Sylvia - Very nice pink-red flaked...

These flaked strains are gradually evolving to display larger diluted areas of the basic background color accented by streaks of the original darker background color...

Very unusual, gorgeous MGs, Sylvia, and what a smile Isabella has

Sylvia - I think you've done a great job on your website! I really like how you are growing and training your vines on those trellises, obelisks, and hoops. Very nice display!!! Your yard is beautiful! I love your obelisk with Rebecca and roses growing on it! It's fun to see other people's gardens and plants! :-) Thanks for sharing with us! Your precious granddaughter is adorable! :-) :-) :-) :-)

Here is a new one for me today. Seed came from Karen (bluespiral). It was labeled Dark Blue Mt. Fuji.

Thanks Becky for posting this one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=5623437 . Did I really use the term "Mt. Fuji" on the packet? Anyhoo, it's interesting that yours would come true to open-pollinated seed, while my bagged seed produced a larger, solid medium-light blue; same pattern & size but in bright cerise like Yaguruma; and a very large, floaty cloud of pastel fuchsia-pink shading into violet in outer rim, with rays and picotee. I have potted up that last one into a larger pot and hope to grow it on indoors over the winter - too soon to tell if there'll be seeds.

There's no end to how amazing these MGs are -

karen, I love that one it is beautiful

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Karen - Can you post a photo of yours here?

(Zone 7a)

Thank you, Joeswife. It's from a 3rd generation grow out from seeds originally from EmmaGrace that were titled I. youjiro "Baby Blue and Light Pink". I think we all try, more or less, to keep certain cultivars we love "true" to the parent, but what a trip when the offspring surprise us. I'd love to understand the genetics behind what we're seeing on this forum.

Looks like you have curtains of morning glories - very beautiful - looks like you're keeping butterflies happy

(Zone 7a)

Becky, sorry - missed your post in cyberspace. I can't post pics right now - too swamped - but will work on it - hopefully these cuttings I'm rooting will take and produce blooms through the fall/winter indoors

A big caudex / caudiforms
Here is my big bulb/root to Ipomoea andersonii, I was surprice when I saw today how big it was. It have not grow much this summer, to rainy I think and the buds have withered the whole time long.

Greatblooms everyone. Been off-line since Tues night late. Back on
now with my new computer and Vista software.
Sylvia, beautiful g daughter.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Love this intense blue one Becky! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5623437

Joeswife the butterfly and MG is real nice!!

Sylvia that is a cool picture!!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Sylvia, Love your Carnivale de Venezia, so pretty. Those seeds from
Select Seeds were the biggest disappointment for me. Tiny one inch blooms,
the 1st few solid white, no streaking. The last one was almost 2 inches with pink
stripes. Now I may have lost everything on that computer including all my current
pics.
Anyway, nice to see how they were supposed to look. lol

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

joeswife - Love your photo with the Sulphur Butterfly! :-)

Sylvia - Your bulb/root of Ipomoea andersonii is amazing! Do you have it growing in the ground or in a pot?

Jackie - I hope you have a smooth time now using your new software! :-)

Thanks, Ronnie! If you liked yesterday's bloom, get a load of the newest bloom today. This is why I traded seeds with Karen. I remember she got this type of bloom on hers last year and I fell in love with it!

And you are not going to believe the bloom I got today on Antoinette's cross ... Heian Umi X Rose Silk. I had a very strong hunch it was going to WOW me with what it is capable of producing! Isn't this amazing????!!!

And this one produced some nice dark "freckles" today! I still get blooms every day on this vine. I have been hand pollinating them to make sure I get seeds!

I got another Chocolate Tie-dye bloom today. These blooms are smaller. About 3", but the color really stands out against the green leaves. I like this vine! :-)

And these are all volunteers that I just plucked up out of the ground and planted into this pot. I was thinking they were all Fuji no Monet NOT, but instead I am seeing 3 different colored blooms in this pot! Surprise, surprise ...
