She's about to...#27

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Morning all.

I see I was not the only one having problems last night so I’m hoping it was a DG thing. I got right on this morning so I’ll hope for the best. Beck no problem for you so it might not have been a dial up thing.

Beck, thanks yes the Chiro seems to think he can get me moving faster; my ins does not cover his visits so there goes more out of pocket funds that I have to find somewhere.

Anjl, Debra Pegi and Kim were burning the midnight oil last night. Not so late for the west coast hotties, but you central and eastern hotties were up late.

Anjl, little Sheldon does not seem to like that cone hat you bought him at the vets. Just doesn’t seem right to have to spend money on the hat and then have to get the why are you making me where this mom looks all day. He looks so cute in that pix, praying for a quick recovery for him.

Joyce, hope Mr Jack does not visit for a while yet, but I don’t think the garden fairies can hold him off much longer.

Peg, Lisa took my car in for and oil change last week, it needed an inspection sticker so she told them to go a head and inspect it. So far she has had to take it to a welder to get a pipe fixed, she went back for the sticker and they tell her it needs a new drive shaft. Bla bla bla, I do not liking my 4 wheeled buddy right now. When it rains it pours. Have a great time at the ru, you can catch up here later.

Louise, TY for the estimate, you hit it exactly. 40 per dog, I did not think that was bad because they really need some work. They looked and smelled so good when they came home with their little Halloween bandanas. They were good for her too, got all good comments on their behavior.

I see lots of hotties were watching or listening to that debate last night. No TV here so I missed it.

Waving hi to all, the list of hottes and hansoms is getting longer by the day. It is great to have everyone here, seems now there is always someone on to talk to. I love it. Have a great day.

Faye, I think you should cut it before the frost. I have heard that some turn to mush when it freezes, but I think it depends how much the frosted parts freeze. You could try covering it with a blanket too. Bonnie we got a frost here last night! So glad I brought the brugs in.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Mornin Hotties and Handsomes....

Another rainy day here... we need the rain so bad, but i still have a few plants to dig.. wouldn't you know it??..lol... I'll be out in spurts.. but I'll get it done! So glad to see everyone.. I was getting worried last night!!

anjl... when it rain it pours... get well soon!!
Donna... same applies to you girlie!!..lol.... hate it for you... but at least you have 2 sweet smelling companions to help you through..lol... Our insurance doen't pay for chiros either, so I know where you are coming from.. OUCH!!
Faye.. I am not sure about frost on the brugs, but there was a girl at the RU last Saturday that had brug cuttings with blooms on them, and they looked great.. If you go out before the sun comes up and spray water on her, the frost won't hurt her. It's the sun and frost that causes the problem
Peg.. you ready yet?? I told Lyle my lil car needs an oil change.. he is supposed to take care of it today..
Bonnie.. you lil TM you...hehehehhe
Linda Kay.. sure wish you were going to Arlington, I didn't have as much time to talk to you asi would have liked!
KIM.. I want to see another pic of that gorgeous brug bloom!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Becky, I think we all could have talked for weeks, but it was very nice to meet you all at least say hello, and get hugs!
Arlington is along way to travel after last week-end trip to Tyler. These old bones don't do that too often!!! 440 miles!
Have fun in Arlington, and drive safe.
Linda Kay

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

I am going to plant some collard greens and some broccoli and some cabbage for now.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yum, a veggie garden. That sounds good.
Linda Kay

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Good morning all! Anjl sorry you are feeling bad....Gall bladder is usually telescopic day surgery though so maybe you'll be home tonight! I'll be thinking of you.....

Linda Kay I was thinking the same thing, I liked you so much and not much time to visit with you...At least we got to know each other a little bit better ☺

Donna I just went to the Chiropractor yesterday and got a good back crackin'....I just love it. My daughter Chelsea's MIL is a deep tissue massage therapist and I can get one anytime I'd like but I have never been, can you believe that? 4 years I've known her and never taken her up on it. I need to for sure.

I have alot to do today, bills to figure, insert dirty word here, yard work so I'll be back this evening. Have a good day everyone!

