Looks like y'all had a great time at the RU! Had company all weekend, finally got a little down time here.

Been outside most of the weekend. Beeeeeyouteeful weather! Perfect for me 50's in the evening and low 70's during the day. Thank you Lord! LOL!

Prissy rolled in something that made me gag as I was bathing her, had to use one hand to bathe her while the other was holding my nose. Had to Febreeze the rugs - Holy Cow it was nasty :O

ROTFLOL Sharon! Isis smelled like the zoo yesterday and needed a bath. Yuck!

LOL! We never give our cats baths. I have been tempted to give Whiskers one a few times though. He sure can stink!

it was REALLY bad! LOL Both cats a big enough, we need both of US to bathe them.

Oh Yuk! I was doing major gardening today, when I figure out why my camera won't download the pics I'll post them, and Tiga had to come up and poo right where I was digging, rotten cat!

LOL Our cats do that all the time. I laid new topsoil and what's the first thing Isis does? Yeah...

Curly does that too. If there's new dirt down or if I'm digging a new hole he rolls in it or goes to the bathroom. Last year he killed a red clematis that I had planted. Ooooh I was soooo mad!! But he was doing what we taught him to do which was to go in the potting soil.

Dang, rotten animals! I was outside with my next door neighbor and her little dog found Tiga's poo and started eating it! Now that's nasty! LOL

Ok, I'm going to ask for help how to deal with this broad I work with, can't stand her and I wish she would just not be able to come to work any more and yes I know that's mean but check this out:

2 weeks ago I had my Conference in Fayetteville, AR (NW corner of the state.) This week we have a huge Conference Wed, Thurs, and Fri up there again and I have to drive her up there because she doesn't drive, plus share a hotel room with her. Last Thursday afternoon me and the programmer were standing at my desk talking about something, and she said, "Oh yea, I have to deal with Christine coming in at 3am all drunk staggering and stumbling." I looked at her and said, "Did I do that last year? I don't remember getting drunk, you have to actually drink first." The programmer dude said, "Yea, Christine doesn't really drink, she goes out for the social event of the whole thing." She dropped it. Friday she was on it again, but not only was she harping at me all day about my alcoholic habit but my sluttyness too because I went for a walk with my neighbor Larry (me and Dave are friends with him and his wife.) I thought for sure she would move onto something different over the weekend, boy was I wrong.

I didn't feel good this morning and the first words out of her mouth were, "Drank too much last night, did ya?" I haven't had a drink in 2 weeks, not even a beer! She was telling me of my alcohol abuse all day today, then when I ask who won the Buccaneers game last night she asked "Why do you care about that score?" I said "Jeff Garcia fan here!" My boss was standing there and he laughed, and she looked at me with her eyebrows going up and down and said, "So why do you like Jeff Garcia???" I looked at my boss and said, "Because he played for the 49ers." She said, "Oh yea, right. You know you're going to go out and get drunk and want to mess with him." Ok, now it's harassment, am I wrong? I told my boss about it today, but I'm seriously considering taking it higher to the director. I don't want to deal with this at the conference, I'm a freaking secretary with a BA in IT for Pete's sake, I'm too educated to put up with this.

I would go to the director.

Seriously, see the director. She cannot get away with that. Your boss should know this and take his own actions.

crissy - See the Director, she's so out of line and she sounds jealous of you. Maybe she's trying to get you pushed out and take your position.

Darrell and I took a trip up a local canyon yesterday to see the fall colors. It was beautiful but we missed the peak.

She's been there 4 years, I've been there barely 1 and I'm her backup. She's the secretary for the attorneys, I'm the secretary for the IT department. She can't take my position, my position requires a BA in IT. She's twice my age, never learned how to drive, and didn't get past Sophomore year of high school, and apparently did entirely too many drugs in the 60's and 70's.

