OMG look at her...you must all treasure her...is she affectionate? Missy is bu Riley not unless she wants to be..but it's Missy who is always in trouble..lol..she's a stray, someone dumped her in the dumpster and she picked my home as hers...truly loveable...
A good woman, now how old did you say Rick was???? lol..teasing you aren't I...
Bev, years ago I had a wellness clinic at Baxter hall - organized because I was the Recreation Co-ordinator...sooo got to enjoy all the booths..had candle wicking done and couldn't believe the difference..have been having earaches at least a few times a week which throws me off balance as well..should look to see if I can find someone in my area that does it? can be dangerous though if you don't find someone who knows her/his trade??
Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today #63 visit with friends...
Oh my gosh, that is horrible. Go to get some dental work done and never come back home! Wow. So sorry to hear the sad news!
Guess we never know when it is our time to go home to meet out maker.
Prayers going out to Liz.
What is candlewicking? Never heard of it.
Linda Kay
Powder is so lovable only when she wants to be and then she likes rocked and patted to sleep like a baby but in an instant her eys will dialate and she wants to bite and scratch. I hope getting her spayed in Dec takes some of that out!!!! Rick is 43 and here is a pic of the hansome devil. He has the sweetest personnality. Tater, they take a wrapped really thin hollow candle and stick the little end down in the ear and light the other end with a match and let it burn down. When it is done they open it up and all that stuff was sucked up into it. It is weird but does the job with no pain unless they set your hair on fire!!!! Rick says Hi all. HUGS BEV

Hi...
I am very sad tonight.
While I was having a prayer fire to save one young child.
I have just learned that I have lost a grand nephew due to be born next month.
As of last night Baby is in heaven now with his grandma...
My nephew tried to call, but had the wrong number, I could even be with him via phone.
Seedtosser, so sorry to hear of your loss. How is the Mom doing? Prayers going your way and to the family for comfort!
God Bless
Linda Kay
Thank You Linda Kay,
...I'm not sure, how she is, healthwise I guess ok. My nephew is on his way home to be with her.
He was working in another city and must travel home.
...Told my sil to have him call, no matter what time.
So sorry for the loss and know how hard this is for everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and with your nephew and his wife....maybe someday the good Lord will explain to us why.....
OMG Judy, how devastating for all of you ... child so close to birth, already loved by all...and Trisha said it well, one day that plan that we don't understand the 'why's and how comes' might be explained or we'll understand but for now it's just so overwhelming...I know you Judy, you are hurting so very much..wish I was closer so I could put my arms around you...sit in that Adirondak chair I did for you and know you are surrounded by love and hugs galore...let us know how you nephew is doing and of course his wife...had she had any complications through her pregnancy? fI'm so SORRY Judy that I didn't get back to post or I'd have called you...
It's early morning here, few more things to pack (going light) as we're taking my car and it's not the largest car on the market but one seat can fold down and then there is the trunk so if it means our personal suitcases or room for our purchases, you know what we'll pick...
Laura, meant to have come back last night but fell asleep quickly...how did work go today, surely your boss knowing how ill you've been will lay off somewhat....it's going to be sunshine in Australia for the months ahead, unlike me who is expecting snow, that always gives one a boost..and maybe if you play in the garden a bit, see the flowers grow, smile as you listen to the birds knowing they are bringing to you songs they've heard us sing, you'll feel safe, loved and will get back to a healthy 'self'
How is the family, those grandchildren must have grown a foot at least since you've last posted photo's...I always look forward to photo's because you take them in such a pose that they are breathtaking..
Better get back to putting those swap/birthday pressies in the car..wouldn't it be terrible if I forgot them....oh/oh......
Gab when I get to work!
Judy, So sorry, Know what you and the family are going through. I went through it with 4 grandchildren. The Lord knows best. LOVE HUGS &PRAYERS BEV
How very tragic Bev...must be very difficult to keep in 'faith'...what do you have planned for today? outside gardening?
Wouldn't you know I forgot to drop into my insurance company and get travel insurance..one never knows..only a few $$$...went to the bank across this street at 9:00 and they want $24.00 for 2 days..yuk..wasn't going to bother but now that I think about it might just take a quick run and get it...might be $24.00 well spent..know I'll only be about 1 hr. into USA but accidents do happen so best get my coat on and go for a walk...
OMG we had ice on the windshield this morning..it's actually quite cool here in the office so I'm sitting with my coat on...lol...
Judy, you at work today???
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for the prayers, hugs and support.
I am ok, had a good cry last night. Trying to get my nephews phone number.
Yes, Betty I am at work. you know it is with a deep breath to accept this kind of loss.
Bev, I am sorry too that you went through it 4 times.
I think, I don't question the why's. We have lost a baby to Sids, and a few miscarriages, Have lots Faith in God, so for whatever reason he has... I just pray, that my nephew will be ok, He is a fantastic dad to my 2 year old grand niece Briana. They are very young yet so...God willing they will be able to have more children.
