Wolfie, I've read to even take a nail clipper and nick the seed after it's hulled. If the hull is stubborn to remove, let them soak some more.
It is about three hours give or take. We want enough time to stop for breakfast too. Still debating about bringing the wee one. Rosie that is...not sure if that is allowed.
I'm not sure if Pepper and her Grandma like pets.. I'm sure Rosie is a good girl... It will take us about 4 hours, but we'll drive thru somewhere for a bite or something from home.. (I was out there just now, barefooted with the dewalt 18volt flashlight, leaves sticking to the bottoms of my feet, plants gettin moved around-had to chuckle at myself) I KNOW I've lost it, but ya know.. it just doesn't matter! lol

Poor lil girl, I will remove most of the pods so she can use her energy on just a few. I crossed her with Charles G, too, but I can't find my mark on the stem... I'll check her over good as I'm removing the extras.
Lav, I've had one or two pods in my ALMOST ten years... but then I usually remove all the bloom, stem and all.. cause I didn't think I wanted to grow them from seed.. but man o man she's fertile myrtle.. the blooms are small so wasn't as much of a reach for the moths, I guess... I'm in awe at the site of all those swelling pods.. I'll prolly work on her Sunday, (rest day) she's getting potted up again, and I'll make it quick so I don't freak her out, and make her drop the wanted pods. Can you tell she's AuntB's pet?
lol yep. Do you still have the first brug you ever grew? Seeds are easy. I knew nothing but what I read on the threads and started mine in the cold month of March.
I have started crosses I bought on ebay, but never made one of my own.. I'm going for a small grower, with little orange pendulous blooms like P.Versi... and yes I do have 2 of my first ones.. P.Versi and Pink Beauty.... Versi still has an original trunk, it's HARD wood.. I have kept the "suckers" trimmed away at the bottom and she is my "tree" brug.. she's getting old tho, but I can't bring myself to whack her off and start over with her...cause I'm attached to her the way she is, isn't that pathetic? lol
