Garden Photos - Part 39

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

This is my neighbors but it drop over the fence into my yard. She said it's a Burning Bush but it's shaped like a smallish tree (15-20 feet tall and wide). I always thought of it as a shrub.

Dyane, nice purple combo.

I second the motion about you all entering the photo contest. We certainly have some talented photogs here.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice shots, Dyane. I like the last one best.

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Thanks Jan & Victor. Victor, no one said anything but I thought "pressed vase" was pretty funny.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Dyane. How's the baby?

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

She's wonderful. Her little personality is starting to emerge. Smiley and cuddly, so cute. She's laying next to me sound asleep and cooing.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wonderful! Hope she's letting you sleep better.

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

She still gets up about 2 or 3 times a night but now she's going back to sleep sooner so it's gotten better.

I love all the late Glads!

Dyane, It's so good to hear that the little one is doing well.

Victore, I love the pond pic!

Thanks for the well wishes all, the hip is getting better very quickly.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

JoAnne, it's good to know about your hip. But sad to know that you've had to have them both done. talk about an Ouch!!! So far they are not mentioning the "r" word (replacement), which is a really good thing.

Bill, thanks for the info on the AM JM. I will keep that In mind. I really think that I want an Am, However any size that I would get would look teensie compared to the aureum. Oh well, such is life!

Very dramatic shots, Victor. Wish I could grow Monkshood but I don't want to poison the kiddos.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Dyane. Gotta watch those kiddies! Actually, many common garden plants are toxic to some degree. You just have to stay on top of them.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

If they're toxic why would you want to stay on top of them???? hee hee

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm toxiphilic!

(Zone 4a)

Yes - you must watch for those toxic plants. You never know when those kids will want to try sticking something in their mouths ugh!!! I still have that problem and mine at 5 yrs and 3 yrs.

Hey did anyone watch that movie called The Happening? Has to do with plants....silly movie though. I won't give it away LOL

I had a couple more pics of this gorgeous blue wildflower (have no idea what is, have to look it up) but the pic just kept coming out fuzzy.
Also this huge zinnia that just bloomed at the edge of the same garden, same thing happened with that shot. My camera is starting to tick me off.