...Betty, You have a wonderful time with Stacey and her mom. Will be thinking of you and all the crafting, carefule on the roads. Looking forward to hearing and seeing pics of your finds!
Hi Wonder, so glad you are on the mend. As always good to see you post, brings a smile and hugs to you...Is spring in the air yet??
Ok, had a post for yesterday but went to cyberspace, lol so aggrevating...I'll be back later with a new one. You know me miss blabby, so off to type and will copy it this time.
Meanwhile, you all have a good morning, bbl.

Bev, My your son is handsome. Will send up some prayer he finds a good woman.
Oh my gosh, Areyou going to therapy for Vertigo? Yikes, amazing how that kreeps up...heheh, Powder sure is a cutie.
Was saying yesterday...
Ohhh Hellooo LIZZZZ, yahoo welcome back, giving hugs and smiles and doing a happy dance. So glad to see you. ROLF, uh already challanging me huh, kind of to blab on phone and txt too...heheh. I am glad you got to decorating a little bit. woohoo, just found my decorations from you at the office! so Up went the skeletal hands, candy corn and lil pumpkins, now my computer looks spooktacular!
HI, Carol, LOL, on the Crafting the other night, welll...(whispering in your ear...shhh, don't tell Liz) My craft table is mounded, ROFL if you could see my sign language hand would be arching from one side up and over down to the other, but I DID manage to get pieces together that i want to work on this weekend. I made lists-Yikes, rarely ever make them but lol it was a good way to make me think of all I need to get working on...So, what are you up to, Now the season over. Finished getting all the Garden decor away? This weekend i am planning to bring in the mini garden decorations oh gosh not sure where to put them...oh brain storm, think i will get a tote and just leave them on my garden bench.
Oh hahah, Betty that reminds me, Told Steve I was planning on bringing my Ardiock chair in the sunroom for winter. So he says oh no put it in the shed!! Well, now you know me, hand flew to my hip the other pointing to the FOYER of TOOLS and other works stuff. I said if you can use the foyer for a garage, Then surely I can use the Sunroom for my chair. LOL at least it is a piece of furniture...well, so far it's still outside in the screen room.
My gosh Trisha, You are one busy person, and I thought I did alot of running around! and you manage to get the spin in too? holy moly, Was exhausted just from reading all you do. Yesterday was on the run from 4 to 7 20 and then had my prayer fire, i was pooped and stressed, geesh, that was just two kids appointments. How many kids are you doing all that running for? Wow, they are lucky.
OH Ves, Where are you?? haven't seen you on in a while. Hope you are well, getting all you want done, or lol not...
Oh, btw, Liz...No we will be finding out at the end of the month if I still have a job.
Waving Hello to Ruby too, What have you been up to? Are you still n the gardens?
Hugs to all you busy friends, CAT, GG, Shar, Gilli, Dawn.

Hi everyone I missed, take care and see ya'll tomorrow!
Good morning Wonder, Glad to hear your felling better. I know your in different time zones, and climates. Your getting ready for your summer, and we are getting ready for our winter. Would love to see some of the pictures from your place. My hubby spent time in Australia during his Air Force days, and he loved it. He said everyone was so nice and the beer was good!
Enjoy your day out shopping for craft and rug supplies.
Keep us posted on your progress.
Linda Kay
hi there linda
had a great day today.. the first of many i hope.. breathing well and doing fine! went and got a little fabric at the sale, an outdoor folding chair for fat bottoms and a fold up bed for the GD. I was tire but ok.
went to the DD for dinner and spent time with her and the grandkids... lovely.
i will have to find some pics for u... i have some of a lovely beacho not to far from me, about an hour, tho the beacjh is at the end of my street. its a beach so filled with shells... lovely. and i want ot catch the orchids blooms before they finish. spring is here but heat is hitting us hard.... early. too early..... so water restrictions will tighten to no watering.; this is one person that will not hold tp that and kill my orchids that are worth a fortune.. no sir ... sorry.
otherwise all well.
keep well all
Judy Oh my gosh! Poor mom and dad must be sooo devastated? Gosh the bad times seem so many and the good and joyous times so few and far in between sometimes it seems just a miracle that we are not all chronically depressed 24/7?
Thanks all about sympathy for my friend Chris. Her x h calls me sometimes and he said what she has now is considered permanent. Sad because her mind is totally aware of all and understands everything but her body will not or can not cooperate. The voice activated thing will not work with her which is also why I did not continue her mom to get her computer hooked up for Chris so we could talk on DG. She was also an avid gardener. She has very little control of her arm and her fingers and could not push the keys to type as I once thought she would be able to do. So her x tells me.