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes I think so I love veggies and can not wait to grow some......LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Karen, those deep massages are so wonderful. I have a friend that does them, and about every other month or so, I call her, and I leave there so relaxed. Once you have one, you will go back! And what would we do with out our Chiropractor. My insurance covers half of the cost, better than nothing!
James I think most of us have flower gardens, but the vegetable garden sounds nice. I tried to grow tomatoes last year, and everyone here had a hard time with them. it was too hot too soon. Good luck with your veggies!
Linda Kay

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Thanks Lina kay I love veggies and hope they grow well for me.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Mornin' Glories! I have a call in to my DR. about my antidepressant. Maybe he'll get me straightened out! He said last month he wanted to do that before winter, and the holidays.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Checkin' in.. I needed a break. WOW.. I am getting nervous about getting all the RU plants in my lil Vibe!! I must have been thinking about having all the under belly of our camper..lol... I might be in trouble...hehe...

Audrey... yay.. maybe the Dr can get you straightened out on your meds.. nothing worse than depression, but at least your plants help.. right?..lol.. how's those buds a growing??
Linda Kay... I think Ms Bonnie needs to get together with some other Hotties and MAKE the Hottie and Handsome RU a reality!! A whole weekend of nothing but chatter... no plants..lol... just good ol spending time together is what I would like!! Doesn't that sound NICE??
Karen.. looks like you have a busy day.. any word?? I am still praying girl!!
James.. no collards for me..lol.. mustards and turnips...please..lol

goin back out.. the rain is holding off, but looks like it could drop out any moment.. BBL

Hi H&H's! James that garden sounds great, cabbage and brocolli, mmmmm... Turnips.... raw with veggie dip.. please. Donna, do that massage, girl.. My chiropractors massage person usually does a great job, unless they are behind or in a hurry... but my insurance helps out so a trip to the chiro is cheaper than paying for just a massage.. but I'm still paying for my toe thing and a dentist bill so my massage will have to wait. Becky you and Peg have a grand ol time at the Arlington RU...and I haven't dropped the notion of a hottie RU, just have it a bit further down on the list... cause YES, Louise, I saw frost about 15 miles north of my house on the way to work this morning... I guess it's time to bring in the brugs... I'll try to remember to take pics of before and after I trim them so you can see how I do it.. I'll leave all the buds, a few pristene blooms and you'll see. They will really be bare except for buds, blooms and seed pods.. I've had buds open on 7 ft tree like cuttings in a bucket of water, some finally opened weeks later even.. I was surprised they held, let alone went on to open.. I'm trying to gear myself that bringing the last of everything in is going to be fun... I got Wolfie's red sang brug seeds today, + etc. and I'll probably start brug seed projects after Christmas, when the cabin fever really sets in.. (might be when I get back to seriously making the Hottie RU happen, too) but I agree Becky... just a nice relaxing get together for socializing, hugging and plant talk, and of course a couple lil hottieantics ;) AnjL, hang in there girl.. we will think and wonder about you, positive thoughts and prayers.. hope it's in and out real quick and you're back here with us.. Karen, still praying for the good word on sweet Lily.. LK, I think Becky's water on the frost before the sun comes up works.. but I was the brug mommy and I could, I'd prolly put christmas lights around them and cover with old sheets.. depends on how much effort you want to exert, but I'd do it, if I didn't have too many to do and I was waiting on buds to unfurl.. if I had to do it too many days I'd finally just whack and take my chances on them opening in a bucket of water..

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Awe! Phyllis, newborn plumies!!! How adorable!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Iris, how about a Hottie shirt with the voluptuous partially clothed, body painted on them.. back and front?? lol They make em for hotties and handsomes.. ;) I've seen them in mags like "things you never knew existed".. whadda you H&H's think????

Plumies popping their little heads up, how exciting. One of these days................
Going to be hot here today, not too thrilled about that. Have to get out to check my brugs, seem to be doing OK where I set the pots, but patiently waiting to see if my cuttings will root. It hasn't been a week yet since I put them in their first "homes" so I know I'm expecting too much.

Dr. visit for a check up and first complaint on my part is back hurts when I try to get out to do yard work. Now I should take Yoga lessons, guess I will check into that. I need a strong back so I can play longer in the dirt. Getting old is not for sissies!

(dana)Owensboro, KY(Zone 6a)

lol auntb we got one like that for my dh mom . lil, yay , mine havnt sprouted yet ,

Chantell, that is one beautiful plumie. I never had one have so many blooms. Patiently waiting for a rainbow one given to me by a young gal whose husband is a gardener to bloom. I think in the spring they will be put in better "homes". I could put it in the ground but can't decide just where to put it. I have 6 plumies but only a yellow one has bloomed for me. The next street down from me there is a huge brug growing by the side of their garage and down from it is a plumie. I think I have to get acquainted with the neighbor.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

I think she will open tonight!
