? Love you all, Karen

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Hello Hotties and Handsomes! Well, I've got to tell you... working full time and trying to get ready for a RU stinks!! Why didn't I take more time off? LOL!! Oh, well, what I get there with is what I get there with... Two days of rain and then down in the low 40s this morning did not help! My brug blossoms look like they pulled down their skirts. The "twangers" were up and twirling and now they are pointed straight down.

Okay, back to busy here. Lov ya'll Peg

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Karen, I don't know about the ginger, other than it smells so good. I started to get some from Maggies, but I don't have any place for it, till I get another area raised, and that will take a lot of convincing for hubby to do. Maybe next year.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Kim, I would love some dat seeds. You will tell me how to germinate them as I'm not that hep on growing from seed. I'm always willing to try though. Thanks for offering.

Pegi

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Whoooohooo!!! Clemen those Starfish are awesome!!! AuntB you rock!!

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Pegi they need light and warmth to germinate.so press lightly on soil and and and don't over water...hey where you live I would just sprinkle them in the spot I want them to grow : )

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks James and Chantell! Mine are Pinecone and white butterfly....I'll hack em back! haha Kim it made my day, doesn't take much to amuse me, LOL!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

:) Spreading the plant love, Hotties.. spreading the plant love! If I've made deals or promised anyone a pkg, and you haven't gotten a d-mail... I'll try to get the rest packed this weekend and in Monday's mail..

Oh, Kim I mighta tried to trade amorph bulbs for something like that at one time, but it didn't work out... Peg and Louise are the real fairies..

Clemen, so glad to bring you dancin' happy joy! :) I wanted to tell you I kept one lil piece of the starfish cactus and I shared some w/Louise at our RU so us 3 Hotties all have some now...and I need a crash course on those cactus... need to read up on them this winter and try a lil harder next year.. I think I will keep them around back where most of my other stuff is, that way I can keep a more watchful eye over them.

I had d-mailed Karen a bit ago and I told her, I could really use a cat-call whistle or something.. thought maybe I had unlikeable things printed on my back or my forehead or something.. LOL like MANHATER or HIGH MAINTENANCE or the "B" word..... cause really, I'm none of those.... just a crazy plant lady and a DG Hottie, ;) I might add.. :) Way to go, KREN!!! Be sure to "casually" mention it to Jerry ;)

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

I know Kim it is awsome and so glad Bonnie shared with me and Louise, a real nice hottie, TY again silly sis. How about your jade vine, does it bloom??? never heard of them but is sure looks pretty!

I also have tons of dat seeds just Kim, if anyoone wants. I have tripple yellow and tripple purple. I should have some single white ones too!
Karen no news from poochie???
Beckie, finish digging girl, I can't hardly believe you are meeting Peg tomorrow. Wish could be there!

OK back to preparing dinner for this hottie family, lol!

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Clemen dear I would adore some yellow Dat seeds...PUHLEEEZE???? Sugar on toppie? No, no word from Lily yet, her little picture was in the paper. More and more I believe in my heart someone has taken her in. No body, no blood on highway where she was hit, no sign of her...She ran so fast I don't think she was hurt that badly.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Hey hotties, wow busy busy kids aren't you?! Been busy needed groceries and cooked dinner and dessert and all. Love all the brug and dat pics, soo lovely. Chantell you have a very pretty brug assortment! That purple dat is very very dark how pretty! ((KIM)) so glad you got your wish, that plant is HUGE! WTG Peg or whoever did that! (Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Guys and gals I started a new thread for us....you can find it here:

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

BONNIE...BIG THANK YOU. Brugs arrived and are beautiful already even without a bloom. Wonderful box full of cuttings. I will treasure each one and next year hope to post pics. of each of them blooming. Thank you again so much.

Kim, What is a Datura? Is it anything like a Brug? Yours is beautiful..Love that color.

Hope all have had a good day and also hope your night will be better.
Love to all, Faye

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

I think datura and brugs are cousins. But have different needs... somebody help me here ; }

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

I think your right Kim that they are cousins I believe.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

They are cousins but really different. You cannot get cuttings from dats! will not do well, besides, dats go down and brugs go up!

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

I knew that ; }....ha ha ha NOT! Thanks Clemen : )