Ok gardening question? It gets cold here in the winter. Now my Cannas are still blooming some of them, but others are falling over. One I seem to have a gopher, but the other is, once the season is over, what happens to the Cannas? Do I dig up the bulbs in cold weather or do I leave them alone? Cut off the stock? Do you think the gopher is killing some or is that what they do when the nights get cold, just fall over? I am ignorant on the matter?
Hi, I don't know about Cal. but here in Illinois we have to wait for the first god frost to kill the leaves and the cut off the stalks and dig the rizomes, wash and dry them and store either in sawdust or shredded paper for the winter. I have just left mine in a basket with nothing and they have been alright the next spring but they have to be good and dry. We do the same with caladiums and EEs. hope this helps. Hi all and have a good SUN> HUGS BEV
Awwww--Thanks Liz! One of my "babies"......:o))
How do you keep your plants so compact? Mine are all over and branched and leggy!
It would be wonderful to have such a short, compact cutie in my beds.
Bev--I agree with your advice--to a point.......
Yes! Wait for the first good frost and then cut back the canes leaving about 6" of them sticking up. Wait another 2 weeks if you can--and then dig them up. Be careful not to break apart the root ball. The Canna tubers will have grown quite large and wide. Use a digging fork--not a shovel--so you can lift them better and not accidentally cut through some of the tubers.
Knock some of the soil off the clump--but not all of it. The extra soil will keep the roots protected. If the weather is warmish--leave them outside in a cardboard box to dry. If not--bring them inside--like in your basement. Do not store them in something like a plastic bag! NO! NO!
A box filled with sawdust or Peat Moss or crumpled up/shredded newspapers is OK. Just keep them cool and dry!
In the Spring--you want to take a look at all the roots/rhizomes. There should be fresh, red pips growing on the rhizomes. If you plan to divide them--make sure you leave about 3-4 "eyes" on each division.
You can start these early in the house so you will have earlier bloom. Pot the divisions up in big pots. As long as there is NO growth--light is NOT important!
Good luck! Gita
My neighbor leaves her giant ee's in the ground all year round, she hasn't had a problem so far.
Home safe and sound, got in about 10 minutes ago..waiting for Sailor to come in after her evening constitution .... put on a cozy nighty I just bought, so very tired...but great time was had by all..just loved Stacey..so full of life and YOUNG! even though it was her birthday today, she hardly looks more than 25....and Janice-another Dragonfly is so adorable...tell more and share photo's tomorrow..we left at 5:30 and just got in...night/night
Morning..waiting with my coffee for the reports on the shopping and fun in Frankenmouth.
Yesterday was our Applefest in Bowmanville.
Lovely weather for it and lots of people turned out..they shut down the whole main street and there are all kinds of crafts and food vendors and rides for the kids etc,..My friend Sheila and I had the most fun in the New to You shop..fill a bag for only $3.00. I got a blazer..2 sweaters, candles and holders, and a vase.
Here I am with the ferris wheel in the background.
They had an elephant from the local zoo for rides for the kids too.
Morning everyone.
Starzz, you forgot the picture.
Betty, glad to hear you had a good time, and made it home safe. Waiting on your pictures.
Hope everyone has a good day.
LK
Hello everyone, quick post then later this aft. when I'm organized here at home and unpacked I'll sit and gab..Greg is just winterizing the Foxy Lady, going to set her on the ground for the winter and put her somewhere that doesn't create a problem this winter re plowing...got a turkey on, dusting and the vaccum is trying to pick up cat/dog hair..leaving it for 3 days..yuk.. so promised myself I'd work in the house until 2 then have the rest of the day just to enjoy...
Met Fairy (Stacey) and Dragonfly (Janice) when we arrived at our hotel..because we had just over 1 1/2 hrs. wait at the border in order to cross it put us behind..Stacey and Janice had already spend most of day shopping at the outlets..of course had beautiful goodies to show...
Suzanne and Rita and I left minutes after our arrival and meeting the girls to go shopping for the 2 hrs. left, we had supper and returned to our rooms at 10:00 where Janice and Stacey who both were comfy in their jammies came to visit...I found it so interesting...Stacey said I always look so stern in my pictures, meanwhile I usually am never seen without a smile soooo had to smile in my photo with them..this one's for you Stacey!!!
Just loved meeting them, they are as cute and generous as I had pictured them...Stacey's in the middle, me on the right and Janice on the left...
Janice...brought me a lovely bag/gift and Thanksgiving card...if only we would have had more time to get to know each other...it's hard when it's only hours and on a power shopping trip...long way for 1 1/2 days...6 1/2 hrs. driving...
Maybe another time I can spend a day or so with Janice in Lansing..close to the outlets..lol
It was years and years since I visited Bonners..forgot just how overwhelming it was..the beauty..with christmas being my, Suzanne and Rita's favorite time of year, know that our jaws are sore today as we walked gawking with mouth open for most of the day...
Didn't want to wear my heavy jacket as it was warming up so Suzanne gave me her lightweight one..not too color co-ordinated is it...