It turns out I didn't have to do anything. I got in at 7:50 and she immediately started whining about getting chewed out, but no one was there yet to chew her out. I didn't respond at all and she kept this up until around 9:00, and it seemed that everyone was ignoring her. She said one more time, "I don't know why everyone is on my case and ignoring me." I said, "Well, you put yourself there." She said, "No one understands my personality." I am assuming that my boss must have told the director after everyone left and he called her early this morning and told her about it. My next question is why is it everyone's responsibility to understand her personality? I didn't respond because talking to her is like talking to a brick wall, literally. She was on the phone with her husband and I overheard her say, "Gas is at 2.26 over on Broadway? Wow!! Ok bye!" She immediately turned to me and said, "Gas is $2.39 over at Broadway." There's seriously something wrong with her. I was watching her work and she was forgetting what she was doing, I'd say every 3 to 5 minutes. She would just freeze and look around with a blank expression, just like my grandmother did when she had the first onset of Alzheimer's. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Oh bummer! It's going to be real pretty in Fayetteville. 2 weeks ago the leaves were just starting to change color, it's been dropping into the mid 30's for about 1 1/2 weeks up there now so I'm sure the fall foliage is at it's best.

I'll try to find a computer while I'm up there but I don't think the hotel has a business center, they don't seem to have anything else either lol!

Our peak color seems to be over here but I could be wrong. Still many green leaves on trees.

Up in the mountains where we were, the colors are awesome. Down here in the valley, they're taking a bit longer. My sumac is starting its color change.

Our sumacs changed last week I think it was. But alot of leaves are coming down now and even more will come down this week. It is currently raining and will keep raining until Sat probably. Expecting close to 4 inches in some areas. I have a feeling the rain will take care of the colors for this year. Either that or really enhance them.

Crissy - Next time she gives you grief ... call her Sybil, or ask which personality you are addressing! oooh that was bad...

On a serious note, I really hope she doesn't have Alzheimers.

Sylvester is our BigBoy at 22lbs now. He thinks he's starving to death if he doesn't eat every hour LOL! When he jumps off something he goes "uhhh"! Boo and Callie are little bits at 7 & 9lbs.

I know that "uhhh" sound! LOL When my BIL lived with us, he thought people were in the house the first couple of weeks. It was just the cats jumping off the couch!

My cats don't get up on furniture so we don't hear that. Curly does sleep on my bed but we never hear him get down. He's very light on his feet. But when Whiskers is outside and jumps down from his chair or the table we hear him clear inside. LOL.

It's been a while since anyone's posted. Where did you go? ☺

I need somwhere to vent, so, I'll do it here rather than start a new thread. I'm quitting my job of 14 1/2 years today. This has come after much debate and discussion with Darrell. With my feet and back as bad as they are, we've decided it would be best if I step away from the loss prevention business and seek other employment. HR already knows this is a possiblity. We're not hurting for the money, so it won't be missed for a short time while I take a small vacation to regroup.

This decision is hard and heartbreaking as I will miss doing this job horribly. It will, however, be nice to shut off my phone at night and get some proper sleep. (I'm on call every night for alarm calls and such.) I will miss the people I've worked with as many have become friends, as well.

Celia - I'm sure it is difficult after 14 years, but your health has to come first. Luckily you are in a position whhre you can quit. On the other hand, I can't imagine being at the same job for more than 5 years. DH has been with the airline for 27 years...

I've been thinking I'd like to sell fine jewelry. I had an old boss who's position was eliminated and he told me he wanted to sell cars. That's what he's doing today. ☺

Sorry to hear you are quitting but like Sharon said your health comes first. But selling fine jewelry sounds like a fun job. :~)

Sorry I haven't been on, but I got home from the conference Friday night and Saturday morning decided to get online, and I couldn't. So I pittered around with it for awhile and finally called tech support and told them the router isn't talking to the satellite, the little India girl troubleshooted one thing and said there's nothing they could do, I'd have to call the installer Monday morning. So she gave me the phone # and said she put a trouble ticket in. I called at 9:00 this morning and it turns out it's Radio Shack, which I have never had good service with. They said they can't do anything until whenever they download their trouble tickets and they would call me back when they got it. So who knows how long I'll be without internet at home. I thought I was going to go nuts over the weekend without it, didn't know I am an addict lol!

