Stop and visit, talk all you want #26

Crissy, it wasn't a choice that came easily. But I'm glad I finally did it. My back and feet are thanking me. ☺

Let's see...boxes from camera I got months ago, bills to be paid, bills already paid, assorted CDs and papers, seed packets, cassettes, camera, broken camera, old film camera, film, empty envelopes, note pads, sticky pads, sticky notes...sheeeeesh!!!

Bills, CDs, phone, 2 catalogs, pocket knives, slinky toy, books, pens, gum, ponytail holders, leather sealer, and on top part of the desk- printer, oil lamps, spay bottle, computer box, a couple stuffed animals, ball cover for my truck, water for sneakers.

Talk about junk!! LOLOL

That's not counting what's in the shelves.

Sounds like my office! I have over 300 CD's just sitting in the floor cause i haven't bought a rack to put them in yet, or another rack so I can split them up. Tons of papers and receipts that needed to be shredded! About a years worth of paid bills to be filed, an empty box, Victorian Santa stuff, counted cross stitch which I hate doing stuff, hhmmmm I think that's about it!

I just had a pb&j, now I want cereal. Maybe I'll just have a pot pie for dinner!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I haven't had cereal in ages. I think it's the weather. It's cold so I want hot food. lol

(Zone 7a)

I found a couple of games, too. A puzzle box and assorted cat hairs, catalogues and tax stuff. Huh, wonder if Jimmy Hoffa's under there somewhere?

It's too early to be hungry for chicken enchiladas, but that did it! Yummmmmmy!

Here's my pulled pork recipe I promised, but forgot to send LOL!

Pulled Pork
· 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
· 2 medium yellow onions, diced
· 2 tablespoons chili powder
· 1 tablespoon cumin
· 2 teaspoons paprika
· 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
· 1 teaspoon ancho chili pepper powder
· 12 ounces beer, preferably lager (1 1/2 cups)
· 3/4 cup ketchup
· 3/4 cup cider vinegar
· 1/2 cup whole-grain mustard
· 2 tablespoons tomato paste
· 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced, plus 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
· 1 5-7pound bone-in Boston butt
Preheat oven to 300°F. Trim visible fat from the pork. Put the pork in a double broiler, cover, transfer to the oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Turn the pork over, cover, and bake for 1 1/2 hours more. Uncover and bake until a fork inserted into the meat turns easily, 1 to 2 hours more.

Sauce:
Heat oil in a large crock-pot. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned and very soft.
Increase heat to high; add chili powder, cumin, paprika and cayenne and cook, stirring, until fragrant, 1 minute. Add beer, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, tomato paste, chipotle pepper and adobo sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is slightly thickened.
Remove the pork from the oven and remove the bone and any remaining pieces of fat from the meat. The bone should easily slip away from the tender meat. Pull the pork apart into long shreds using two forks. Add the meat to the sauce; stir to combine. Keep on low in the crock-pot. Ready to serve when you are :)

You can spice it up with some hot peppers, but I only like a little bite to mine.
