Oh goody I found it first!!! That is really unusal for me. Jaye are you okay?
Yes, you're first Marion!
I guess I'm just being apprehensive over so many things that are beyond my control. Only thing I can control is my apprehension :D
Worrying won't help... but bowing my head in prayers will.
Won't be around Friday, got some stuffs to do.
Do you paper-piece, Marion? That would make accurate piecings.

Let's put it this way, I have taken the class twice, understand the basics but it has been so long since I have sat down to do it I am not sure what would happen. Oh my yes it does make for very accurate piecing. Not sure about appliques--I don't do those very much if I can help it!!! The glue sticks for fabric and stitch and tear are the best things I have used. Some times I use the fusing web.
Jaye, please don't worry. I know that is hard as I do the same thing but it isn't good for either of us!! You are so right, just pray.
Thanks Marion. When that worry bug starts to hit me, I'll grab a quilting book or hit Kel :D
Time for the zzzzzzzzzzzsss.
Deborah, if you're reading this. We love you very much.
well ladies 4 am comes earlier then I like so I am off to bed tonight everyone sleep well
ROFLOL, please don't hit Kel!! If you need more quilting books to read will send you some just don't hit on Kel.
I am off for some zzzzz myself. Put my brace back on so maybe I can rest better tonight.
Be safe!!
Sleep well Jaye and Marion. We'll share the concerns so no one has them all on their shoulders. Ok?
Oh please... Marion. That's another skeleton in my closet---quilting books!! I need to part with the old ones, but being a typical pack rat..
Thanks Debra, I think I'll take a couple Benadryl to ensure I'll sleep soundly.
Nite all.
May I join you Ladies?
I did speak with Deborah early this afternoon.........and I'm calling on all prayer warriors.....Please pray for my best friend Cordeledawg!
Let's fill her mail box with love & support! By sending a card of encouragement that this to shall pass. Flooding her mail box with LOVE, she needs all of us to help her through this trouble time. I know many of you have already since her so many beautiful gifts that she cherish dearly and I thank you for your kind heart.
So if you would send her a card with your special message, in hoping it will make her day a little brighter. Letting her know she is loved and worthy of our love and support.
In June of 2007 I ask DGer's to fill my fathers mail box with love and everyone came through with some much love and kindness and prayers. He was so so happy that folks he didn't even know love & care for him. We lost Daddy on July 7, 2007, he's at peace now and he left us knowing he was loved very much.
Deborah was my rock after Daddy pass. I don't know what I would of done with out her!
We can also feel Linda 2pugdogs mail box up with Love to!
Donna
What a brilliant idea Donna. You lifted up the fog in my head with this suggestion.
Gonna get the brightest cheery cards, yes cards.. and mail them tomorrow.
Wonderful Jaye! Lets see how many we can get out by Monday! It would be lovely if she could rec a dozen or so on the same day!
Jaye and Marion rest well tonight.....Debra is right share the burden so no one carries too much of a load.
All of our prayers and our love go out to Deborah and Linda and to you Donna for being such a good friend......wouldn't any of us be of much worth if we can't be there for our friends when they need us.
4 four hours of sleep in the 36 is starting to catch up with me, pleasant dreams everyone.
Count Laura and I in on sending cards.....we can do that!!
Morning ladies........
I am guessing we find the snail mail addies in the extras for the ladies and is there an email addy listed someplace too?
Morning Ladies...I was under the false thinking that Deb was feeling better and the Linda was also recovering, so now I will go back to my ulcers and my thoughts....I did have a dream about Deb last night-it was very strange-but it amounted to a conversation that took place over several days that helped her tremendously. I do miss her a lot and hope that she feels up to chatting with us again real soon.
I will be sending a card too-I hope she got the special gifts that were sent her way over the last couple of weeks as well. And a card for Linda too...I think I have a pug one somewhere even:)
Jaye honey-we will carry the burden together, as we are family and that is the nature of family. We take care of each other.
Donna-if you get a chance to see Deb, please give her the biggest hug that almost breaks a rib and tell her I said Smooches:)
Judy-good to hear from ya lady!!
LK-drive safely please!!
MORNING PHYLLIS!!
Tina-glad everything is OK-I had sent you a d and started to get worried:(
I'll greet you all with (((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) this morning.
The addresses are listed and if you can't find them, just dmail me.
Donna has started a prayer thread. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/908939/
Morning Glory! someone pass the danish, I'm ravenous.
Jaye, your email, which I picked up last night while I was sitting up with indigestion, reminded me of a country western song I hold dear.
"when you're going through hell, keep on goin'. Don't hold back, if you're scared don't show it.
