October Blooms, Part 2

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Lin, I bought a hoya and have no idea what it is. Do you recognize it? I ran out on the porch and took a pic. The runners are long and they look like skinny string beans.

Might be hoya shepherdii aka the string bean hoya. Hopefully other hoya growers will add their opinion as they may know from experience. I've not grown it.

That is what it looks like to me. I don't have one now-- but if it is--- the blooms are fragrant in the evening--used to keep it in my bedroom window, made the whole room smell great.

Gail, Yes, that is Hoya shepherdii: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/57795/ I have a small one of that too, it has not bloomed yet.

Syru: Here's the link to Plant Files for that Corkscrew Rush plant: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55269/ It likes to stay wet.

It is getting hard to upload photos on here because of the length of the thread. Anyone want to start a new thread with a nice photo?

Give me two minutes . . .

Here is a link to the new thread: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/912911/
