PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tears of joy here, thank you Donna!!! We shall continue praying for Deborah.
How wonderful...have been missing her as well!
Soooo Happy to hear Deborah is doing better......
Add my vote to getting all our missing sistahs back on line...........I know what you mean Stacey, when I got Nevada without my computer I thought it would take forever to catch up.......everyone was either very quiet or not here and it didn't take long at all.....was such a strange feeling !!!
That's GREAT news, Donna! (((((( Waving )))))) to Deborah!
OOHHH How Pretty!!!!!
Pretty, pretty Kathy! Is a Confederate Rose the same as an Althea?
no debra, but in the same family
Donna that is really good news!!! Sure hopes she checks in soon!!
Okay, Kathy, here you go again posting pictures of all your lovely blooms and I am sitting now here with none!! Not fair. Sure am glad Wally reappeared--poor baby, you have been neglecting him with his food.
Waving to everyone now it is back to what I need to finish today!!!!
marion, please post pics. of your birdfeeders
Yes please! We love pictures!!!!!
deborah just called me. she is fine and will post soon!
Glad Deborah is sounding better!! Love and hugs to you Sisthah!
Afternoon ladies. I just got back from San Antonio, and so glad to hear the good news on Deborah. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
I got my stitches out, but I have to wear the big bulky boot till next Thursday, then slowly start wearing my own tennis shoe! So it is slowly but surely healing!
Picture is of my double purple datura, only about 2 foot tall and blooming.
Have a great afternoon.
LK
I took a nap with no worries on my forehead :D
LK, don't be tempted to use it as a weapon!! I was glad I kept my moon boot...it 'healed' my badly sprained ankle.
My Confederate rose still have buds after a few blooms. Thanks for the pics Sis.
Just to let all of you know, not to send out an APB on me. Will be gone all day tomorrow.
Confession:
Agreeing with what Trisha and BJ posted.
I feel lost when one of you go missing. Especially when it's for days.
This is my only social club.
If anyone read this and say I need to get a life....where can I find a bunch of neurotic sistahs just like me, here.
And if I don't say it often enough. Please remember I love all of you ^_^
Jaye, your thoughts really hit home. I get out often to my part-time job, master gardener projects, etc. but spend much more time here at home by myself. By choice. Many would say I need to 'get a life' also, but I feel like my life is very full and much comes from my 'cyber' friends at DG. I feel especially glad to have met my new 'sistahs' and crazy as it sounds, feel you all contribute a great deal to my life.
Now, I have tears in my eyes. Well put, both of you. Looks like we're all here for the same reasons, somewhat. I spend way too much time by myself, and you all filled a void in my life that has long been needed filling. I don't know what I'd do now without ALL of you.
How do you do group hugs over the internet?????????
((((((((( SISTAHS )))))))))))))))))
Me too-I am a lonely 32 (almost) year old with what Dh calls "old lady hobbies"
I talked w/ Deb also, feeling better, but she is having a hard time reading for long periods of time, so she will be back soon:)
Glad to hear it LK:)
Good night to all my wonderful sisters. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))
LK
Funny Stacey, I am 58 and my DH says the same thing about me.!!!
LK glad to hear all is going well with your foot!!! You will be dancing soon!
Just got through doing loads of laundry, cleaning up and making sure no socks are underneath the furniture :D You know how that goes when you have furbabies in the house.
How rich you are Stacey, from zero Aunties to having enough for you to get premature grey hair!!
Marion, I do hope it has been a productive day for you today, and hands should not be exerting themselves unnecessary.
Congratulations Debra! It's a beautiful bag, and so you're swimming in hairy fibers, loose thread...and I hope you do have a small magnet to pick up those loose pins on the floor!!
We need to annoint you the Rag Bag Sistah.
Trisha already claimed the Bag Lady title along with other names her DH might have given her!! Lolol!!
LK, sleep well.
Congrats on getting your stitches out, LK! Sweet dreams.
I'm off to bed soon. Need to get up early and get back to sewing.
Rag Bag Sistah! That's funny. Fitting name for my current appearance - no purse involved. lol!
*peeking in around the corner* Hi Girls and nite to those that have drifted of already.
busy day workin on seeds and getting them out of pods for the Ru and had to get some roses planted
I tell ya what though those dang Datura seeds with the stickers on the outside sure do prick ya good without gloves
Just a nuisance ain't it. Not planting any daturas next year neither, unless they're quadrupled purple with yellow tips!!
Night all of you who are off to bed... not me... I'm on a roll here...
Got all the squares put together and about to stitch up the sides...
Got to figure out what stiffening to put in the handles, and I need to get some plastic canvas for the bottom before I can finish... so, I'll have to make a Walmart run tomorrow.
Wonderful new Linda Kay. Now we should have a picture of you in your stylish boot to go with the string ladies.
I am so happy to hear some have talked with Deborah. I really miss that Sistah.
Jaye, Debra and BJ, you three about said it all!! I feel like I was lead to this group for a reason and I now know why. Jaye, thanks a million for inviting me to the first swap and everyone else for providing some wonderful sun shine back into my life.
Kathy, will get some pictures posted soon. Sure am relieved Wally is okay--just trying to convience you to take better care of him!! Jealous because of the babies getting all the attention.
Tink, don't worry about doing "ole lady hobbies". Personally I don't consider any we do "ole lady" more like talented , creative ladies!!!!
I will be out of pocket tomorrow also. Have been invited to go have lunch with Kim and her friends in Bainbridge. No students but teacher planning day so it is all go for Mexican. Might just go to this neat little nursery while I am there.
Sounds like a productive day, Phyllis.
We will miss you Marion. Enjoy your lunch.
BJ, you are on a roll! I just used batting in my handles. They were a little wider than I like so the second one was cut down slightly.
Hello Phyllis, been missing you post lately.
Oh I plan to!!! It is a really good Mexican restuarant and Kim's friends are halarious to be with--I am Mom to all of them.
BJ, could you tell in the pattern photo that one had a scalloped decorative stitch on the handles and around the top? It looks nice. That's why I want a new sewing machine - a fancy Bernina.
What next Debra, a rag quilt? You should do one, just make sure since you're using a septic tank, don't use your washing machine.
BJ, please post pics of the bags once you're done. I think I'll try one too :)
Marion, enjoy yourself at the nursery. Buy, buy, buy!!
Off to bed now.. please keep on praying for Deborah. (Baby steps, sistah..baby steps)
Night sistahs..
Well dear, just watch Bernina--they have been having sales recently with financing for 18 months same as cash!! Not a bad deal. Oh but I didn't say that out loud did I?
well the Ru is the 11th and I need to make sure I have things ready ..was putting it off some in hopes of more seeds or things to dig up to offer yet LOL
have had a few field trips this week too so have to do house stuff when I get home if DH didn't get it done and he doesn't' plant much of the flowers and such unless we have picked where it is going first.
and have my door prize ready along wtih one for son in law to be's mom and a few things for a couple others that are hopefully attending
