It was a lovely day here today. 60s for most of the day. Here's a shot looking up to the top of our meadow.......

Tomorrow looks like a pretty day for our birthday trip with our 6-year-old grandson. We're taking him up to the Vermont Institute of Natural Science to check out some raptors, etc..

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Pretty shot, Candyce! Today was just smashing driving up through Vermont. The color was absolutely peak!! The raptor show at the Natural Science Institute was so good. We saw beautiful owls, hawks, eagles and a falcon that are all being rehabilitated from injuries. I've never seen so many big birds so close up. We then wound our way down through Vermont for lunch and then ice cream before returning our DGS home with his wooden snake and squishy turtle - both selections from the VINS gift shop. Just a picture perfect day for such an adventure!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Ohhh, what an awwesome time spent with DGS. It's such fun to do things like that with little ones. I think it opens up our eyes to look at things in a different light.
DH had a camp-out in the backyard last night with one of the DGKs. It was a lot of fun. Campfire even, but no smores. A little damp in the morning - he forgot the fly over the tent. lol.

Going into the 60s. Impatience still in bloom & a couple with buds coming--stay away frost. Garden activity for the day; tree service taking down dead elm tree, big dead branches off others for safety & branches which are a bother to the house, including tulip poplar ones, snif snif on those. DH & I have collected some of the seedpods &will plant them farther away. don't know if they are ripe enough so it is an experiment. Their leaves are turning yellow. It was knee high when we planted it; good sized tree now.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Yes, Victor. I heard that today will be the last comfortably warm day for a while. Right now, it's a perfect morning outside. I want to be out there!! But the youngest one is napping and Little Miss "M" is watching Sesame Street. Perhaps later we can all get outside and enjoy the gift of today.
