Hello all, just popping in for a second. It's raining and dreary here. I'm wrapped in a blanket and gonna watch scary movies with my pups tonight. Lily is still gone, no word on her. I told Bonnie I keep thinking Oh, how she hated even 1 drop of rain or getting her little paws wet.....I hope she is safe and warm somewhere tonight....I am doing fine. I have grieved the hardest and am now recovering but I am okay. Thanks to you all for your continuing prayers and supporting me through this bad time. It has meant the world to me. My Pink Velvet started it's beautiful first bloom this week and MEM is flushing big time. I can't WAIT to see my Brug encrusted yard this time next year, LOL!
Peg got my red seeds from you today sweetie, thank you so much for your generosity. Perhaps we should pick a day and all sow them at the same time and compare methods and progress..That might be fun. I’m having pc or internet or dg problems, I have been trying to load this thread since 7 and just now got it to open all the way to the bottom. I can’t figure out what the problem is. It was a long afternoon, had company and then a trip to the Chiropractors. The weak muscles got to the back so I need to have it put in place again. All is well he fixed me up good; he is also going to do some additional electrotherapy to help the muscles get stronger. Hey what the heck, might as well give it a try. You hotties and hansoms have been real busy today on 27 and other places that I was not able to load.

So, think the internet/dg trouble has somethin to do with the debate??? Na, I don't think so.. Donna I honestly was JUST thinking about you... Get some muscles to put a couple of those brugs in the ground next year..cover with mulch.. then throw a full bag of mulch with the plastic on, over top that... maybe even some little Christmas lites somehow.. for the 0 temps.. I think it's worth a try... you are 6 now? There are reports of inground brugs returning from the roots in Missouri zone 6..

Bonnie, I am listed as 6B but so close to the ocean I am borderline 7A. I’m going to have to try the in ground thing and hope for the best. I do have some glad bulbs that I never lift planted near the foundation and they come back every year. I won’t know until I try, and those EP are huge after just one season. If they don’t make it in the ground I have to find more small ones like Cassie.

Donna, I'd be trying FOR SURE.. plant some brugs in locations where the glads are, like next to foundations and on the south sides of your house or sheds.. I wouldn't worry bout the christmas lights.. I'm getting excited for you!

Debra, 39 should be okay, is it in a pot? If she is bring her inside at night or cover her with a light breathable blanket. Glad to hear you are feeling better.
Debra, glad you are feeling better.. It will probably be okay, cover with a sheet or something and put some christmas lights around her stem (under the sheet).. but that's a lot of fuss out there in the cold dark... I really think it will be okay..

Next project a flood light between the garden room and the house, dang it is dark outside! LOL, even with a full moon. Too many varments roaming around. I know they can see me and I can't see them. Need night vision goggles....LOL Then I probably would be scared....
AuntB I think the bond out of satellite dish would be great. Only problem I can see is during the winter it might freeze solid. I put a heater in my small pond to keep the ice open for the fish. I leave the iris sitting on the waterfall all of last winter and it wasn't bothered at all. My fish aren't stupid tho, they all rose up to the heater and stayed there....LOL. DH kept unplugging it when the ice would melt off and then the fishes would have to dive to the bottom of the pond looking for warmer water.