You might get out before the Devil even knows you're there."
some of the other lines, "face that fire, walk right through it" is something I did in my life long before this song was written. It's truly amazing what a woman can get through if she's determined to survive. Kinda a Scarlet in "Gone with the Wind" mentality. It's not easy to do, and doing it is darn scary - scareful enough to last a long time. But somehow it does work.
I can't work today-tears in the way...we are one loving wonderful family:) I luvs you all sooooooooooooo much-I can't even express how much-I will be thinking of Deb constantly until I hear otherwise...
Good Morning Everyone,
Sorry I went missing last night. I had to take another pain pill and it kicked me to the curb. Then I was up again in the middle of the night to take another one. I'm better this morning, but groggy. I just wish I could find out what is causing this.
Deborah, if you're reading this, here's a verse that got me through some really tough times. I taped it to my bathroom mirror, and read it outloud to myself every morning for many years. I got a new interpretation of it every day as each and every struggle in my life occurred.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
What it means to me today is that God gave me (as a gift) the power to overcome every obstacle that man puts in my path. God gave me the love it takes to help myself and others create a path to get through the tough times. And the promise that I will get through it all with a sound mind. As long as I just keep my eyes, heart, and mind directed toward him... I will get through it.
MY prayers are with you, my dear friend. I love you.
BJ, it's uncanny you brought that verse up. It's the verse too that she had picked from her Faith Jar yesterday. We know her faith is still in Him.
Some light humor this morning.
Where do you come up with these? ROFLOL
Donna, thanks for an update on Deborah. I have been having this uneasy feeling she wasn't doing very well. She is in my thoughts and prayers daily but I wish there was something else I could do to help. I have so been looking forward to meeting the 2 of you in person and getting to know you better. Besides there are some neat nurseries around we could get into serious trouble.
Deborah if you are reading, please take care, know you ARE loved and thought about daily. I miss your chatting, your knowledge of butterflies and plants. In short, I NEED YOU Sistah!!!!
i can't find wally, and fear he is dead
Okay here is my contribution for the day!!
A Florida couple, both well into their 80s, go to a sex therapist's office.
The doctor asks, 'What can I do for you?'
The man says, 'Will you watch us have sexual intercourse?'
The doctor raises both eyebrows, but he is so amazed that such an elderly couple is asking for sexual advice that he agrees.
When the couple finishes, the doctor says, 'There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way you have intercourse.'
He thanks them for coming, he wishes them good luck, he charges them $50 and he says good bye.
T he next week, the same couple returns and asks the sex therapist to watch again. The sex therapist is a bit puzzled, but agrees.
This happens several weeks in a row.
The couple makes an appointment, has intercourse with no problems, pays the doctor, then leave.
Finally, after 3 months of this routine, the doctor says, 'I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Just what are you trying to find out?'
The man says, 'We're not trying to find out anything.
She's married so we can't go to her house.
I'm married and we can't go to my house.
The Holiday Inn charges $98.
The Hilton charges $139.
We do it here for $50, and
I get $43 back from Medicare.
Oh no Sis.. let's hope not. :(
Oh Kathy, that is awful!! Let's hope not--just taking a rest somewhere.
Kathy, is Wally a baby or adult? Chicken or peafowl? Maybe he just went 'exploring' like Woody does and will come back with head hanging knowing he has caused you such stress.
Marion, that's too funny.
Marion-that is hilarious:(
I am thinkin wally just needed a break from all those hens;) Here's crossing my fingers that is true...
he's back. he is under the tree waiting to be fed, and looking at me as if to say, what is all the fuss
I text message Deborah last night with a I love you note........she reply early this morning love you too....Deborah is my alarm clock....she'll call me with a wake up call................text her again to see if she wants to talk but no answer back.....At lease I know she getting her message on her cell.
I'm hoping to see her next week, gotta take her chairs. Would go sooner but have my 30th Class Reunion this weekend. I'll for sure give her the BIGGEST HUG ever from you ALL!
Thanks Donna:) Make sure to squeeze the bejesus out of her!!
That's a relief... we might have to find a Holiday Inn for Wally ;)
Donna, yes, hug her tight for us. Sent out 2 cards today and praying she gets stronger each day.
Boy, we do take each other seriously here, even our juve niece, Stacey.
Laura should be home and able to post soon. Been missing her.. and of course, Joey.
Got calls in to Joey... but she actually has to leave the house to get her messages... so, I'm still waiting... sure hope they get those cell towers and internet connections fixed soon.
Jaye-I only really take the love seriously here:) Everything else is game for fun:)
We have WAY too many people missing here... it's not a comfortable feeling when you miss so many at one time.
This is what I'm sayin-when I come in to work in the am, it used to take me like an hour to catch up-now it's like 20 mins-that was always my fave hour of the day:)
Deborah just called, she sound much better! Thank You Lord!!!
She going to clean house today and maybe we'll hear from her soon.
Prayers are being answers!!
Ya Hoo...