Dave wants to take me to Branson, MO next weekend for my birthday, so I'm taking next Monday off!! Woo Hoo!! That will be another weekend ya'll won't hear from me! I thought I took a picture of my new bed but I guess not, I'll take some tonight and post them tomorrow after I get to work.

I've never had good service with Radio Shack either when it comes to satelite.

I missed everyone here more than I thought.

I haven't had good service with Radio Shack with anything, they're like a bunch of used car salesmen running around. I had to get a new network cable a while back, so I went in and asked the guy working in the computer section about which would be the appropriate network cable to get, he didn't know what a network cable was!!! Retarded!

Good morning, everyone. I'm meeting with my niece today for lunch and seeing her gardens. I'll take my camera and post pics later.

anyone here? i'm not going to worry about my lack of caps. this is hard enuff with keyboard on my lap. went to doc who referred to neurosurgeon, he referred me to pain doctor for a spinal cervical epaderal, not sure of spelling, but in my neck iwas given a steroid shot. didn't hurt much because pain was at 10 anyway. i then went to neuro doc who said i have 2 problems. with degeneration of 4 5 6 7 disks, bone spurs in some, can't remember details. anyway, neuro also wanted me to get traction thingy for home, brought today. the muscle right at your shoulder bone hurts to high heaven, upper arm muscle always feels as if it's going to charlie horse and lower arm muscle hurts too. i can map out 2 nerves that run from neck over to shoulder and how they run on top and below arm and into hand. oh, at first had pt at hospital and guy messed me up really good and the only way i was comfortable was with arm and hand above my head, hand on head. my head was always in front of my neck if that makes sense. o.k. had first shot was due for second today, but insurance says doctor is in network, but facility isn't. we have no out of network benefits. john is about to renew plan and with out of network benefits, isn't cost effective, so i guess we keep this stinking insurance. good news is even though almost same plan now, it's not an hmo, but something else i can't think of. epo or something. so i couldn't get second shot. i have to switch doctor who gives injections and does them at a facility that is in network. you should of heard me on the phone multiple times with whacko insurance people. morons or idiiots, any of those willl do. my legs are shaking, so pardon my misspelling. what else. oh yea been seeing chiropractor and my mom said to go and she'd pay. yesterday i was trying to get a hold of them for something else and my mom who always calls the chiropractor lady barbara, asked me if i was going still to chiropractor and i told her she had cut me down to 1 time a week and she cant believe how good i'm doing, blah blah. then my mom asked me if i knew how much it was costing her to which i replied no, but she said she was giving yu a good deal. then my mom told me how much and was mad. it's confusing to me because she's the one who insisted i go in the first place. grrrrrr....let's see, i go to new pain doctor on november 3rd and who knows how long before 2nd shot. i don't have as much pain, but i can't do anything but sit or stand or walk. of course i can eat by myself and take a shower, but i can't dust or vacuum or pull weeds or nothing. i'm bored. my behind is sore. i don't know what i forgot. probably something, i'm still alive i guess that's important.lol

i miss you all. i have to go hbecause its starting to hurt pretty bad. did i say my index finger of right hand is numb? most of my hand is back to normal, but my index goes from numb to tingling back to numb and so on and so forth. another thing i just remembetred is if shots work i don't need surgery. good. i don't want surgery because he's not just removing spurs, oh no let's make this good. he's removing disk and spurs and fusing bones together and then i can't move my head. i'll look like my dad because yes he's had the same surgery. yippee. he has to turn his body to look back. i asked if a small lazy susan couldn't be inserted in. well at least i made my doctor and the nurse laugh.

yea yeayea, terry is longwinded no matter how pain she's in. you'd think all this medicine would have killed me by now. i can't drive because of medicine so i'm stuck at home. it's cold outside and i have little circulation in my right hand and especaillay ooooppps sorry, in my index finger. put your finger together with somebody elses and then feel on the outside part of the 2 fingers together. mine feels like that, really not much feeling at all. and really really cold. o.k. must go before i fall over. time for more meds yippee.

Wow!! Terry, you just made me speechless. Totally and utterly speechless. Well, hopefully you don't have to have the surgery. So hang in there and just do mind games to make sure those shots work. :~)
